CHAPTER 26: CHAPTER 26: DANGEROUS SITUATION

’ BY APHRODITE’S PANTIES WHY WON’T YOU GIVE UP?’ Ved ran as fast as he could without using his flash trait, he had to preserve his stamina because his enemies do not tire.

On his tail were thousands upon thousands of bullet ants, the smallest were about the size of a human head and the rank 2 ones running slowly behind them were as large as dogs.

However behind all of them was an ant the size of a cow with beautiful ocean blue cicada wings, this was a rank 3 ant. The most terrifying thing though was that, that ant was not even the queen.

He had yet to see the queen, that was merely a queens guard and he doubted a queen would have one guard which meant there were more rank 3 ants in their nest.

How did he get into this situation you wonder? So does he, the last thing remembered was falling asleep and the next thing he knew he woke up being dragged into a nest.

Ofcourse he was not going to let that slide or he would not be Ved, like any good dragon he killed the ants around him and in anger spew a poison cloud into their nest.

In his mind the poison was supposed to kill all of them but he forgot the self sacrificing nature of ants, one of them at rank 2 sucked all the poison cloud dying in the process.

But it was able to save the rest and they were pissed. Now he was here running like his life depended on it, and it did. The only problem was he used all of his poison because he wanted to make sure it covered the entire nest.

The only thing left in his arsenal is his web but they were in an open space with very few trees around. He couldn’t use his web to it full potential in this situation.

If he was in a forest he could’ve stuck the web into trees creating obstacles but alas. He continued running and dodging waves after waves of acid.

From the distance he could see the mountain range and suddenly an idea struck him, it was a stupid and reckless idea but he didn’t have many options.

To begin with he doesn’t understand how he got on this side of the mountain range. There was no way the ants could’ve carried him all this way and he did not feel it.

Not to mention that sudden deep sleep, something was behind all of this but why, why would it put him to sleep just to give him to ants.

Unless the ants themselves were the ones who put him to sleep, he denied that idea. The ants haven’t displayed that ability all this time plus the ones who carried him were weak.

The mountain range drew close and the urge to go there grew stronger and stronger. Then he stopped. ’ Why do I have such a strong urge to go there?

It as if my salvation lies there but why would I think that? I’ve never been to the mountain range before, especially this part of it so why?’

He couldn’t find answers unless he went to the mountain range itself to seek them ’ S**t, this is getting creepy’ he reasoned against going into the mountain range yet that reasoning turned into a reason to go there.

Whatever was drawing him in was really strong but he couldn’t stand here forever, the ants were drawing close. ’ F*** it, I’ll figure things out when I get there.’

He knew something was influencing his decision making but he couldn’t come up with a good reason not to go to the mountain range.

So he went, when he was only a few kilometres away from the mountain the huge rank 3 ant moved. It flapped it beautiful wings and took to the skies.

It body zipped through the air like the wind and reached him almost immediately. Mind you he was over 2 kilometres away from it and it covered that distance in a blink.

He knew holding back now would mean death so he used his flash trait at full capacity. His body blurred forward causing it mandibles to miss and snap the air.

The air exploded and a giant shockwave ripped the ground and sent his body flying forward. Before he could adjust it was already above him ready to snap him in half.

He shot a ball of web into it face, that gave him enough room to run. It screeched in anger and it body flickered and appeared behind him.

Before he could dodge or shoot another ball of web he was grabbed by it mandibles but it failed to bite him in half. Even though it was a rank above him his scales were incredibly hard.

He felt the pressure around him increase and his scales were starting to give in, a small crack appeared on one of them and the pain was transmitted into his insides.

He roared and activated an ability he hadn’t used in a while Haki armour. The pain disappeared and so did the pressure. Suddenly it spit a flood of acid at him.

Although the acid did not harm him immediately it was slowly eating through his haki armour, if it reached his scales he would royally f***ed.

He roared to the skies and used every ounce of strength his body could muster. He swung his claw at the ant’s head. The air exploded and temperature around his claw rose due to friction.

When it landed a giant shockwave blasted the area killing every ant in the surrounding dozens of metres. The ground shattered and dust covered both of them.

When the dust cleared the ant appeared with only a small crack in it exoskeleton, the only reason his attack dealt suck little demage was because ants were defence focused creatures.

If it was anything else, even if it was rank 3 it would’ve suffered a not so insignificant demage. He could see the anger boiling in it eyes.

’ I’m sorry, let talk this out.’ it flung it head and threw him away. His body zipped through the air faster than he had ever moved before. Before he could react his body shattered the ground leaving a giant crater.

He continued to roll forward for hundreds of metres leaving a long trench on the ground. However he was fine, with haki armour plus his iron scales, something of this level could not harm him significantly but his haki armour was almost eaten through by the acid.

The only problem was that the ant was completely pissed off now. With a flap of it wings it appeared above him ready to bite him again.

He prepared himself for it, by now his haki armour was gone, luckily it took all of the acid to eat through it but that meant he had to depend only on his scales for defence from now on.

He watched as the acid coated mandibles drew closer, just as they were about to reach him something zapped above him. ’ Huh?’
