CHAPTER 175: CHAPTER 170: TAKE THE WOMAN TO THE OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY HOSPITAL! (SECOND UPDATE)

Yi Luowa’s lips twitched slightly—could she say she minded? But having this photo being stared at every day, it was just so embarrassing.

"Auntie, you should pick up the call first."

Tong Yao smiled and answered the call, "Mr. Prime Minister, what orders do you have for me?"

On the other end of the line, Long Che burst out laughing, "In such a good mood, huh?"

Tong Yao chuckled, "Yep, my daughter-in-law and Connie are here. How could I not be happy?"

Long Che said with a laugh, "Several heads of state came. Ziye insisted I stay and have lunch with them, so I won’t be coming home for lunch today. You take good care of them."

"Perfect, you’d only scare the kids if you came back anyway."

Long Che snorted in discontent, "I don’t have a murder blade hanging over my head! Ziye specifically asked for You Jia to come. Have that kid come over!"

Tong Yao pursed her lips, "What do you mean, ’that kid’? He’s your son-in-law!"

"Damn son-in-law!"

Tong Yao quickly covered the phone and looked at You Jia. "Your Uncle Che said the Prime Minister wants you to go over."

You Jia nodded politely. "I’ll head over now. Is Cousin Monica with Uncle Che?"

"Yes, the two of them left together." Tong Yao uncovered her phone, "You Jia will head over right away. Hanging up now!"

Tong Yao ended the call quickly, mainly out of fear Long Che might say more unpleasant things.

After sending off You Jia, Yi Luowa started obsessing about Tong Yao’s phone. Just imagine—a mother-in-law’s phone wallpaper is her son and his wife kissing. Who could handle that?

"Auntie, when Tong Airui gets back, the two of us can take a good photo for you to use as your wallpaper. How about it?"

Tong Yao shot her a glance and said sternly, "No!"

Yi Luowa pouted, "Can you at least make sure others don’t see your phone?"

Tong Yao suppressed a laugh and nodded. "That I can promise you. Besides your uncle, no one else sees my phone."

Tong Airui’s dad saw it too!

Yi Luowa weakly leaned against Tong Yao’s shoulder, "I’m doomed~"

Everyone burst out laughing.

Connie looked at Yi Luowa with envy. She wasn’t speaking about how wonderful Yi Luowa was—just the fact that she dared to let loose like that was something she herself couldn’t do.

"I’ll give you some hope." Tong Yao smiled and patted Yi Luowa on the arm. "You guys go have fun. I’ll go prepare some food for you."

"I’ll go with you." Yi Luowa stood up with a smile. "Everybody loves your cooking, so I have to learn a thing or two."

Tong Aino rolled her eyes, "Don’t use ’everybody’ as your cover. You just want to cook for my brother."

Yi Luowa snorted haughtily, "Once I learn, I won’t share any of my delicious food with you!"

"If you don’t share, I’ll steal some!" Tong Aino got up with a grin. "You go learn your cooking. I’m heading to the study."

Yi Luowa glanced at Connie before turning to Tong Aino and asked, "You just got back. Aren’t you resting a bit?"

"Uncle will be heading back to Xiawu with you all. I need to get familiar with the work here as quickly as possible."

Tong Yao glanced at her son. "Your dad and uncle said that the focus will shift to Xiawu and this place will simply be a branch office. Familiarizing yourself sooner will make it easier when you take over after returning to Xiawu."

Tong Aino froze. The headquarters was moving back to Xiawu? Why hadn’t anyone told him?

"Is it just Zhuoyuan Group moving back to Xiawu?"

Tong Yao shook her head. "Wanzhou Film is moving back too. Your dad and uncle said, ’The daughters are married far away; the sons shouldn’t be roaming outside anymore.’"

Tong Aino raised an eyebrow slightly. He had been glad no one would be around to control him anymore, but now it looked like the shackles were coming back.

"Feeling stifled?" Tong Yao asked with a laugh.

"Wouldn’t dare!" Tong Aino hugged his mom’s shoulders and laughed.

Connie stole a glance at him and quickly looked away.

Seeing her unease, Yi Luowa felt a twinge of discomfort. "Connie, are you coming with us?"

Connie smiled and nodded. "Sure!"

Yi Luowa saw her stand up and regretfully stuck her tongue out. "Uh... forgot about your identity. The kitchen might not quite suit you."

Connie laughed. "I occasionally cook too. Though I’m not great at it, I can make small pastries just fine. Even if I carry the title of princess, I’m still just a normal person."

Yi Luowa laughed and grabbed Connie’s hand, "Then come join us! Let’s make good food—and not let Tong Aino eat any!"

Connie glanced over at Tong Aino.

Tong Aino snorted expressionlessly, but his tone was directed at Yi Luowa. She didn’t seem bothered, but Connie lowered her gaze in discomfort.

Yi Luowa shot Tong Aino a disgruntled look and mouthed, "Could you be any more annoying?"

"Totally!" Tong Aino grinned.

Tong Yao chuckled and gave her son a light smack.

Yi Luowa shook Connie’s hand and laughed, "Don’t worry about him. We have people to stand up for us."

Connie’s lips curved slightly, and when she saw Tong Aino rubbing his arm, her eyes showed a hint of concern.

Noticing her expression, Tong Aino frowned slightly before turning into the study.

"Don’t mind him. He’s been so ridiculously proud lately. Only Mom, Dad, and my brother can keep him in check." Teng Ai Ni chuckled, "These days, my Fifth Brother fears one more person—that’s my Fourth Sister-in-Law. Connie, if my Fifth Brother bullies you in the future, just tell my Fourth Sister-in-Law to handle him."

"Actually, Fifth Brother is a good person." Connie smiled, her cheeks dimpling delicately, which caught Yi Luowa’s gaze in a distracted moment. She just didn’t understand—how could such a beautiful girl fail to catch Tong Aino’s interest?

The group joked and laughed their way into the kitchen. Tong Yao began preparing ingredients while explaining to them. Before a single dish was finished, Yan Zi and Mi Xiaotian rushed in, carrying Duoduo.

"Tiny Raindrop, you take care of Duoduo for a bit. Your uncle and I have to go out."

"Auntie, what’s going on?" Tiny Raindrop ran out of the kitchen and took Duoduo from them.

Yan Zi’s face looked grim. "Something came up with Shuoshuo. I need to go check."

"What happened?" Tong Yao asked as she walked out.

"Some tabloid gossip. This time, though, it’s blown up—he was photographed by paparazzi taking an unknown D-list star to an OBGYN." Yan Zi was fuming and nearly out of breath. "That stupid brat is getting harder and harder to manage."

"Shuoshuo isn’t that kind of kid. You should go and find out what’s going on first before blaming him in public." Tong Yao said as she glanced at Mi Xiaotian. "Keep an eye on her. Make sure she keeps her cool."

"Alright, no worries, Sister-in-Law. We’ll check it out and come back soon." Mi Xiaotian supported Yan Zi as they headed out the door.

Tong Yao felt uneasy, so she picked up her phone and called Baili Bi. Only after everything was arranged did she return to the kitchen.

Just a short while later, Tong Airui arrived back. Hearing the laughter coming from the kitchen, he hurried over.

"Ai Ni, this is delicious. You try it too." Yi Luowa was holding Duoduo in one arm and pointing to a plate of pastries on the table with a small fork. "I didn’t expect Connie’s skills to be so good!"

"If it’s delicious, eat less of it. Don’t ruin your appetite for lunch later." Tong Airui walked in wearing his crisp military uniform, striding confidently.
