CHAPTER 149: CHAPTER 144 YOUR RELATIVES ARE MY RELATIVES (SECOND UPDATE)

"Watch out for your leg, and your relatives too!" Tong Airui reminded her with displeasure.

"Why are you always so concerned about my relatives!" Yi Luowa pouted.

"Your relatives are my relatives, hahaha..." Tong Airui laughed as he ruffled her hair. "Let’s go quickly. If we run into traffic, we’ll be late to pick them up."

"Alright." Yi Luowa raised her hand to straighten his collar and then pulled his hand as they walked out the door. "If you feel sick after accompanying me, just head back home to rest and don’t push yourself too hard."

"I’m fine now."

"Do you think Huo Li will recognize you?"

"Even you didn’t recognize me, so she probably won’t. If she doesn’t recognize me, don’t bring up that embarrassing incident again."

"Haha, I don’t think it’s embarrassing. The three of us actually teamed up to do something good." Yi Luowa laughed as they walked into the elevator. "Back then, I only saw the car you were driving but couldn’t see your face. She had some close contact with you, but it’s been so many years, and I haven’t heard Huo Li mention it again, so I guess she’s forgotten about you."

"It’s best if she forgot." Tong Airui curved his lips into a faint smile. "You sure are naughty!"

Yi Luowa grinned mischievously, "I’m never really a good person anyway."

Tong Airui gave her an amused glance. "Do you still like me without my uniform on?"

Yi Luowa smiled mysteriously, "Huo Li and I are both into uniforms. I can’t let her see you in uniform, or if she tries to steal you from me, we’re done for."

Tong Airui laughed as he pulled her into his arms. "I belong to you—no one can take me away."

"Haha, I’m just teasing you! When we’re out and about, wearing a uniform would be inconvenient."

"I’ve noticed you’re becoming more and more considerate of me these days."

"You’re mine. If I don’t care for you, who will?" Yi Luowa said, hooking his chin with her index finger. "Since you’re my man now, come on, give me a smile."

Tong Airui bent down and playfully bit her slender finger that was as pale as spring onions. "If you want me to smile for you, you better pay the price first."

Yi Luowa pulled her hand back quickly, exclaiming, "Oh no, the mad dog is biting again!"

Tong Airui laughed as he grabbed her hand and gently massaged it.

Soon enough, they stepped out of the elevator. Outside, Yi Luowa saw Yuan Hang exiting a Maybach and looked towards Tong Airui worriedly. "Are you okay riding in this car?"

"I can manage it. Don’t treat me like a patient," Tong Airui whispered in her ear. "If it wasn’t for wanting to leave you with a beautiful memory, I could turn you into my woman anytime, anywhere right now."

Yi Luowa glanced at the bustling entrance and discreetly pinched the back of his hand.

Tong Airui gasped in pain, "I’ll let Uncle know later that you pinched me."

"You’re always tattling. Let me tell you the truth—you know, I’m not scared of Uncle at all. I’ve just been pretending these past few days!" Yi Luowa said as she climbed into the car first, scooted over, and then looked up at Tong Airui standing outside. "Be careful getting in."

Tong Airui got in without much difficulty. "I’ve told you, stop treating me like a patient. You saw how easily I got into the car like nothing’s wrong."

"Fine, if you say you’re okay, then you’re okay." Yi Luowa pouted. "It’s not like I’m the one feeling the pain anyway."

Tong Airui chuckled and patted her hand. "You’re really not scared of Uncle?"

Yi Luowa nodded firmly.

"Alright then, I’ll take it as you being filial. You’ve been accommodating him these days because of his illness."

"Of course!"

Yuan Hang glanced at them through the rearview mirror and smiled as he started the engine.

As the car took off, a line of more than ten cars followed behind them. Yi Luowa turned to look out the window and laughed. "This kind of procession is probably going to scare that big pig to death!"

"Once we pick them up, I’ll have the cars disperse. I’ve already booked a meal at the hotel—F cuisine. Does that sound alright to you?"

"Sounds perfect. Let them settle in first, and then we can treat them to Z cuisine. But when did you place the order? How come I didn’t know about it?"

"When you were changing clothes," Tong Airui said, stretching his long legs with some difficulty. That’s one of the "perks" of being tall—there’s rarely enough legroom in cars.

Yi Luowa scooted closer to his side and gave his leg a sympathetic pat. "Move your leg over toward me."

"It’s fine."

"Are all your cars like this?" Yi Luowa glanced around the interior. For most people, the space was more than adequate, but it seemed cramped for Tong Airui; driving was okay, but sitting as a passenger appeared less comfortable.

"My cars back in Xiawu have bigger spaces than this."

"How about I design a few cars specifically tailored for you to sit in comfortably?" Yi Luowa frowned slightly. "If you’re struggling like this, then Uncle and Tong Aino probably aren’t faring any better. If I’m going to design, I might as well make multiple cars for all of you so you can ride comfortably."

"No need to go to such trouble. The cars over there are all super spacious."

"I’ll decide after I see them." Yi Luowa thought to herself that as a car designer, if her own family couldn’t have comfortable cars, then what was the point of studying this field?

Family! Yi Luowa suddenly realized she’d already begun to regard Tong Airui’s family as her own. Her cheeks flushed slightly as she turned her gaze to the window.
