Chapter 228: Cemetery
The next destination is for Gu Yijin. After setting up the flying cameras well, the crew didn’t follow them too closely anymore but just let some staff go with them from a distance for better security.
While they were inside the hovercar, Qin An noticed Han Suwen’s hardened expression earlier when he talked to Qian Jin privately. They didn’t know what happened but he could keenly observe the frequent hesitant glances that the young man had towards him.
It made him frown in doubt. What’s going on?
"What’s the matter?" he asked finally.
"...I want to ask something," his voice was soft and almost silent, clearly expressing his hesitation to go further.
Even Gu Yijin who was solely focused on looking outside the window noticed Han Suwen’s strange attitude and raised his brow.
Looking at Qin An in front of him, Han Suwen gritted his teeth and cursed the production staff badly inside his mind.
Earlier he was still thankful for the company for letting him not disclose about himself, but it turns out that he has to do something.
Han Suwen has to ask Qin An about his background— and obviously about his family. The young man never disclosed any personal information about himself all along so it was obvious that Qin An himself didn’t want to tell them anything. Wasn’t that an obvious thing that he also doesn’t want anyone to ask him?
Although everyone didn’t know his background, Qin An became an orphan at such a young age and with his personality, it was obvious that maybe his family background is too deep and very mysterious, thus he was so private.
What might have happened in his past is definitely not something that’s okay to open up, but the higher ups just said to Qian Jin to actually ask Han Suwen to let the young man talk about his identity.
It’s just very rude and scheming! Forcing a minor to open his wounds when he didn’t even do anything!
"... Qin An, I’m sorry, but you can really not answer this," he said with a gritting teeth.
"What is it?"
"... Why did you choose to meet your fans anyway?" However, Han Suwen couldn’t really muster his conscience on directly asking his friend such a question about his family and thus just chose a somewhat ambiguous one.
Qin An didn’t answer first but carefully observed the latter’s expression. He was keenly aware that this question is not something that Han Suwen would definitely ask him. Means only one thing, was he forced?
Gu Yijin also noticed what was happening and frowned. Was this too much? Everyone just obviously knew Qin An was an orphan but they only wanted to hurt him.
He opened his lips and was about to say something but Qin An spoke first.
"There’s nothing to see from the other side." Unlike everyone’s hesitation and worry, Qin An’s expression remained calm and even a bit indifferent. He said those words as if nothing but the other two obviously froze.
Qin An knew that if he would not answer and satisfy the crew, they might even ask Han Suwen for another thing and thus just blurted out everything.
"I don’t have anyone to meet nor visit like you two." Since Qin An really doesn’t have any blood relations from the start, he thinks that his words are just casual and natural.
But others don’t think so.
Both Han Suwen and Gu Yijin froze and stared at the young man.
"I chose to meet them because that’s the only option that I could choose and it doesn’t matter anyway."
Qin An also wanted to meet them for other reasons, he was curious about the ’love’ that everyone has been talking about. During the family visit, he witnessed the ’love’ that everyone around him talked about— with their family.
He just thought that that kind of love is too impossible for him since he doesn’t have anyone to connect with. It was hard for him to connect because it seems that the love between blood relations is too deep. Something that he will never experience.
Thus he was more curious about the ’love’ that his fans have. Will it be the same as familial love? Or what will be their differences when they are just the same word— love?
Qin An genuinely didn’t mind his words and was just being truthful, but for everyone who doesn’t know the truth and just imagined his past as someone who has deep scars, what else could they feel upon hearing his words other than extreme pity?
Han Suwen’s face turned grim and resented the company for doing this. It was really too much to bully a minor!
Gu Yijin looked at Qin An for some seconds before patting his shoulder suddenly. "I want to introduce you to my parents later, is that okay?"
"Me? Sure," the young man casually agreed and didn’t notice the inexplicable expression of the two.

The hover car drove fast towards the private cemetery for the soldiers.
As soon as they landed, Qin An quickly noticed the black energy hovering around the surroundings. This place obviously has accumulating resentment all around because of the dead. It was understandable but compared to the Earth, the interstellar is obviously more ’polluted’.
Han Suwen and Qin An quietly followed Gu Yijin but when they were near his parent’s tombstones, the two didn’t continue to move forward and instead let the young man have a private time alone with his parents.
The two just wandered around quietly and Qin An was also observing the environment here. Even with the black energy from the dead, this place is actually more ’safe’ than any place for souls to stay. Because the souls are soldiers who accumulated merits during their life, this place was protected and thus even with the pollution, they don’t have deep resentment unlike outside.
Qin An still hasn’t seen a soul but just judging from the faint majestic and solemn atmosphere, this place is obviously sacred.
Qin An lowered his eyes and remembered in his past life how they guided the soldiers to the underworld. Those soldiers received a new and beautiful life for their next journey after reincarnation and had a good life that they deserved.
But what about the soldiers here?
Qin An knew that everyone thinks highly about this profession. They respected every soldier that fought for the country and they had longed to have peace after their voluntary sacrifices. It seems that everyone was hoping that wherever the soldiers go after death, they will be better because that’s what they needed the most.
But in this world, the soldiers clearly haven’t it.
They didn’t receive merit nor a good life after death because they couldn’t pass. What else can they do besides waiting anyway? Obviously none.
Is that what they deserved? No. Especially the current soldiers now that’s in war, he has subconsciously more thoughts about them because he was like just anybody else whom they are protecting now.
Qin An quietly sighs.
So as a grim reaper... and a human, Qin An has to send them to the afterlife.
