Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties
Chapter 173 Double Trouble in Flame Wing City
Savra glanced around the dimly lit warehouse. She tapped her chin as she thought of something. "Luna, our mission is probably finished, right?"
Luna nodded. "Yeah. All we needed to do was secure this Red Dragon material. So I can say that, Mission accomplished."
Savra grinned as she folded her arms and turned to Luna. "So... how about we take things a step further?"
Savra turned to Loxen. "With Loxen''s abilities, it''d be easy to slip through the cracks of every warehouse door in this district. Don''t you think?"@@@@
Luna raised her eyebrow, then smirked. She already caught onto the idea. "I see... So you want to plunder the Kryndal family, huh?"
Savra shrugged. "Why not? They''ve been a thorn in everyone''s side for long enough."
Savra glanced at Liora and smirked. "Besides, they don''t seem to know the true value of half the things they''re hoarding. Think of it as... redistributing wealth."
Luna chuckled softly and smirked. "You make a good point. And Master wouldn''t mind us bringing back a few extra treasures."
She reached out to stroke Loxen''s silver fur. "With him, sneaking into their other warehouses will be a breeze."
Savra gestured toward the exit and grinned. "Then what are we waiting for? Let''s make the most of this little trip."
Luna nodded playfully. "Alright then. Let''s plunder the Kryndal family."
Loxen let out a low growl. It prepared to meld into the shadows once more. The panther crouched low, ready to carry its riders wherever they directed.
Savra climbed onto Loxen, with Luna following close behind. "Let''s make this quick and clean. We''ll strip them of anything worth taking and leave them wondering what hit them."
Luna chuckled as Loxen began to meld back into the shadows with ease. "You''re enjoying this way too much."
Savra smirked, leaning slightly forward. "And you''re not?"
Luna only chuckled and soon they disappeared into the shadows. They were now going to turn the Kryndal family''s warehouses into their personal treasure troves.
Sevrina frowned after hearing it. "Worried? I''m not worried. I''m pissed off. Whoever those intruders are, they''ve got guts trying to poke around where they don''t belong."
Casey smiled faintly. "And we''ll deal with them. But for now, we need to focus on this mission."
Sevrina glanced at Casey. "Fine. But only because I don''t want to hear Bryson whining about a failed mission."
Flame Wing City finally came into view. Sevrina then turned around to her group. "Alright, listen up! We''re hitting that warehouse, grabbing the material, and getting out. No screw-ups. Got it?"
The group of cloaked figures nodded silently. Casey placed her hand on Sevrina''s arm. "We''ll do this together."
For a brief moment, Sevrina began to calm down a bit. She huffed and pulled her arm away. "Yeah, yeah. Let''s just get this over with."
With Casey at her side and the group trailing behind, Sevrina led the way toward the city.
But as they neared the city outskirts, Casey suddenly stopped in her tracks. She was staring at the artifact she held in her hand. "Wait."
Sevrina halted immediately and turned to face her. "What is it? Why are we stopping?"
Casey frowned as she stared at the artifact. She could see that the point was moving. "The artifact... it''s moving."
Sevrina was immediately surprised by it. She stepped closer to get a better look. "What the hell do you mean,''moving''?"
Casey held the artifact up for Sevrina to see. "It''s never done this before. Something''s not right."
Sevrina clenched her fists. "Are you saying... someone''s tampered with it? Or worse, someone else is already there?"
Casey didn''t answer immediately. She was still glaring at the artifact, trying to find some answer.
She then decided to look up and met Sevrina''s glare. "I don''t know. But whatever it is... it''s not normal."
Sevrina exhaled sharply. She glanced back at the group trailing behind them. "We don''t have time for this. Get ready—we''re moving in now."
