Ascendant Path of a Lustful Vampire
Chapter 110: Gree-dy
CHAPTER 110: GREE-DY
"After school?" Caius asked, confused.
Delia raised a brow now and frowned,
"You forgot our spar?" She asked, "You Fucker!"
"I had a lot on my mind," Caius said. It really had slipped his mind with all the things that happened to him two days ago and the time he spent at home yesterday.
At that point, Aylin Khione and her gal pals walked into the Cafeteria. She ignored the attention she was garnering and looked right at Caius who had raised his eyes to look at her. Without pausing her walk, she winked and blew him a kiss before frowning at the fact that there were three girls at the table where he was sitting. She gave each of them a frown before she and her gal pals went over to the table they usually sat at.
Both Kaya and Eloise looked like they were deliberately ignoring Aylin but they did frown at the targeted chill she was sending in their direction. Delia was unbothered because she had something far more pressing and interesting to worry about.
Delia clicked her fingers in front of Caius’ face.
"Hey, over here," she said when he was now looking off to the side.
Caius rolled his eyes until he was looking at her face.
"What is it?" He asked gently with a light smile.
"What do you mean ’what it is’?" Delia asked, "You didn’t show up for our spar yesterday."
"I was in recovery,". Caius said. He sounded like that should have been obvious. And it really should have been, but to keep up that competitive and ’I really want to kick your ass’ energy, Delia brushed it aside.
"Okay," she said provocatively, "You’re all recovered now, aren’t you?"
"I feel quite great actually, yes," Caius answered in a natural tone of voice.
"Great," Delia said with a touch of sarcasm, "Then today. You versus me. You know where."
"Not today," he said.
"Why not?" Delia asked tauntingly, "Are you running? Are you scared?"
"Not today," Caius insisted simply.
"Fine. Tomorrow then. Can you do that?" Delia said and she was leaning even harder forward again.
"You know, with you this close, it almost looks like you’re fishing for a kiss," Caius said.
"W-What?" Delia said looking flustered but she still didn’t lean back in her seat. Her eyes just darted down a few times to look at Caius’ lips. They really were so close and then they moved as he said in a low and gentle voice,
"Tomorrow works."
"What?" Delia asked and then she shook out of the stupor she had been falling into and leaned back as she cleared her throat a few times so the next age spoke, her words could come out coherently. Or, so she hoped.
"Great. I mean Good. I mean Fine. Tomorrow then. Get ready to umm, lose... Yeah, get ready to lose and all that."
She tried eating then but ended up mostly just picking at it.
"You two are going to fight?" Kaya asked, understanding the gist of what just happened.
Delia perked up a bit then.
"Yeah," she said, "And I’ll invite you two to come watch but I don’t think he’d want to lose in front of his girlfriends. I wouldn’t want to embarrass him like that."
Eloise blushed at the term ’Girlfriends’. Kaya paused and then shrugged lightly as she decided the term was accurate enough. She would have gone for something deeper for her and Caius but that worked too.
"I don’t mind them there," Caius said easily.
"We agreed it would be just us," Delia said, "Let’s keep it that way. For your sake."
Caius laughed but said nothing more. Not just about that but throughout the rest of breakfast. It wasn’t that he wanted to be silent but Eloise pulled Delia into a conversation then, Kaya got pulled in as well, and soon, the three were chatting animatedly.
There was something about the way they talked that made it clear most of their conversations were a continuation of an earlier conversation. Like they’d refer to something they had talked about the day before while Caius was away from school and it would lead into a whole new conversation path.
It was fascinating to watch and listen to.
It was during the first class of the day after Break that Caius realized it wasn’t just a change in Cafeteria seating arrangements. For the first time since school started, Delia Kragaten didn’t seclude herself to a singular seat at the back of the class, she had a seating partner in the form of Eloise with whom she looked to have continued the conversation they had been having at the Cafeteria.
After class and while they all walked through the long Lochxen Corridors to head to the Magi History Classroom for the last class before break, a delicate hand grabbed Kaya’s arm and pulled her away from Caius’ side.
Caius noticed almost immediately and turned around to see Kaya’s beautiful elven-delicate face staring into that impossible face of Aylin Khione who was smirking as she delivered a piece of news.
The way Kaya frowned as she heard that news and the way she glanced at him after, told Caius exactly what it had been. Then again, that shouldn’t have been all that hard to figure out even without those clues. There was very little else Aylin would want to tell Kaya or anyone else for that matter.
Aylin released Kaya’s arm then, chuckling and wiggling her perfect brows tauntingly before she brushed her greyish white hair back and walked away with her gal pals not far behind. When she got close to Caius, she leaned to the side and planted a kiss against his cheek, making sure to throw another taunting glance at Kaya—who was glaring at her hard—before she left for class.
Caius sighed.
Kaya stomped toward him then, so hard that her ponytail spanked her ass a good few times.
"Kaya..." Caius started but she interrupted.
"Come on," she said and grabbed his hand, "We’re going to be late."
They got to class just as Professor Anne Gilligan stepped out of her Portal Gate. She was dressed similarly to last week. A tight pencil shirt that framed her ass and showed off its impressive roundness, a shirt that managed to hold close over her large breasts. And a robe to wear over that. A robe she was already taking off which allowed Caius to make a detailed observation.
She hadn’t actually started her lecture so neither Caius nor Kaya had to apologize for being late or ask for permission to go and find their seats so Kaya kept pulling Caius toward where they had sat last week. As they walked past Professor Anne Gilligan, Caius raised a hand and waved.
"Good morning, Professor," he said, and the redness that appeared in her cheek before she quickly recovered told Caius the interaction from last week was very much still on her mind.
"Morning, Ca— Mr. Von Helsing," she managed to say without too much of a stammer, "To your seat please. Class will begin now."
Caius chuckled a little at how flustered she was. She looked so cute which was a stark difference from the pissed-off look Kaya had on her face as she took her seat at the very back of the class and pulled Caius into the seat beside her.
"Aylin Khione?!" She said in a low voice that somehow sounded loud still.
"You’re mad?" Caius asked, wanting a proper gauge of what she was feeling so he’d know how to approach this.
"Of course I’m mad," Kaya said folding her arms beneath her breasts as she let out a sigh and shook her head,
"I know you’re greedy Caius, but this..."
"Wait, I’m what?!" Caius asked with twitching lips.
"Gree-dy," Kaya repeated still in a whisper but with each syllable enunciated so there was no possibility that she wasn’t heard correctly by him, and then continued,
"You want more than a single partner. And that’s fine. I know what you are. I accept it. I don’t mind it, but Aylin Khione? That rude, pretentious, jealous bitch?
Poor Eloise has been waiting since forever and you’ve done nothing about that but you’re after Aylin Khione now? Come on!"
