His hands were completely full, piled high with goods.

Arriving at the cave entrance, the Sen Ran Beastman set everything down. His expression was cool, his demeanor aloof and handsome, as he slowly spoke.

"Yan Yan, I’ve brought some things back."

Si Yan didn’t respond.

"There’s prey, salt, and some fruits and vegetables that I’m not sure if you can eat."

Si Yan still didn’t respond.

"I saw something that looks a lot like those chili peppers of yours, except it’s green instead of red, and it’s a bit larger."

"Green peppers?!!!" Si Yan shot out of the cave in an instant. "Where are they? Let me see!"

Seeing Si Yan emerge from the cave, the Sen Ran Beastman’s eyes softened.

He rummaged through his hide bag of fruits and vegetables, found a green pepper, and handed it to Si Yan.

"Look."

Si Yan took the green pepper, broke it open, and sniffed it. Her eyes lit up. "It really is a green pepper!"

With green peppers, she could unlock so many more dishes!

For instance, stir-fried shredded potatoes with green peppers, scrambled eggs with green peppers, stir-fried pork with green peppers, twice-cooked pork with green peppers!!

There were too many to count!

Si Yan was thrilled. After breaking open the green pepper, she directly transported the seeds into her dimensional space. The Old Gecko, upon seeing the green pepper seeds, resignedly began to plant them.

But she heard the serpent Beastman whisper in her ear.

"How long does pregnancy last?"

The Old Gecko said, "If you’re carrying a serpent Beastman’s offspring, you’ll be pregnant for two months. After laying the egg, you let that long worm incubate it for another two months."

"If it’s one of our Beastfolk, then you’ll be pregnant for three months. After laying the egg, you let that long worm incubate it for half a year."
