CHAPTER 35: IS THIS HOW YOU SEDUCED MY BROTHER?

At this moment, the Everleigh siblings had returned outside the private room, and Lucas had already completed the blood pact.

"You lied," Lucas said. "You had physical contact with Jameson ten minutes before his death."

"I didn’t!" Kai struggled to stand but found his body completely unresponsive. "What did you do to me?!"

"No nonsense," Lucas commanded, manipulating Kai’s hand to rise, palm charged with Mana.

"If you don’t tell the truth, I can make you end your own life right now. If you cooperate, I might consider letting you live."

"I’ll talk! I’ll talk!" Overwhelming fear twisted Kai’s once handsome features. "I did have contact with your brother! I... I just accidentally bumped into him while dodging falling rocks!"

"Lies!" Lucas snapped sharply. "If it was truly an accident, why did you lie when I questioned you earlier?"

"I... I was wrong, I lost my mind..." Gripped by terror, Kai could not maintain his deception and broke down completely.

"I... while your brother was shielding his companions from the rocks, I gave him a push. I shoved him off the mountainside. It was chaotic, so no one noticed..."

"Why?" Sarah’s face was cold as frost. "Why would you do that?"

"Because... because..." Kai glanced at Lucas, whose expression was equally dark, and finally confessed, "Because I have feelings for Blanche. I thought... if your brother died, I could step in..."

"I’ll kill you!" Unable to contain her rage any longer, Sarah rushed forward, her right palm charged with Mana, ready to strike Kai down on the spot. But Lucas caught her, holding her back.

"Don’t be impulsive. If you kill him, you’ll be implicated too."

"But... but..." Sarah buried her face in Lucas’s chest, her tears falling uncontrollably, dampening his shirt.

"No! You can’t!" Kai screamed. "You said you would spare me!"

"I said I would ’consider’ it. Now I’ve considered it," Lucas stated coldly. "If you live, my sister will suffer. So it’s better if you die."

Lucas had no interest in further discussion. He silenced Kai, manipulated his body into the bathtub, slit his arteries, and left him to bleed out. His body would not be discovered until several days later.

After confirming Kai’s death, Lucas led Sarah out of the ninth-grade boys’ dormitory.

Just outside the dormitory entrance, Lucas intended to take Sarah back to his own room to comfort her, but she tugged at his sleeve and pointed toward another nearby dormitory building. "That’s the ninth-grade girls’ dormitory."

Lucas understood her implication. "You want to go see Blanche?"

"Yes. I want her to know she’s responsible for my brother’s death." Lucas did not object. He took her hand and entered the building.

After consulting the System, Lucas obtained the specific room number. He walked to the door and knocked.

Half a minute later, Blanche, now dressed in a white silk nightgown, opened the door.

Still invisible, Lucas and Sarah pushed past a confused Blanche into the room, closed the door behind them, and then dropped their invisibility.

"Sarah? How did you—" Blanche was horrified at the sudden appearance of the Everleigh siblings, but before she could finish, Sarah rushed forward and slapped her hard across the face.

Lucas had already sealed Blanche’s cultivation and strength. Unable to withstand the impact, she fell backward onto the sofa.

Before Blanche could recover, Sarah was already on top of her, pinning her arms with one hand while relentlessly slapping her over and over with the other.

"I... didn’t..." Exposed and humiliated, Blanche tried to turn away, but Sarah held her down firmly.

"...I never seduced anyone..."

Lucas took out his phone and played the recorded confrontation with Kai for Blanche to watch.

As she listened, Blanche gradually understood the entire chain of events and realized her own predicament.

The realization that she had indirectly caused her lover’s death left her heartbroken and devoid of will to live.

Staring into Sarah’s furious face, which bore a faint resemblance to Jameson’s, Blanche felt a strange sense of calm wash over her. She whispered softly, "I understand, Sarah. It’s all my fault. I caused your brother’s death. How do you want to punish me?"
