Chapter 210: Third Round Of Group Performance

"Good evening, everyone!" Jiang Su stood in the middle of the stage and welcomed the audience inside the small arena. "Are you guys ready?!"

The whole arena went dark for a moment before dim lights appeared on the stage. The floor slowly split into two and slowly, fifteen young men in different standing positions appeared on the stage.

"Woohhh!!!" The lights on the audience’s bracelets lit up and they quickly cheered for the first group.

Fifteen young men on stage were wearing black coats with wide hoods. Their make up tonight has a bit of mystery and darkness. Black veins seem to be on their skin as it shows from different positions on their bodies. Some have on their neck, cheeks, hands, arms and other parts that can be seen. In addition, the trainees also wore black eyeliners that made their skin paler. They look more lean but exude a cold temperament that seems as if they are really living in darkness.

As for Gu Yijin, he was standing in the middle with his wide hood on him so everyone couldn’t see his face. But even so, just merely standing there already shouts his temperament that never likes others.

Gu Yijin’s hood fell off his head. Truthfully, this young man is really good-looking. If his personality were not as cold and silent and his temperament that seems not to welcome anybody, his popularity would be like Han Suwen and others. Fortunately after his performance with Chen Wei’s group, he was able to catch the attention of many and thus became one of the trainees that was sought by everyone.

This time, he had succeeded in putting the crowd’s eyes on him. The black veins that looked like a trademark from the members were beside his eyes. It looks like a small veins that want to cover his eyes but it looked even more alluring on his face.

A sudden shift occurs when the seemingly dark smoke created by their mental power starts to encircle Gu Yijin. The young man reached out his hand and as soon as his fingertips touched the dark smoke, tiny white particles came out from his palm instead.

"Does the light mean freedom?" This was his last line before the once gloomy atmosphere gradually changed.

The tall and wide trees that surround the arena grew but the leaves changed into more green and even some tiny flowers slowly bloomed. Above the stage, the dark looming clouds were gently swept away by the rising light that came out of nowhere.

The fifteen young men on stage also took off their dark clothes and the black part of their clothes changed into colored grey. The veins on their bodies also faded except for Gu Yijin. Now, the situation slowly turns warm as the atmosphere around the young men lighten as if the light that suddenly came to ease away the coldness earlier.

"Does this warmth from sunlight stay?

Will it quench all the thirst inside me?

But why do I still feel wrong? Or maybe just the sun isn’t for me..."

While others basked in the sunlight and enjoyed the warmth, Gu Yijin in the middle had a dark spotlight above him. It looks like he was still under the darkness amidst the springlike surroundings. How did his group come up with this song? At first, their group couldn’t even converse properly because Gu Yijin didn’t know how to. Back when he was the leader from the previous performance, the song and dance had already been made and all they had to do was to divide the parts and practice diligently together. Gu Yijin’s face expresses a faint anxiety and worry for his situation. As he stretched his hand again in hope to have the light again just like earlier, but instead of it, when his hand touched the tiny lights around the spring forest, a dark smoke came out from his palm.

Then, the other fourteen members abruptly stopped moving and turned their heads to him. The music also stopped and all they could hear was the fast breathing of the young man in the middle who was staring at his hand.

It seems that everyone felt the fear inside him when they witnessed the dark smoke growing back on him. What does this imply? Is it telling him that even if he reaches towards the light, darkness will always prevail?

Gu Yijin’s outreach palm stiffened as a small ball of dark-like smoke formed on him. The ball moved as if it wanted to fly away from his palm. But how can he do that?

All the light seems to cover the growing darkness on him until it slowly disappears on Gu Yijin.

The black veins beside his eyes also faded and now, they are completely under a forest where there was no darkness that chained them for so long.
