CHAPTER 12: DARK CAVE 1 — "I THINK THERE IS ANOTHER LIFEFORM IN HERE"

"it’s beautiful, isn’t it" It echoed in the long silence and slowly faded like a beat of a heart.

After a minute long. Another voice was heard braking the silence again.

Moreover this voice sounded just like the one — that was heard before.

It whispered. Low yet still loud enough.

"It is.. even if not much time have passed since my birth. It gives me a feeling, as if my very essence is locked up somewhere within the confines of that ball of energy!."

Naturally the one who spoke was Black and his words carried an unknown emotion he felt towards that giant ball of energy. Something he just couldn’t describe.

It was an abnormal even unfamiliar sensation.

One that he understood, but couldn’t verbalize.

Double blinked. Directly looking at him. He was clearly surprised by the weard or unusual answer Black had given.

Yet one could see the subtle smile hiding at the corner of his lips — what that smile ment was everyone’s guess.

"Do you know what that is Black?" Double questioned. Still not asking straightforwardly, instead going the long way again.

Black’s eyes widened not by how Double was at it again. Taking the long route again instead of just telling him what that giant ball of energy was. Instead by the fact it was the first time Double had called him by his name.

Apparently after Black had given himself a name at Double’s request, he had never called him by his name until now, always using words like idiot, fool and all.

Black also turned towards him, although stunned, still he answered, "No, I don’t know what it is.. care to tell me!?" He finished. His face returning to normal.

"Certainly.. " Double began, "The answer is very simple actually, I think you already know what it is or have a guess, I suppose but still I’ll enlighten you Anyway!." Double closed his eyes. Directly looking towards the giant ball of energy above.

He opened his eyes again. His golden orbs aglow with an otherworldly light, "it’s your Soul — The Soul Essence of The Quantiarch Progenitor... that’s what it is!!!" He closed his golden eyes again.

Leaving behind dazed Black.

Who also looked at the Soul Essence above with a shell shocked look on his face.

Trying to process the information. He wondered, ’That’s My Soul — My Essence — The Progenitor’s Soul.’

Meanwhile..

Located in the underground caverns of Hallow Woods of Elytheria.

In the small dark cave.

There stood a lone figure at the center of the cave.

The all-consuming even abyssal darkness embracing his chiseled physique.

However even in that dark vail one could hear the small but strong beat of the figure’s heart. It came and went like the tempest wind.

*ba-dumb* *ba-dumb*

Although the darkness felt both eerie and palpable even terrifying like the infinite Abyss yet it still had a certain warmth to it that only Black could feel.

Yes, The figure standing at the center of the dark cave was naturally Black.

Moreover, After his long talk and some small scruffles with his Double where he learned about his identity. Double’s identity. The System and some other general information.

Some information came from Double himself.

While some came from his Partial-Omniscint ability that he also learned in this time. Which previously he had used on instincts but didn’t know what it was until he was told otherwise.

Black finally opened his eyes in the all-consuming darkness embracing him.

Enshroudeing the whole dark cave like a death-vail.

His two bright golden orbs shone like the blazing sun and with a fierce intensity like the dawn of a new era.

Furthermore one could still see his bright eyes even in this all-consuming and abyssal darkness even from 5 meters away. The good thing was that there was no one to see that otherwise, they would’ve been spooked sh*t less.

Additionally, Black’s beating heart had already calm down in all this time and the small amount of sweat he had formed previously because of his nervousness and fear by the sudden awakening of his unique even strange system had already been delt with by the cold-chill present in this dark cave.

As he looked around the dark cave. The side walls. The ceiling above. The ground below. Everything was the same.

However he still felt that something was different as if he was missing something.

Of course something felt different. He was in his soul sea for who knows how long.

Therefore something must have changed in the dark cave. Then the cave itself being the place of his origin add on to that as a Progenitor his senses were strong to began with. Enough that he was able to tell that something had changed in the dark cave.

"Do you know why I’m feeling this strange sensation right now!?" Black probed.

Double was the only person in this dark cave other than him. Or that what he thought —

Apparently, after all that scruffles and tussle they had in his soul sea he had already accepted the fact that he would be together with this intelligent Progenitor memory of his for a long time and has even developed a slight dependence on him as he was the one who had answered most of Black’s questions.

"Hmm... you must be feeling this.. err.. because.. en.. maybe a lot of time have passed. And since it was the first time you had entered your soul sea maybe that’s the reason you are feeling like this!" Double suggested. He tried to think of different reasons as to why Black was feeling as if something was weard in this cave.

However Black shook his head.

"No, it’s not because of the time, I’ve already asked Partial-Omniscint about that and not more than 6 hours have passed since I entered in my soul sea. It it was the first thing that I did after I felt something was off. It’s kind of like.. Uh.. I think there is another lifeform in here — " but before Black could continue. He suddenly heard a sound.
