CHAPTER 230: 230: ROYAL TEA INVITE

"....."

Felix was short for words. He blinked as he stared at Eden, who let out a murderous smile and then tilted his head. "Go cover up or get out, I’m not in the mood." He pushed him back with his finger as he turned and headed for his bed.

Felix picked up the towel and covered himself up. He coughed, recovering from Eden’s brutal words. "You didn’t have to be so mean, Master. Do you have someone else you favour more now?"

Eden wrapped the bedsheet over himself. "None of your business."

"Is it that prince guy?" Felix inquired.

Eden said nothing.

Felix sighed. "Well, I’m your student. Your one and only student. So you should prioritise me, Master," he demanded.

"Stop being so childish. I’m sleepy."

"Childish?" Felix blinked. "Master, I feel betrayed. You can’t betray me for someone else. I should be your number one."

Eden had his eyes closed while he spoke.

"Master. Master. Are you asleep? Master. You should prioritise me," he demanded. Felix pouted lightly. "It’s all because of that little prince guy, how annoying."

---

Eden woke up the next day on his bed after rolling over and kicking Felix off.

Felix, who lay behind Eden, clothed already, fell off the bed with a loud thud.

"Ouch!" He groaned in pain as Eden slowly opened his eyes. He looked to his side as he saw Felix getting up on his feet. "Don’t you sleep in the woods anymore?"

"No. I want to stay with Master." He ran a hand through his sleepy eyes.

"You..." Eden cut his words as he let out a sharp yawn. He sat up in bed and looked around. "Since when did you get so clingy?"

Felix smiled. He climbed on the bed again while he took Eden’s hands in his, warmly cupping his hands in his. "Ever since I almost lost you out there and realised that I can’t make it without you."

Eden kicked him again. He fell off the bed. "Do I look like your power generating machine?" He muttered. He knew that was why Felix was getting clingy to him. Because the feeling of getting his powers back was greater than the fear of being gay.

He couldn’t snap at him either; he too was like that. He was also using him to get his powers. They both were.

But he guessed he woke up feeling cranky again, having realised that he is potentially falling in love with the male leads he’s supposed to only seduce!

"Master, why do I feel like you’re angry about something and you’re transferring the aggression on me?" Felix knelt by the bedside, staring at him.

"Well, lucky you," Eden said as he got down from bed.

"Aren’t you going to practice with me today?" Felix asked while watching him head to the bathroom. "My skills are getting rusty."

"Practice with yourself or something," he snapped as he made his way into the bathroom and slammed the door closed.

Felix blinked. "Did something happen?" He thought.

Eden was all dressed up in his room when a knock came at his door. "Come in," he sat there in bed, brushing through his hair with both hands when the door opened.

He saw a royal messenger standing at his door. That was something you don’t see every day.

"What?" Eden casually asked.

"The King summons you to the garden for some tea," he informed. "There, you will meet someone the king wishes you to meet. It’s an extremely important meeting, so make haste and head there now."

Eden sat there staring at him. When he was done talking, he left. "Someone important? A meeting? Why so sudden?"

"I wonder who it is now," Lenny, who sat beside him in bed, said.

Felix soon walked out of the bathroom, all dressed up. "What was that all about?" He asked as he saw Eden getting up to leave.

"Well, I guess I have an important meeting to attend."

"Meeting? How? Let me come with you," Felix insisted.

Eden wanted to tell him not to bother and stay behind. But he figured that he might likely need him. He didn’t have any powers at the moment and he simply couldn’t trust the king with just a meeting.

So he had to have a backup or something.

"Sure. Let’s go."

"..." Felix blinked, "Really?" He didn’t expect him to easily agree.

"Yeah. Sure. Let’s go."

"Okay," Felix flashed a smile. "Let’s go."

---

The two of them soon walked through the hallways of the palace. With Eden leading the way, they soon arrived at the path leading to the garden.

Eden stood there for a while. He took a breath in and out and cleared his throat. He didn’t know what to expect, so he was nervous. But he told himself to be confident no matter what.

He had to always play it cool to not get intimidated by any of them.

"Do I go out with you or...?" Felix inquired.

Eden hesitated before he turned to Felix. "Stay here. I’ll call you in if I need you. Okay?"

Felix nodded. "Okay. Sure."

Eden nodded as he turned and walked out to the garden.

He strolled through the pretty garden, which was adorned with different flowers. A design he didn’t seem to care about at the moment. Because all he wondered was whom the king wanted him to meet.

And he soon found out who it was.

Eden saw an older man sitting alone at the table there. Dressed in an attire he could tell was of a priest.

He didn’t know the person, and he certainly didn’t know why the king wanted him to meet him. But he guessed he’d have to go and meet this "Priest" if he wanted to know why.

And so Eden made his way to where he sat. He didn’t greet him nor take permission; Eden casually sat down opposite the priest, who was sipping down some tea.

"I suppose the king was naive enough to call some priest for me for exorcism," Eden said the first thing that popped up in his mind as he stared at the Great Priest of Elzager. He smiled.
