CHAPTER 245: CHAPTER 245: SEDUCING HIM RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER

Zhan Hanjue and Ningwan took their tickets and headed to the hotel specified above.

However, upon arrival, the lobby manager saw their tickets and silently led them to the elevator.

"Where are we going?" Zhan Hanjue asked.

"You’ll know when you get there," the lobby manager said.

Ningwan and Zhan Hanjue looked at each other and followed him.

Zhan Hanjue wore a pure hand-made Italian suit, which highlighted his noble and refined demeanor.

Ningwan, on the other hand, wore an ivory dress with a tailored fit, exuding elegance and tranquility.

However, the bracelet on her wrist and the sapphire necklace around her neck also signified her wealth.

The combination of these two qualities was unmanageable for others.

Yet, these qualities, when present in her, complemented each other and fit well with her.

Walking together, they were a perfect match, attracting attention and admiration.

Furthermore, a few bodyguards followed them, emphasizing their wealthy status.

While the lobby manager was stern, he still showed great respect towards them.

Once in the elevator, it went straight down to the second basement, where a black business car awaited.

The lobby manager directed them to get into the car.

"Sir, Miss, only the two of you can board. The bodyguards must wait here. The car will bring you back after the auction," the lobby manager explained.

Zhan Hanjue frowned.

Ningwan said, "Understood, but she must come along. She’s not a bodyguard, she’s my sister."

Ningwan pointed at Wangyue.

The lobby manager nodded, not enforcing strict rules, and agreed to their request.

Wangyue hurriedly got into the car.

There was a driver inside, wearing a mask, his face indiscernible.

Once they boarded, the driver started the car and drove out of the underground garage.

The hotel was located in the city center, a relatively well-known hotel.

Yet, upon departure, the car drove westward, out of the city.

Ningwan, though unfamiliar with Tong City, knew that both sides were desolate, indicating they were far from the city.

Moreover, they were traveling at dusk.

The sky grew darker as even the street lights on both sides appeared faint and dim, while looking back, there was no sign of the city’s neon lights. Clearly, they were far from the city.

"What place is this?" Ningwan asked.

She naturally asked Wangyue, given that Zhan Hanjue was also unfamiliar with Tong City.

Wangyue replied in a lowered voice, "I’m also not familiar with this place. It’s dark and hard to see. We might be near Qian Deng Town. Judging by the direction, there are many towns around here, but it’s likely in Qian Deng Town."

The car drove for another half hour before finally stopping.

The driver instructed them to get out, saying someone would come to greet them.

The three of them got out of the car.

The view was barren, with nothing but wasteland.

Auction happening here?

"Miss Ye, do you think there’ll be ghosts?" Wangyue exclaimed in fear, leaning against her.

Ningwan said, "Ghosts aren’t scary; people are. Just wait; someone should be here soon."

The chilly breeze blew by, causing Ningwan to shiver.

Seeing this, Zhan Hanjue hastily took off his coat and draped it over her.

"Don’t catch a cold."

Wangyue said woefully, "I’m cold too."

"Endure it."

Wangyue: "..."

Men are indeed dogs.

Luckily, after a short wait, two people came over.

With flashlights in hand, they shone them on the trio.

Zhan Hanjue immediately extended his arm to shield Ningwan’s eyes.

"Three of you, come with us," the two said.

Ningwan and Zhan Hanjue exchanged a glance and followed the two forward.

They arrived at the front of an ancestral hall.

Their minds questioned how there could be an ancestral hall in such a remote location.

But indeed, it was an ancestral hall.

And it even had a courtyard.

Upon entering, the place was well decorated.

"It seems the Wang Family is quite affluent to build such an ancestral hall," Ningwan said.

Wangyue quietly asked, "Miss Ye, how did you know this ancestral hall belongs to the Wang family?"

"It says ’Wang Ancestral Hall’ above."

Wangyue: "..."

She hadn’t looked up.

The two led them into the ancestral hall and first lit incense.

After lighting the incense, the wall behind the hall moved shortly.

It turned out to be a mechanism, opening the wall into a door.

"Downstairs."

The two said and took them downstairs.

The three followed down the stairs, which were quite long, winding several times before finally reaching the bottom floor.

"Let me see your tickets."

At the bottom floor, there was a person sitting at a desk, responsible for checking the tickets.

Zhan Hanjue handed over the tickets.

The person glanced at them, immediately becoming respectful, standing up and sycophantically saying, "So you’re the Patron, please come in. Quickly, take the Patron to the third floor."

Patron?

Ningwan curiously looked at Zhan Hanjue.

Zhan Hanjue shook his head slightly, also not understanding the implication.

However, ’Patron’ likely means someone very wealthy.

His identity did align with this characterization.

Thus, he entered without any change in his demeanor.

Inside, there was an elevator, saving them from climbing stairs.

A woman dressed in a uniform led them into the elevator.

The woman was exquisitely attractive.

The uniform on her induced a feeling of uniform seduction.

She cast a flirtatious glance at Zhan Hanjue, smiling charmingly, reminding him, "Sir, you’re the Patron here, so you can do anything, including with me."

Ningwan: "..."

Such a clear implication, seducing her man right in front of her, as if she were invisible?

"His standards have always been high, perhaps you should try with someone more qualified—you might stand a chance," Ningwan gracefully replied.

The woman wasn’t angered, looking at her, saying, "Actually, we also have male host services here. Would you like to take a look, Miss?"

Zhan Hanjue: "..."

"Shut up."

Embarrassed, the woman fell silent.

Finally, she led them to the third floor.

Guiding them into a room.

"This is your room. Here, you can ring for anything you need. There are two bells—a service bell and one for bidding on auction items you want. As you’re the Patron, we have dedicated personnel to assist you, feel free to reach out," she explained.

"Leave," Zhan Hanjue sternly said.

The woman nodded slightly and turned to leave.

Wangyue quickly inspected the room, not missing a corner.

"No surveillance," Wangyue said.

Ningwan hadn’t considered this; she appreciated Wangyue’s attention to detail.

Indeed, specially trained, bringing her along was the right choice.

"While coming in, I noticed many rooms identical to ours. It seems there are quite a few Patrons here," Ningwan said.

Zhan Hanjue nodded, "Three floors altogether, meaning there could be many guests."
