Tawid roared out in laughter, his voice booming within the small room, almost causing it to shake, his tail whipping around behind him from the half elf’s sheer arrogance. “I see! You are the grandson of the Mad Dog and Flame Brand, so you can speak so heavily!”
“It’s not that,” Adam said, raising his brows. “Though, that is also a part of it.”
“Then what is it?”
“I’m a little strong.”
“How strong is a little strong?” Tawid asked, leaning in slightly, his lips still forming a wide smile.
“How strong are you?” Adam asked.
“I am a Grandmaster.”
“If you were to fight…” Adam paused, wondering whose name he could use without sounding disrespectful, though almost every name he wanted to use sounded too ridiculous. “I think if we were to fight ten times, I would defeat you more than not.”
“Are you a Grandmaster?”
“No, but I’ve fought so many, and I’ve defeated most of them,” Adam admitted.
“I am no ordinary Grandmaster.”
“Then…” Adam leaned in towards Dunes, holding the Priest’s gaze, which was full of exhaustion already. “Am I allowed to show him how strong I am?”
Dunes sighed, glancing aside towards the half elf, only to see the seriousness within Adam’s eyes. “You may, if you wish.”
“Is it a good idea?”
“No.”
Adam frowned, leaning back in his chair, rubbing his chin. He eyed up the half dragon, whose eyes were full of curiosity. “What if I win, but I make it close?”
“That may be more acceptable.”
“Kal Tawid, are you considered a great warrior within the capital?” Adam asked.
“I hope so!” Tawid replied, his brows raising in surprise. “If I, a Grandmaster, cannot be considered a great warrior, then there would be only ten great warriors within the capital.”
“Then, if I was to defeat you, would you allow me to use your name as an example of a warrior I have defeated?” Adam asked, leaning in slightly towards the half dragon, who burst out in laughter once more.
“You are so fortunate you are so young, for I will consider it a young man’s folly.”
“Kal Tawid, I wish to give you an opportunity,” Adam said, reaching up to his neck, rubbing it gently. “Our nascent business still doesn’t hold much of a name. It would be nice for us if we had a partnership with a business in Aswadasad, if I end up offending the royal family, and it would be good for you to know who I am.”
“It is the responsibility of your elders to teach you some manners,” the half dragon joked, standing up. “Since you are so eager to fight, I will fight you. You do not have to worry, Kal Uli, I shall not bully him too much.”
“Thank you,” Uli replied.
Tawid’s smile remained, though his eyes focused upon the hazel eyes he saw through the silver lion’s face, the golden trim. The tone of voice the Black Lion had used was…
Tawid’s eyes then darted towards the half elf, who stood with a purpose, but the young man did not seem worried in the slightest, his thoughts upon another matter entirely. The way the half elf spoke, the way he stood, the way he walked, it was all as though he thought he could truly defeat the likes of Kal Tawid, the Silver Drake of the Mountain?
They stood within one of the gardens within the greater complex, Adam only realising that the business complex was but a fifth of the entirety of the true complex.
“These guys have more land outside the capital?” Adam whispered in shock at Dunes’ words, for the half elf had already been impressed by the fact that their entire business was already larger than some of the temples he had visited. “That’s crazy!”
‘What is it?’ Tawid thought, taking off his cuirass, reaching down to unsheath his blade within the middle of the garden. The floral scent all around calming his body and his heart, but he could not enter into the meditative state he typically entered when he fought the likes of Experts. ‘He is not even half my age…’
Adam stood opposite the figure who had removed his armour, for the half elf hadn’t brought his own, but he was certain that, even without his armour, he would be able to defeat the half dragon, though that wasn’t the point. For though one of Adam’s greatest strengths was the great Defence he possessed, there was something else which could be considered greater.
“Are you ready, young man?” Tawid asked, a pair of guards eyeing up the silver blade which gleamed under the noonval sun.
Adam held out Seventh Sky towards the half dragon, bowing his head. “I am.”
Tawid wondered if the half elf’s words were meant to shake him, but his heart remained resolved.
“You may begin,” Uli called, refereeing the match for the pair.

D20 + 1 = 5 (4)
Tawid inhaled sharply, turning his blade to the side, willing his blade to life, which glowed a gentle blue, praying out towards the air, his silver amulet gleaming brightly as he called forth his magic, his entire body tingling as he felt the protection of the Divine.
“Come,” Tawid ushered forward, not realising he had fallen too deep into thought, for why did he need to empower his blade when the half elf did not wear his armour? Perhaps, if the half elf had worn his armour, he would be one of the few in Aswadasd who could dare to threaten the half elf, but without his armour, the half elf was easier to hit, even without his shield.
“Alright,” Adam replied, wondering how the half dragon had empowered his blade.

It was when Adam stepped forward, Tawid understood. As Adam’s axe raised to strike him, the half dragon brought his blade up to meet the young half elf’s axe, Tawid understood. As Adam continued to step forward, the ringing of magical steel filling the air, Tawid understood. As Tawid stood, his arms throbbing wildly, his heart thundering in his chest, Tawid understood. As their eyes met, and the half elf smiled politely, Tawid understood.
“I thank you for your mercy,” Adam said, for he understood.
Tawid remained silent for a long moment, his eyes trailing towards Uli, who stood tall, but the pair knew, for though Uli was indeed strong, Kal Tawid was more powerful. The sight before them did not surprise Uli, that much Tawid knew, that much he understood, meaning Adam was neither protected nor threatened by Uli’s sword.

‘Did you split it three ways?’
[Two.]
‘Oh? Why is it so low?’
[He was also not fighting at his strongest.]
‘Ah! Thank you.’
[You are welcome.]
Adam waited for Bell to berate him, but when it didn’t, he smiled to himself. He then returned back to the world, noting Tawid’s racing thoughts upon his face, as well as the tension within the nearby guards.
“Oh? You guys haven’t heard of me?” Adam asked. “I’m the Crazy Father, the one who killed the Vice Commander of the Order of the Thousand Hunts last year. I suppose it makes sense, since the Reavers are a much bigger deal.”
“The…” Tawid began, trying to recall what Adam was talking about, but only vaguely recalling hearing of something. “I heard there was some trouble last year.”
“Ah? Should I tell you the tale?” Adam asked, laughing awkwardly. “I suppose I should have told you who I was and my story, but I suppose it’s not as impressive as being my grandparents’ grandchild.”
‘Is he a dragon in disguise?’ Tawid thought, which was a thought many others may have had of him before they knew who he was.
Dunes could see the confusion and stress upon Tawid’s face. The young Priest blinked, his eyes falling towards the sky, away from the sun, looking at the vast expanse of blue. It was at times like this he understood just how ridiculous the half elf was, for he could count upon one hand the likes of people who could defeat the liked of Kal Tawid so soundly and speak so casually to him. He had already seen the half elf go from ridiculous feat to ridiculous feat, even defeating the likes of Isam of all people.
“I should pay you more, since I’m taking so many years off your life,” Adam joked, noting the exhaustion upon the Priest’s face.
“I thought to stop you, but you defeated him to buy your wife uthur, and for that, I could not speak up.”
“It’s not that frivolous of a reason…”
“For you, it is not,” Dunes agreed, chuckling lightly.
‘Did he say he was the Crazy Husband?’ Tawid thought.

Have you ever wanted to read a story like this but instead of Adam having god like stats and being extremely cringe, he actually had terrible stats and wasn't cringe instead?
No?
Oh...
Never mind then.
