CHAPTER 83: CHAPTER : 83 : YOU’RE JUST WHAT I NEEDED!

"Don’t know, but we need to get away from him." Aiden shouted.

The beast opened his mouth, light began to form in his mouth.

"Fall back. It’s an energy beam." Aiden shouted.

Instantly, Aurora and Lindash activated a barrier in front of them.

The group landed. The beam was ready. Then he shoot. The size of the beam was enough to take all of them with it.

"System... Barrier!" Aiden shouted.

[BARRIER ACTIVATED]

An invisible barrier appeared just behind the first barrier.

"Will it hold on?" King Kragg asked.

"We have to see." Vegia, Lindash and Aiden said in Unison.

The beam hit the barrier in full force. Vegia and Lindash struggled to keep the barrier.

"All of of you... We need go behind him and hit at point black range. Vegia and Sir Madoka, please distract him." Aiden ordered.

They nodded.

Except Vegia and Lindash, everyone spilt in two, rounding form opposite sides.

Adrish took Aurora’s hand. Fluffynugget followed.

The beast pushed forward. Crack began to fall on the barriers surface.

*Just keep it from breaking apart until princess, Sir Aiden and the others get away from the blast and go behind it." Vegia thought.

"Don’t give up." Lindash shouted.

Vegia nodded.

Aiden and his group reached behind him and jumped at the same time.

"HIT!" King Kragg shouted.

"HAAA!"

"Mii~"

Suddenly, as they were about to hit, something caught their eyes. His back was wobbling.

"Huh?"

Then–

Beast emerged out of him and jumped toward them.

They blocked at the same time.

Aiden crossed his daggers in front of him. Luna grabbed on to his legs. Thristle did the same.

They all fall back. The beast which were formed were a mini version of him.

"They they came out of him?" Adrish asked, dumbfounded.

Luna and Thristle pushed away the beast they blocked by grabbing.

"They look him but small. As if they’re his children." Thristle said.

"Whatever it is, we just lost our best chance." Aiden said.

Then he remembered the others.

"Vegia! Sir Madoka! Get away from him. My barrier is still active." Aiden shouted.

"Alright!" Vegia and Lindash said in unison.

Suddenly the huge beast started punching the barrier at the same time.

Vegia and Lindash ran, leaving the barrier. Instantly the barrier broke, leaving only the next.

Suddenly the beast stopped the beam.

"Huh?" Aiden muttered.

Then he turned toward them. Then roared.

"So... We have to fight them and his father at the same time now?" Adrish asked, lips twitching.

"Seems so," Aiden said, spinning his daggers in his hands. "Everyone, focus. Vegia, Sir Madoka, kill the small ones!"

"On it!" Vegia shouted, flames swirling in her palm.

"Freeze them!" Lindash yelled, her staff glowing bright blue.

The smaller beasts leaped at them like rabid wolves. Vegia slammed her staff into the ground. BOOM! Fire erupted, scorching two of them mid air. Lindash followed, ice spikes forming and shooting forward, pinning one to the floor.

"They’re weak to magic!" Vegia yelled, panting.

"Keep it up!" Aiden barked, parrying a claw strike from another mini-beast. He sliced upward, black blood spraying.

Fluffynugget just did his usual full body strike, glitters flying.

The big beast roared, its hand slamming down, shaking the entire battlefield. Adrish cursed, rolling aside, dragging Aurora with him.

"Stay low!" Adrish shouted.

"Working on it!" Aurora yelled, casting a green healing wave over Lindash, whose arm was bleeding.

"Focus!" Aiden said. "We’ll hold him!"

Kragg, Grimp, and Thristle rushed the beast’s front. The giant’s claw came down, smashing the ground. Kragg’s axe met it head on, barely deflecting the blow.

"Fuck, he’s strong!" Kragg grunted.

Arisha dashed in, slashing at the beast’s arm. The blade only scratched the thick hide. The beast swung again, knocking Arisha off her feet, sending her skidding across the dirt.

"Arisha!" Luna cried, rushing over. She blocked a swipe with her claws, snarling as sparks flew.

"Focus on killing him first!" Arisha coughed, spitting blood.

The smaller beasts circled Vegia and Lindash, snarling. One leapt, Lindash barely raising a frost wall to block.

"Vegia!"

"I got it!" Vegia threw a fireball, blowing one apart. The air smelled like burnt flesh.

Aiden gritted his teeth, charging at the massive beast. He slid under a swipe, daggers slashing at its leg joint. Sparks flew, but the hide barely gave way.

"Hard skin," Aiden muttered. "We need a weak point!"

Kragg swung his axe again, cutting into the beast’s arm. Blood splashed, but it barely flinched.

Suddenly, a smaller beast lunged at Adrish from behind. Adrish spun, slicing its head clean off.

"They just keep coming!" Adrish barked.

Aurora was chanting fast, healing Vegia’s burns while dodging debris.

"Hold on!"

"I’m fine!" Vegia screamed, blasting a mini-beast point-blank.

The big beast charged forward suddenly, slamming into Groth and Kragg. Both flew back, hitting the ground hard.

"Sir!" Aiden shouted.

"I’m good... maybe!" Kragg groaned, barely lifting his axe.

"Fall back!" Aiden ordered, blocking a swipe. The impact made his arms shake, but he held firm.

Luna jumped on the beast’s back, clawing its neck. It bucked hard, slamming her against the ground. She gasped in pain, but Aiden grabbed her arm and pulled her up.

"You okay?"

"Y-Yeah," she gritted out, clutching her side.

Adrish and Thristle ran in, distracting it.

"Vegia! Hit him now!" Adrish yelled.

Vegia roared, summoning a massive wall of flame, burning several smaller beasts to ash. The big beast’s skin singed, but it just roared louder.

"Not working!" Vegia cursed.

"Then keep the small ones busy!" Aiden shouted, charging at the beast’s leg again. He stabbed both daggers deep this time, twisting. The beast howled, swinging its arms. Aiden ducked, barely dodging.

The ground shook as another mini-beast leapt at Lindash. He blasted it with ice, freezing it solid, then shattered it with her staff.

Aurora collapsed beside her, panting. "I... can’t heal much more..."

"You’re fine," Gramp muttered, holding his bleeding shoulder.

The beast roared again, slamming both fists into the ground. A shockwave knocked everyone down. Adrish landed hard, Aurora tumbling beside him.

"Shit!" Adrish spat.

Fluffynugget launched himself toward the beast, but got slapped and launched back.

It flew directly toward Luna. Luna extend her hand to catch him. But he was too fast. He collided against her boobs, bouncing against her, then Luna held him against her boobs.

"Fluffynugget, wake... wake up!" She called.

Fluffynugget’s head was wobbling. He was seeing Luna’s boobs.

Aiden gritted his teeth, standing despite the ringing in his ears. He looked around, everyone else was down, struggling to get up.

"Fuck..." Aiden muttered, spinning his blades. "Guess it’s just me now."

The beast snarled, focusing on him.

"Alright, big guy. Let’s dance."

He sprinted forward, dodging a swipe, jumping onto its arm, climbing fast. It swung, but he leapt, stabbing its neck. It roared, shaking violently, trying to throw him off.

He ripped his blades free, flipped, and landed on its back. He stabbed again, aiming for the base of its skull. Black blood gushed.

It screamed, spinning in rage. Aiden jumped off, rolling to the ground.

"Still standing, huh?" he muttered, panting.

It lunged, jaws snapping. Aiden dodged, stabbing its eye. It howled, smashing its head into the ground in pain.

"That’s it," Aiden muttered, charging forward. He climbed its head again, stabbing deep into its other eye.

The beast roared, thrashing wildly.

"Stay still, dammit!" Aiden yelled, plunging both daggers deep into its skull. It wasn’t deep enough.

The beast swung his head toward Aiden, but Aiden dodged, hopping back.

"I just need one deep hit to use Tempest." He muttered. "But how? It’s skin is too thick."

Suddenly the beast punched toward him. Aiden looked forward, barely getting the time to block. He crossed his dagger in front of him.

Suddenly, something black stepped in between him and the fist. Then clawed at him, slashing his fist, deep, deflecting it.

Everyone looked in shock.

The black beast landed with grace in front of him. Her body was like the night’s sky.

"A beast?" Aiden muttered.

"She is so sparkly." Thristle said.

"Bond beast?" Aiden muttered.

Then he smiled, grinning.

"You’re just what I needed."

"I am getting a bad feeling about this." Luna said.

Thristle just stared.

Inside the camps of Grimclaw.

Lysandra and the others got the new of their win.

Throk jumped in excitement, "Yeah! We won."

"Th-kun... Calm down." Eline said, rubbing her forehead, but smiling.

Lysandra was so happy that tears fell from her eyes.

"Mummy..." Leona said, softly and cutely, cupping her cheeks.

"Ohh... My baby. Mummy is just very happy." Lysandra said, hugging her to her bosoms.

"Mmm... Mummy’s warm." Leona murmered.

"Onii-Chan is going to come back. Yaa!" Ivy said, bounching along with Throk.

"Huh?" Leona muttered.

"What happened, sweetheart?" Lysandra asked.

"I... I sense a new Mummy."

Leona just giggled against her bosom.

The beast snorted, looking toward his eyes.

Their eyes met and Aiden smiled.
