"Ningwan, why are you even helping this bastard? You should be helping me. We were childhood sweethearts."

Lin Yuyang looked at Ye Ningwan with Lin Yue, hysterically questioning.

Ye Ningwan chuckled coldly, "Lin Yuyang, have you forgotten Miss Ke’s other testimony? The deaths of my parents are also linked to your mother, aren’t they?"

Lin Yuyang was taken aback and immediately explained, "It must be that woman slandering. The police have already investigated and found no evidence to prove it."

"Indeed, there’s no evidence to prove your mother was the mastermind behind the murder. After all these years, much evidence has been destroyed. However, she did admit it to me herself," Ye Ningwan slowly said.

"Confessed in person? Impossible, my mother would never..."

Lin Yuyang staggered back, leaving the company despondently.

The once-proud heir of the Lin Family is now a stray dog, left with nothing.

Unwilling to accept it, he rushed to the prison for a visit.

Fu Wenfang saw him and asked urgently, "Yuyang, how are you? How is the Lin Group?"

Lin Yuyang looked at her in shock.

In just a few short days, his mother had completely changed.

He even suspected if this was really his mother?

Or was someone impersonating her?

"Are you really my mom?" Lin Yuyang asked.

"I ask you, did you kill Ye Ningwan’s parents?" Lin Yuyang asked.

Fu Wenfang dared not look up, softly saying, "What does it matter to ask this now?"

All the talk about finding her brother was a lie, she was after that bastard all along.

"Yuyang, you must go and take revenge on her, kill that bitch." Fu Wenfang screamed through the glass.

Lin Yuyang stood up, looked at her with disgust, "No wonder father would rather die than be with you. You are disgusting now."

"Lin Yuyang, I’m your mother." Fu Wenfang was stunned for a moment, eyes wide in anger.

Lin Yuyang left without looking back.

Fu Wenfang cried out in rage, "Lin Yuyang, you are just like your father, ungrateful. I’ve sacrificed so much for you both, yet you despise me."

However, Lin Yuyang had already left, unable to hear her curses.

"Madam, Lin Yuyang went to visit the prison, but left immediately after. Here is the conversation between Lin Yuyang and Mrs. Lin in the prison. Please have a look."

Chen Tan came to find Ye Ningwan to report the situation.

Ye Ningwan took the paper, looked at the conversation, and couldn’t help but smirk, "Fu Wenfang is truly vicious, disregarding her own son’s life, still wanting to push him into sacrificing himself to kill me. Where has Lin Yuyang gone?"

"Should we send someone to keep an eye on him?" Chen Tan asked.

Ye Ningwan said, "No need, he has nothing now, just a stray dog, not worth monitoring."

Ye Ningwan took out a mirror, holding it up to her.

Fu Wenfang saw the old, ugly woman in the mirror and was stunned.

Actually, there were mirrors in the prison.

But there was an unwritten rule in the women’s prison to break the mirrors.

Inside, they couldn’t groom or take care of themselves, so why bother looking at their ugly reflection?

It was her first time looking in a mirror in so many days.

No wonder her son was shocked and disgusted seeing her, she had become that ugly.

"Get that mirror away, I don’t want to see it." Fu Wenfang screamed hysterically.

Ye Ningwan put the mirror away, slowly saying, "Your case has been sentenced, I found you the best lawyer. Originally, it was a direct death sentence, but I had the lawyer get you a year-long reprieve. To let you die now wouldn’t do justice to Ke Yingying’s suffering over these years, nor to my parents’ grievances. "Ye Ningwan, even if I become a ghost, I won’t let you go," Fu Wenfang cursed through gritted teeth.
