Being Op With My Broken System: All Limits Have Errors
Chapter 184: Emily is kidnapped?
CHAPTER 184: EMILY IS KIDNAPPED?
Alex, his mother, and the two girls left the shop before Zoran to return home, Zoran wanted to stay for some more before closing up.
They didn’t have any customers today and had just spent the rest of the day familiarising themselves with the price list. As for the person who had entered the shop earlier, it turned out that he wasn’t a customer who was looking to buy something.
He was actually another shop owner whose shop was across the road and had come to look at the new shop that had just opened. He asked a few probing questions before claiming that shop owners should look out for each other.
He told Zoran to come look for him if he ever ran into any trouble or needed anything. His laugh was obviously fake, and his gaze was like a snake’s.
Zoran played along until the man left before returning to what he was doing.
...
Getting home, everyone went to freshen up in their rooms before their mother called them to come help out in the kitchen. He had bought some items earlier on their way, and dinner tonight was going to be special to celebrate the official opening of the shop.
Zoran returned some time later and went to take a quick bath. The table was set before he came down, and they all gathered to eat.
Some time later, everyone went to their rooms to rest for the night.
While lying on his bed, Alex spread out his senses out of habit. His senses instantly covered the entire city and he could sense every cluster of mana.
Of course, the scouting ability of his senses was far inferior to his searching spell so the scope of things he could detect was limited. After not finding anything suspicious, Alex closed his eyes and went to sleep.
Morning came quickly and everyone got ready to start the new day.
Alicia had previously said that she wasn’t interested in going to watch the tournament and Zoran had promised to bring her with him to the shop.
So while Alex, Emily, and their mother left for the stadium, Zoran and Alicia headed for the commercial district to open the shop.
They reached the stadium a couple of minutes later, and Alex separated from them after they entered the stadium. He went to sit in the sitting area of the Dragonic Magic Academy, while the two ladies went to sit amongst the audience.
Soon, the stadium was full and the order list for matches was projected.
No one in the sitting area of the Dragonic Magic Academy was particularly ecstatic about today’s match since their opponents were from the Golden Elements Magic Academy, and the result of such a match was very predictable.
The Dean and the Vice Dean chatted about other matters while the students were just here to watch others struggle, since Alex had already secured their entry into the final round of the tournament.
Regardless, Glen and his teammates still had gloomy looks on their faces; they didn’t feel particularly good that they had been carried by Alex again but they couldn’t help it.
Taking a look at the list that had been projected, the match between Dragonic Magic Academy and Golden Elements Magic Academy was the 10th match for the day which was the second to last match and would be held later in the afternoon.
The projection soon disappeared and the matches started as eight students from two magic academies came up to the arena.
"Begin!"
Hours passed quickly as exciting matches played out, and the stadium was filled with cheers and murmuring as the audience watched on.
Some matches were interesting to watch, some were blood-boiling, while some were just outright shocking.
At one point, Emily told her mother that she wanted to use the bathroom. It was easy for someone to sit through hours of matches without feeling pressed.
Her mom nodded and stood up to accompany her into the inner bowl of the stadium. The mother and daughter pair walked till they reached the restroom area where Emily went inside and her mother waited outside.
(Goodness, tired of using "her mother" in every sentence. Alex’s mother’s name is Freda Zoran, I’ll be using that from now on.)
Some seconds after Emily went in, a man in a black suit and wearing black sunglasses walked up to Freda.
"Mrs Zoran?" He spoke softly as he stopped in front of Freda.
"Yes? Is there a problem?" Freda replied, her face looking confused as she stared at the man.
"No, please come with me for a moment." The man replied and turned around to walk away.
Freda looked even more confused, she didn’t immediately follow him.
"Why? My daughter is here, I’d like to wait for her." She disclosed.
"You don’t have to worry, it won’t take time and you’ll be back in no time. Our mistress just wants a word with you, she said she’s an old friend." That man stated.
Freda looked slightly frowned, after giving it some thought. She decided to follow the man.
They were in a stadium with lots of mages present, what could possibly happen?
Right after the two of them left, more men in black suits and dark sunglasses walked over to the restroom area. In front of them was a young girl with red hair.
She was Laura’s younger sister!
"Let’s go in." She ordered with a stern voice.
"Yes, young miss." One of the men answered before kicking the door open and all of them went in.
"Look for her and bring her here." Laura’s sister ordered once more and the men in black suits immediately went to search the various booths.
Screams of girls and women sounded the next moment as many people ran out while adjusting their dresses. Some seconds later, Emily was dragged out by two men and brought in front of Laura’s sister.
Emily was previously struggling when she saw the girl with similar red hair to hers, her body froze.
"Why are you doing this?" Emily asked, her eyes turning watery instantly.
Pah!
"You should blame your brother, he’s the reason why my sister has been suffering!" Laura’s sister slapped Emily across the face before spitting out those words coldly.
Emily’s eyes trembled as her cheeks throbbed in pain.
"Take her away." Laura’s sister ordered again before walking off.
Emily was about to say something when something suddenly landed on the back of her head and she passed out.
Meanwhile, Freda followed the man in a black suit to a passage in the inner bowl of the stadium where a woman in an exquisite red gown was waiting. The place wasn’t far from the restroom area and it took them just a minute to get there.
"I’ve brought Mrs Zoran, ma’am." The man announced after seeing the woman.
"Oh, hello, my old friend," the woman in a red dress said in an excited tone as she slowly turned around to face the two, since she was facing the other direction previously.
Freda looked to see who this person was. Was she really an old friend?
However, when the woman finally turned around, both of them stared at each other with blank faces.
Freda "..."
She didn’t know this woman.
"Oh my, I seem to have mistaken you for someone else. I sincerely apologise." The woman in a red dress said with an embarrassed laugh and bowed to Freda.
"Oh, it’s fine. People make such mistakes, just be careful next time." Freda waved her hands while giggling. She wasn’t angry since the other party had apologised.
She didn’t stay around any longer and immediately returned to the restroom area to continue waiting for Emily.
