CHAPTER 228: [LILITH WANTS TO SLEEP] - SILVANUS’S PART (14)

That’s right, it was just a nap. Lilith was even more honest than the words of the onlookers.

She carefully dragged her long intestines along, then lay down beside Silvanus with equal care. If she had a beating heart, perhaps he could have heard it thudding wildly from excitement.

"Heavens, what should I do, I... I’m so thrilled. You... you’ll sleep with me forever, won’t you?"

"You have no idea, I like you so much. From the first time I saw you, I was moved. You should belong to me and stand on the same side as me. The weak are truly unworthy of you! Oh heavens, I’m going insane!"

Her body trembled uncontrollably, so agitated she might fall off the bed. The clattering of her bones rang far too clearly in the dark of night.

Silvanus: "..." A complete mental case—beyond saving.

Lilith suddenly continued, "And also, also, since last time..."

Silvanus narrowed his eyes. He knew precisely what Lilith was about to say—he couldn’t let her reveal any information!

"If you don’t sleep, I’m leaving," Silvanus said.

As expected, his words startled her so much that she jumped. She went silent at once.

But then, the creaking of her bones grew even louder. Her eyeballs quivered, and her pupils shrank to pinpoints.

She suddenly sat up and pressed herself over Silvanus. Fresh blood and charred flesh from her body dripped down, landing on Silvanus’s fair face. One pitch-black skeletal hand seized his chin, the color of the blood almost blinding in its vividness.

She opened her mouth, her voice a hoarse, suppressed growl: "You... you dare speak to me like that? I could crush you to death!"

After a pause, her whole body trembled again. Suddenly, she bent down, hugging Silvanus tightly, taking deep breaths, speaking excitedly, "Don’t... don’t be scared, I was just teasing, heeheehee. I... I like you. You smell so good—don’t let those two dogs outside catch your scent, heeheehee."

She kept giggling "heehee," her body shaking uncontrollably. The stench of charred meat mixed with fresh, metallic blood invaded Silvanus’s nose. Thinking about Lilith’s spilled entrails possibly draped across him made him feel an intense wave of disgust—he almost couldn’t keep the expression off his handsome face.

At this rate, he might end up a pervert too. The monsters in this dungeon were...

Silvanus closed his eyes and endured, letting Lilith cling to him all night.

She kept talking—sometimes flaring up in sudden anger, sometimes softening with apologies, rambling about anything and everything, wandering from topic to topic—but no matter what, she never slept, as if she didn’t know what fatigue was.

Silvanus had no idea how much time had passed; he only felt his bones stiffening and his ears aching so sharply it was as if they might start bleeding.

Finally, dawn broke, and the weight on him abruptly disappeared.

Silvanus, who had kept his eyes shut, couldn’t help but open them. At first, the sunlight made him frown slightly.

He blinked and scanned the room—everything was the same as before, except there was no trace of Lilith. If not for the fresh blood and burn marks still clearly on his body, he might have thought the entire night had been nothing but an illusion.

[Oh my god, they were lying on each other and still didn’t do anything? So is it Lilith who’s not up to it, or Silvanus?]

[That’s right, I even had my camera ready, and Silvanus and Lilith gave me pure love? No! I want seg, seg, seg!!!]

The driving had gotten too heavy—Silvanus’s face darkened as he watched the flood of indecent comments scrolling past his eyes.

[Pants already off and now I have to put them back on...]

[Don’t say Silvanus isn’t up to it, alright? Getting it up would be the real problem if Lilith looks like that. Silvanus’s tastes aren’t twisted—his handsome face already tells me that much.]

[These days, looks are everything, huh.]

[Yeah, not his type, but still sleeping in the same bed all night, hahaha.]

[Honestly, if it were me...]

[Brother above, you need to be kicked out of here.]

Silvanus really couldn’t stand looking at these comments anymore. He pushed them aside and got down to the real business—

The real reason he’d come to Lilith’s room.

Silvanus swung his legs off the bed. When his feet touched the floor, he felt the chocolate-like ground sink beneath him, a powerful force trying to drag him to the other side, just like Drake had described.

Still, Silvanus didn’t pay much attention to it. His gaze turned to his target—

Creation!

A perfect replica, a high-grade substitute, had appeared in the room.

[!!!!!!!]

[No idea how many exclamation marks to write!!!]

[So Silvanus knew?! But how—how could he know? That’s impossible! Too absurd!]

[He’s always stayed with the others, never even joining discussions. I didn’t care about anything about him except that face!]

[Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Who’s the real dangerous one here?!]

[There’s a reason he became a Priest of the gods, right?]

[But where did he get that information?]

Sorry, I got it from you guys. It’s too bad it’s not time to find out yet.

Silvanus shrugged inwardly. After storing the item in his space, he prepared to jump out the window.

Bang!

At that moment, the door was suddenly kicked open. The sound and the force were practically a signature, instantly revealing the identity of the person arriving.

Sure enough, Drake’s towering figure stood in the doorway, practically taking up the entire frame.

His expression was grim, his brows nearly touching, his face carrying the look of someone who could execute a few hundred people on the spot.

By contrast, Leonard stood to the side, his head lowered, fidgeting, and looking genuinely delicate.

Silvanus had barely thought this when he saw Leonard lift his hand.

It swiftly morphed into a sunflower stalk, then rapidly extended—supple yet fast—shooting toward Silvanus at breakneck speed before yanking him violently out of the room!

At the same time, countless chocolate arms suddenly sprouted from the chocolate floor below. They were like death warrants, reaching for Silvanus, trying to drag him down and keep him here.

Slash!

Drake’s blade spun in a wide arc, slicing through the arms reaching for Silvanus, then returned to his hand like a boomerang. By then, Leonard had already caught hold of Silvanus.

Drake quickly slammed the door shut. The group half-ran, half-flew down to the first floor. Chocolate hands spilled out from the door crack, as if still searching for prey, but eventually slunk back in defeat.

It was only the third day, and already the thought of the house completely transforming—while the sunflower field outside waited like a predator—made it clear that there would be nowhere left for humans to hide when that time came.

For now, though, they weren’t thinking about that.

Silvanus felt something brush against his hair.

Looking up, he saw Drake lowering his gaze, fingers brushing through his hair to pluck out a clump of ash.

Drake smirked, his expression taunting. "A passionate night, huh? If you can sleep with Lilith looking like that, you wouldn’t mind sleeping with me."

Silvanus glanced toward Leonard, who stood to the side, head down, biting his lip.

Silvanus: "..." Seriously, what the hell are you people even thinking? And I risked my life to find an escape route for you!

The comment feed wasn’t letting him off either.

[Come on, Drake, do a belly dance and let Silvanus reconsider, hahaha]

[Fuck, can we not? Just imagining that already gives me goosebumps.

[Hahaha, poor Silvanus, he obviously didn’t do anything]

A vein throbbed visibly on Silvanus’s forehead, though his facial expression remained well controlled.

Folding his arms, he stood at ease, tilted his head slightly, and shot Drake a mocking smile. "You? I’m afraid I couldn’t stomach it. Leonard’s more my type."

Leonard’s head snapped up in shock, his dark, gloomy demeanor evaporating instantly, replaced by a blank, almost dazed look.

Clang!

The sound of metal hitting the floor made Silvanus pause for a split second, though outwardly he acted as if nothing had happened.

Turning his head, he saw Silas, Cocona, and Alice standing at the doorway. Silas’s eyes were closed, lips slightly pressed together, looking hesitant. Cocona had her brows faintly raised beside him, wearing a half-smile.

Standing in front of them was Alice. The pen the Prophet had given her had fallen to the floor, and she was covering her mouth with both hands, her eyes wide in disbelief as they shifted between him, Drake, and Leonard—who knows how many scenarios had already flashed through her mind.

Silvanus: "..." This world... end already.
