Chapter 237: Not your stand
CHAPTER 237: 237: NOT YOUR STAND
She slowly inhaled and then exhaled. "You..." her words came in bits. "You should mind your business..."
She hesitated as she added, "You’re not a part of this family at all. So..." she pushed the words out. Words that refused to flow. "So... Know your limits."
And as she forced the words out, she walked away. Leaving Eden standing there while the lady-in-waiting followed her.
The two of them were soon out of sight while Eden stood there watching them leave. He let out a soft gasp as he bit his lower lip.
He didn’t regret it. Any of the words he uttered. He didn’t. He simply hoped that those words would become reality soon.

Queen Lea was losing it. As soon as Eden and Queen Elizabeth left, she found herself pacing around the room.
"How dare he..." She snapped, walking up and down like one with no direction.
"Who does he think he is? A Wizard?! I’m a Queen! How dare he look down on me like that? How dare he treat me like that? Does he want to die?!"
She was losing it. She was red with fury while the maids tried to calm her down but to no avail.
She couldn’t hold it anymore. "That bastard has to go down. I have to make sure I take him down. I have to make sure he dies!" She snapped. Furious.
"I’ll have the king do something," she said. "I’ll have him take him down immediately. I can’t continue living with a monster like him, heaven knows what he’ll do next! He’ll tear me down."
"The King is too busy now. He’s already plotting to take him down soon. So I doubt he’ll listen to you at all," one of the maids said.
"Yes. So why don’t you calm down, my Queen, and wait for him to do what he planned? That way you can have him taken down immediately," another said.
But Queen Lea wasn’t having it at all. She sat down on her bed now feeling impatient. She was still boiling up as she glared at thin air. "No. I won’t wait for him to do something. I’ll also do something. And we’ll both take him down at the same time but from two different ways..."
She smiled. "I’ll be more satisfied watching that bastard torn apart from two places. It’ll be better that way. So I should also do something... Something that he won’t see coming at all."
The maids stood there watching; they were a bit worried but still asked, "And what do you plan on doing, My Queen?"
She hesitated, thoughts ran through her mind as she stared into thin air for a while. And after a while, she said, "He’s close to my son..." she said. "They’re close, right? So I’ll make use of that."
Queen Lea said staring at one of the maids, "Go and call me my son this instant. Tell him I want to see him, urgently," she instructed.

By the time Eden arrived at his chamber, he brushed the thought off his mind. At least he tried. The thought of his words with Queen Elizabeth and all.
He didn’t wish to think about it, at least for now.
Felix was nowhere to be seen when he arrived. He guessed he had left a while after he disappeared. Eden figured that he really had something to do with that priest. And it was an encounter that had triggered some memories. And so he was probably leaving to avoid meeting him.
He couldn’t be so sure though.
"What’s wrong? What’s with that look on your face?" Lenny asked as soon as he arrived. He lay on the bed enjoying some snacks he had stolen from the kitchen while he was bored.
Eden sat beside him on the bed. He sighed. He didn’t wish to tell him about his encounter with Queen Elizabeth, so he decided to talk about the more important issues.
He explained to Lenny how he met the priest and everything that transpired between the two of them. And their conversation too.
And as soon as he was done, he stared at Lenny. "So? What do you think?"
"Hmmmm," Lenny ran a hand through its jaw. "It’s pretty obvious that he knows you. I mean the wizard of EL. And mostly obvious that they had some sort of strained complicated relationship. One that definitely didn’t end well at all..."
Eden nodded. "I could at least tell that from the conversation. And he also used my real name. The wizard of El’s real name. Lyeian. That’s my first time hearing it..."
Eden hesitated. "But why does it actually sound so familiar. As if I’ve heard it before... really..." he thought for a while but couldn’t remember anything.
"Of course it’s the wizard of El’s real name. And this is the first time it’s mentioned in the book. So I think we’re getting somewhere in the book. A place where a lot of revelation will be happening soon. And I think the backstory of the wizard could heavily be tied down to this priest."
Eden sighed. "I never knew the wizard of EL could have a backstory. I mean, he died off pretty early in the book. So it didn’t seem like there was anything to know deeper about his character. Other than he was a killing machine whom everyone wanted dead..."
Lenny shrugged. "Well I guess since you’re still alive, we’re bound to know something about his past at least. Like, how he came to be the wizard of EL and why he’s doing what he’s doing. All this stuff the author didn’t add yet," He explained.
Eden sighed. "But then how’s it related to the priest. What the hell does he have to do with it?"
"Given that King Edward seems to be betting on him for his last card, it seems he actually has a lot to do with the wizard of EL. Almost as if he’s the only person who can take you down easily. As if he’s the one who made you..."
