CHAPTER 406: AVINA

Daniel was left speechless after hearing the girl’s words. He hadn’t expected her situation to be this bad—were they really bullying her that much?

Of course, he also considered the possibility that this girl could truly be cursed. But for him, that was just a possibility, and until he saw and experienced it himself, he wouldn’t accept it.

"If you put it that way... my name is Avina. Well, that’s what the others call me. I didn’t choose this name myself."

"Nice to meet you, Avina."

Avina’s cheeks flushed a little. She nodded and then glanced sideways at Daniel, still too shy to look him directly in the eye.

"I’ve been looking for you these past few days. Why didn’t you come to the training grounds?" Daniel asked curiously.

"Well... the ones there were bullying me. I didn’t want to... And when I saw someone else show up, I was afraid you’d bully me too. So I just watched from afar. At first, when I saw you beating up the others, I was scared of you... but slowly I realized you’re actually a good person." Avina hesitated before answering.

"I see." Daniel sighed, not sure what to say for a moment.

"Do you hate those who bully you?"

"I don’t know. They hurt me, but I don’t like hurting others, or seeing others get hurt... I just want everyone to be friends."

"So you want to be friends with them?"

"But how? They hate me," Avina asked in confusion.

"Don’t worry. How about trusting me?" Daniel gave her a charming smile.

Seeing that smile, Avina blushed even more. But it also made her decide to trust him. After all, it’s not like she had anything to lose.

When Daniel saw that she agreed, he took her hand and pulled her with him toward the training grounds. Avina, realizing where they were heading, became frightened and instinctively tried to resist. But he didn’t let her.

In the end, she sighed and stopped resisting—there was nothing she could do in this situation anyway.

As soon as they arrived at the training grounds, all the young people still lying on the ground turned their attention toward them. Though, upon seeing Avina, their gazes grew cold and filled with hostility.

"Do you all know this girl?" Daniel looked at them and asked.

"Master, she’s cursed! You should stay away from her!" one of the girls in the group shouted.

Daniel sighed and released his aura—not just any aura, but the Death Aura! The kind of aura that decayed and destroyed everything in its path.

Of course, he suppressed its strength, otherwise every single one of them here would have died without question.

Under the pressure of the Death Aura, all their faces turned pale with fear. Their stomachs churned and they were about to vomit. All of them felt as if they were personally experiencing death.

This included Avina as well. Since she was closer to Daniel than the others, the effect on her was even stronger. And Daniel deliberately didn’t shield her from it.

"Master, what are you doing?!"

"I got angry when I heard you hurt this innocent girl. Now I want to bully you instead. What can you do about it?" Daniel said mockingly.

"Please stop! Please let them go!" Avina, who was barely holding onto her consciousness, stood in front of him, spreading her arms wide to defend them.

"They hurt you. And yet, you want to protect them?"

For a moment, doubt flickered in Avina’s eyes. She turned her head to look back, but when she saw their agonized faces, all her hesitation vanished.

"If I hurt them too, then what’s the difference between me and them?"

A smile appeared on Daniel’s face when he heard those words. The others—especially those who had bullied Avina before—were shocked and speechless after hearing her.

For a moment, they couldn’t even believe what they were hearing. This girl was actually trying to protect them?

Daniel withdrew his aura, and the atmosphere returned to normal. Everyone gasped, breathing heavily, sighs of relief leaving their mouths.

"Look at yourselves. For so long, you all bullied her, yet she tried to protect you. You should be ashamed of yourselves." He looked at the fools with scorn and said.

Guilt and regret appeared on all their faces. It was obvious they regretted their actions.

Of course, just to be sure, Daniel had used [Enchanter Of Hearts]. Even though he was certain they already felt guilty, he wanted to make absolutely sure.

Now, his goal was achieved.

One by one, they stood up and approached Avina. She became frightened when she saw them coming, instinctively raising her arms to shield herself as if preparing to be struck.

But what she expected didn’t happen. Instead, when she looked carefully, she saw they were bowing.

"We sincerely apologize. Can you forgive us for what we did?"

Suddenly, tears welled up in Avina’s eyes and began streaming down her cheeks.

"Of course!" she said with a bright smile. Seeing this, they all smiled too. A few of the girls even stepped forward to wipe her tears away.

"If I ever hear of you bullying her again, then instead of just experiencing death, you’ll really die," Daniel looked at them and warned.

They all nodded in understanding.

Daniel still had more to talk about with Avina, but he realized now wasn’t the time. Seeing that she wanted to spend time with her new friends, he turned and headed back to Andreas’ palace to check whether he had finally returned from the Black Palace.

However, the moment he entered, a big baby dragon greeted him warmly.
