CHAPTER 152: CHAPTER 147 - BIG SISTER WANTS TO LIVE A FEW MORE YEARS! (FIRST UPDATE)
Yi Luowa pulled Huo Li, and Huo Li glared at the man in the driver’s seat, shouting, "What are you looking at? Just focus on driving! I still want to live a few more years!"
The man took a deep breath, turned his head away, and stared straight ahead.
Huo Li saw that he had turned away, but the person in the passenger seat was still staring at her. She raised her hand and slapped the side of his head. "Haven’t you ever seen a beauty before? Careful, I’ll gouge out your eyes and use them as marbles!"
Yi Luowa quickly pulled her hand away. "Are you crazy?!"
"I’m really pissed off! I just got here, and you’ve already told me so much depressing stuff. You have to at least let me vent a little, right?"
"If you need a punching bag, come at me. Don’t take it out on Fourth Brother’s people." Yi Luowa rubbed her temples. "But before you go nuts, let me tell you something—I’m doing very well now, and I’ll continue to do great. All the bad luck from before has been completely driven away. And I owe it all to Fourth Brother."
"Have you never seen a man in your life or what?! You’ve mentioned him several times already, and I’m the one sitting with you right now!"
"If you were a man, I’d mention you eight hundred times!" Yi Luowa grabbed her by the neck as she spoke. "If you keep losing your temper, I’ll kill you!"
"Come on, then! Anyone who doesn’t kill me is a pig!" Huo Li stretched out her neck, waiting for death.
Yi Luowa shook her by the neck twice before angrily letting go. "Don’t be mad anymore. I’m not dead, I’m not crippled, and the people who hurt me are about to face their retribution. You should be happy for me."
"But you’re not going back to F Country. How am I supposed to be happy about that?"
"Love has no borders, and neither does friendship. I’ll visit you often, and you can come to Summer Wu to hang out with me. I heard from my Second Uncle that our home in Summer Wu is a manor. It sounds pretty nice, doesn’t it? Don’t you want to check it out?"
Huo Li snorted. "Not interested!"
Yi Luowa wrapped an arm around her shoulders and swayed back and forth. "My dear little piggy, don’t be like this, okay? You’re making me feel upset. I’ll find some time to tell you about what happened to me these past days, and then you’ll understand why my Second Uncle and I left F Country."
Huo Li gave her a sidelong glance. "Tell me tonight. If you don’t, I’ll feel so pent up I might explode."
"Okay, tonight I’ll stay at the hotel with you and tell you everything." Yi Luowa gave her a loud smack of a kiss and smiled. "No more sulking now, okay?"
In the car with Huo Li, the laughter and chatter quickly resumed, but in Tong Airui’s vehicle, it was a different story—utter silence. Tong Airui leaned back in the passenger seat with his eyes closed, uninterested in sharing the back seat with Justin.
Justin was gazing thoughtfully out the window. This man didn’t seem ordinary at all. Especially the moment Tong Airui removed his mask after getting in the car, that natural-born air of authority stirred something within him.
"Mr. Justin, I heard that you’re classmates with our young madam. Are you about to graduate?" Yuan Hang broke the silence inside the car.
"I just graduated this year." Justin smiled politely but distantly. He didn’t like the term "young madam."
"Have you thought about where you’re headed next?" Yuan Hang noticed he could understand Mandarin and kept the conversation going.
"My family has a business. I’ll be going back to manage it after graduation."
"What kind of business is your family in? Maybe we’ll have a chance to collaborate in the future."
Justin glanced at the silent Tong Airui. A businessman? But why did he emanate such an oppressive aura of lethality at all times?
"Import and export trade. May I ask, what kind of business does Mr. Tong’s family do?"
"Our young master does the business of killing," Yuan Hang said with a grin. "So unless necessary, avoid doing business with him."
The corners of Tong Airui’s lips curled slightly as he rested with his eyes closed. "Don’t scare Mr. Justin."
"Haha... From the looks of it, Mr. Justin is a bold and skilled man; he wouldn’t scare so easily." Yuan Hang laughed as he turned on the hazard lights.
The moment he turned on the lights, the dozen or so vehicles trailing behind them also switched on their blinkers.
Justin glanced at the suddenly illuminated convoy, his eyes narrowing slightly. He said nothing. It was clear they were putting on a display of power, but he pretended not to notice.
Justin stayed silent, but Huo Li, riding in the car behind, couldn’t hold back. "Piggy, is this guy you’re hanging out with in the car business too?"
Yi Luowa burst out laughing. "What makes you think Fourth Brother is in the car business?"
Huo Li rolled her eyes. "If he’s not in the car business, then why are there so many cars trailing us? To show off? Intimidate me? You think I’ve never seen the world? I’ve been to plenty of races and car shows with you. I’ve seen all kinds of luxury cars!"
"Mhm, mhm, you’re right. He’s totally in the car business. Maybe he’s just trying to advertise." Yi Luowa nodded vigorously, trying to suppress her laughter.
Huo Li shot her an annoyed glare. "Idiot! How did I ever end up calling you my boss?!"
"Fools always love calling others fools." Yi Luowa smirked and gave her a playful shove. "We’re about to reach the hotel. Behave yourself and stop nitpicking; if you piss me off, I’ll push you off the top floor of the Royal Hotel!"
"You heartless thing! Got a man and forgot all about me!" Huo Li puffed up her cheeks and lunged at Yi Luowa.
Before her hand could even reach Yi Luowa, a large hand extended toward her.
