CHAPTER 156: CHAPTER 151: IS YOUR FOURTH BROTHER PRETENDING TO BE MELANCHOLIC? (FIRST UPDATE)

Justin froze for a moment, "What kind of BT organization?"

Tong Airui gazed deeply at him, "My people caught two of BT organization’s minions. Weren’t they sent by you?"

"I truly don’t know. I asked a friend for help."

"They didn’t manage to gather any intel before getting caught. Tong Airui chuckled, "Should I return them to you or make them disappear for good?"

Justin raised a hand slightly, "Hold on a moment, let me check with my friend to see if he sent them."

Tong Airui watched him walk towards the balcony, the corner of his lips curling into a cryptic smile.

After finishing his call, Justin returned swiftly, "So, you’re Airui Aldrich of Xiawu?"

Tong Airui nodded slightly.

Justin stayed silent for several seconds before speaking, "My friend said he sent them. Could I trouble you to release them? They mean no harm..."

Tong Airui arched an eyebrow, "You probably know better than me what BT organization is all about. You’d best avoid contact with them. I’ll release them for the sake of your friendship with Luowa, but the timing will depend on my mood."

Justin furrowed his brows slightly, "Since you know who they are, it’s best not to provoke them to avoid unnecessary trouble."

"Now that you know who I am, do you think I’d be afraid of BT people?" Tong Airui chuckled, "Just drink your wine!"

After sitting back on the couch, Tong Airui didn’t speak further, quietly scrolling through news on his phone.

Justin sipped red wine one mouthful after another. The man sitting on the sofa was the illustrious Airui Aldrich of Xiawu. No wonder he carried an innate aura of authority.

Both men were lost in their thoughts, ignoring each other. The hall stayed quiet for almost ten minutes before Huo Li’s wailing erupted from the bedroom.

Tong Airui and Justin were both startled and rushed towards the bedroom in unison.

"What happened?" Tong Airui kicked the door open.

Huo Li was clutching Yi Luowa, sobbing uncontrollably. When she saw the two men enter, she shouted at Tong Airui, "Luowa has suffered so much, why aren’t you avenging her?"

"He’s been helping me all along!" Yi Luowa picked up a tissue and wiped her tears.

"If he’d really been helping you, would you be suffering like this?"

Tong Airui stepped forward, "It was my fault. I couldn’t meet Luowa earlier to protect her from harm, but since the day we met, I’ve made up my mind to ensure she lives a life free of worries."

"Men always talk big, but once they get what they want, they’re no longer the same!" Huo Li sprang to her feet. "How do you plan to deal with those two wretches who dared to use Luowa’s name?"

"I’ve already made arrangements. It will end how Luowa wants it to end," Tong Airui frowned slightly. "Luowa’s mood has just started to improve, but you crying and causing a scene will only upset her again. Here’s the plan: we’re all tired today, let’s head back and discuss everything tomorrow."

Huo Li grabbed Yi Luowa’s hand, "You promised you’d keep me company tonight."

Before Yi Luowa could speak, Tong Airui cut in coldly, "You should know Luowa is still recovering, and her uncle is in the hospital too. For her to leave him alone here isn’t reasonable."

"Then I’ll go with you to the hospital." Huo Li, like a child, clung to Yi Luowa, unwilling to let her go.

Yi Luowa patted her head, "Alright, pack up and come with me."

Tong Airui wasn’t thrilled but kept his displeasure from showing too much, "You won’t need to take much with you. You’ll be coming back here tomorrow, the hospital’s environment isn’t as comfortable as this place."

"Then I’ll just bring myself!" Huo Li grabbed a tissue, wiping her face haphazardly, then turned to Justin and said, "Senior, this big house is all yours. I’m leaving with Luowa now, bye!"

Justin responded with a soft "Hmm," stepping aside to make way, "Which hospital are you going to? I’ll visit her uncle tomorrow."

"No need. Tomorrow I’ll have someone take you and Ms. Huo Li out for some fun, just wait at the hotel." Tong Airui said as he took Yi Luowa’s hand, walking out of the room first.

Yi Luowa waved goodbye to Justin, "See you, senior."

"See you." Justin smiled gently, watching the three of them leave.

Huo Li followed them to the hospital and seemed happy, but Tong Airui wasn’t. Her presence meant spending the night separated from Luowa. He had just gotten used to holding her close, and now there’d be no one to hold tonight. How could he feel content?

After visiting the uncle, Huo Li and Yi Luowa walked out and saw Tong Airui standing in the corridor, staring forlornly into space.

Huo Li tugged on Yi Luowa’s hand, "Your fourth brother is trying to play the melancholy card, huh?"

Yi Luowa’s lips twitched slightly as she walked briskly over to Tong Airui.

Tong Airui broke from his reverie, lowering his gaze to look at her.

"What are you doing?" Yi Luowa asked with a playful smile.

"Thinking. But no matter how much I think, I still can’t figure it out." Tong Airui sighed. "You two go rest. I’ll stay here and think a bit more."

"Stop being silly." Yi Luowa grabbed his hand and firmly pushed him into his hospital room.
