Tong Airui smiled and walked out shoulder-to-shoulder with his father-in-law.

The Empress noticed their little interaction and laughed as she picked up her grandson. "Let’s leave Grandpa to return alone. In the meantime, Grandma will stay here to play with you and your sister."

Long Che blinked in surprise. Wasn’t it agreed that this couple was going back together?

Tong Airui chuckled and spoke up. "I have good news I haven’t had the chance to share with everyone. My seventh aunt is about to finish the antidote for Danton’s poison. My mother-in-law plans to stay here with Danton for a few more days, and once he’s well, she’ll go back."

As he stepped out, Long Che stepped in. The two nearly bumped into each other.

Long Che glanced at his son-in-law and said in a deep tone, "Your in-laws are about to leave. You and Yi Luowa should come out to see them off."
