CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 6: CLOCKWORK NIRVANA - MIRROR DOMAIN_2
Daisy turned her head curiously to glance at Shawn, then she grinned.
A pair of cold vertical pupils appeared.
Fine hair and long whiskers grew on Daisy’s delicate little face, and her hands, only half the size of Shawn’s, suddenly expanded into sharp feline claws, strikingly mismatched with her petite figure. Her feet transformed into thick, furry pads, ears perked up, and her petite silhouette slightly hunched. She retained a near-human outline, but more than half of her body had turned into a feline beast form.
She indeed was a Transformer.
At this moment, Daisy looked like a humanoid feline, brimming with top-level predator’s pressure from head to toe, except for the tail being absent.
"Help!"
A young man dressed like a private detective shuddered in fear, instantly swerving a corner and agilely sliding under the market table, not daring to approach Shawn’s side.
There were at least dozens of bizarre creatures here.
They seemed to be summoned by a ritual.
Behind Shawn appeared a lizard-like uncontrolled individual, with muddled dark yellow eyes full of bloodthirsty madness. It leapt down from the third floor, pouncing towards a group of people.
——Malicious Transformation Technique (5 rings).
Gemma, who had seemed to suddenly vanish before, reappeared, the ferocious figure that leapt from the third floor twisted wildly in midair. Its bones compressed inward, emitting a heartbreaking howl, blood and flesh squirming grotesquely. Its life form seemed to be reshaped by some kind of law, and in the instant it landed, a slender lizard with three eyes surfaced.
The uncontrolled individual was directly transformed into a deformed lizard about twenty centimeters long.
One move secures, forcibly controls.
The Wizard Path’s Malicious Transformation Technique causes permanent transformation; unless someone undoes the spell, one remains a small animal for life.
"Invisibility?"
Shawn seemed to be inspired, his figure vanished on the spot, leaving only two suspended handguns firing. Among the five bullets, one headshot hit the lizard, accompanied by the twisting flesh writhing, the dead lizard reverted back to a bizarre hunched humanoid form.
Invisible Hand itself is invisible; he first used Invisible Hand to manipulate firearms, creating some distance from himself, then enveloped himself with Invisibility Skill, shooting directly without eliminating his invisible state.
As long as he doesn’t fire himself, maintaining the invisible curtain effect will remain constant.
In others’ eyes, only two floating handguns could be seen firing, while Shawn could only deduce his position through water stains on the ground.
Of course, there were exceptions; Daisy’s gaze was constantly locked onto Shawn’s position.
She seemed not to be looking with her eyes but sensing with feeling.
Gemma’s figure disappeared again.
On this small battlefield, only two conspicuous figures remained, Daisy and William, both of whom followed the Casting Path and had become invisible.
Shawn took a step back, silently shielding Invisible Servant before him.
In this scenario, it could block a strike at least.
.........
Under the eaves nearby.
A strange black cat hung on the vertical wall, its body extremely slender, about 1.5 meters long, yet only less than fifteen centimeters in diameter. The black cat’s claws had transformed into sharp hooks, nailed into the wall’s cracks. It crawled slowly along the wall’s shadow. After seeing Shawn and Gemma’s figures disappear, a trace of vigilance surfaced in its face, the dark yellow vertical pupils gradually shifted, becoming eerily blood-red.
——Mimic Monster [Flesh Mutation].
A special Evil Object from the Bizarre Realm, with the Talent Ability of transformation. It’s said that every bone in its body can be disassembled for activity, its flesh is wriggling black slime, and inside, there are no organs. Exceptionally adept at camouflage transformation, it can mimic most creatures it has seen, so long as the range does not exceed medium-sized.
This Evil Object contains many core materials for Transcendent advancement through the transformation path.
The Mimic Monster is a dangerous and cunning hunter, extremely ferocious. After killing prey, it devours them entirely, then disguises as a rock, a stump, or a bush, slowly digesting them bit by bit. If infiltrated into human society, it would disguise as a family member, gradually eating others one by one.
Victims can only sense anomalies in family members, who won’t simultaneously appear but will instead appear one by one until the Mimic Monster finishes the last person.
Very obviously.
The Mimic Monster felt a bit uneasy now because two Casting Path creatures had already turned invisible before it.
In the eyes of an Evil Object, Transcendents are all monsters disguised as humans.
In the instant its figure left the shadow, the Mimic Monster’s skin color gradually changed, soon becoming the exact same as the surrounding wall, only its eerily reddish eyes remained strikingly visible. Its body also grew thinner, squirming bit by bit towards the alley below.
After a short while.
The Mimic Monster’s figure vanished into the crevices between houses, followed by changes in the ground’s reflection, like a boiling slime. First, the head of a human wearing a hat emerged, then a tall suit, and finally a fully standing adult. It broke off its own tail, transforming it into a black umbrella in its hand.
.........
The revolver’s bullets were too few.
