CHAPTER 13: DARK CAVE 2 — DARK FALL POISEN SERPENT

*Hisss*

The sudden voice nearly gave him a stroke and left him paralysed for a second there which was nothing but an illusion of his imagination.

The only good part was that he hadn’t shouted like a little girl.

If he had — then that would’ve been quite sight to see.

Earlier when He had asked Partial-Omniscint, ’why he was feeling that something was off’ — But how can a partial ability tell him why he was feeling these unknown sensations just after leaving his soul sea.

If it could then that would just be absurd — well it probably could, but not with the way it is right now.

The unknown sensations were really unique in nature that both fascinated and thrilled him.

He just had a slight felling that maybe some other lifeform be it a spirit, a magical beast or the onee living above or anything for that matter might have entered the dark cave when he was in his soul sea in those 6 hour and hadn’t noticed him because of the abyssal darkness embracing him and enshroudeing the whole cave like a dark-vail.

However! It was just A Felling! A Hunch!.

Black never really thought that there might be one in the cave.

Therefore He was totally not prepared for when He suddenly heard the *hissing* sound coming from right behind him.

And Oh boy! Was he scared — Yes of course he was.

He was so fu*king shocked because of the sudden sound that he nearly had a stroke and almost jumped from where he was standing.

However then like an angel descending from the heavens Double spoke in his mind like a guiding light calming his emotions.

Right now his face was facing towards the dark cave’s exit and from the cave’s opposite end. Had come the *small hissing* sound. Double spoke...

"Don’t panic Black. Don’t panic. Alright! Whoever this life form is. It probably can’t see you in this ’Dark vail’ enshroudeing the whole cave alright!" Double uttered in Black’s head emphasizing the ’Dark vail’ part to calm him down because of the sudden spook he got.

Black slightly nodded his head. Indicating that he had already calm down.

He is not a child — Ok — Okayyyy...

Hmmm. — Good.

Upon Seeing Black slight nod. Double continued.

"It must have sensed you, when you spoke to me earlier. Just turn around slowly and see what this unknown creature is first, alright! If it is weaker than you or is in the second Stage! You can even use the systems [ Host Info. ] to learn more about it!" He guided Black in a calm and composed manner.

Since Black have no proper Battle experience other than some small bits of information he knew from the Partial-Omniscint ability. And being 1 day and 12 hours old infant didn’t help it either.

"Alright, I’ll do as you say!?" Black replied. Nodding. Fully trusting Double’s words on this one. As he slowly stared turning around.

Meanwhile, In the Abyssal Darkness enshroudeing the area!.

Black slowly started moving and turning towards his right! Doing a 45° turn! Then a 90° turn! Finally Completing a 180° turn.

After completing the turn he looked towards the direction of the unknown sound and what he saw made him quiet surprised and a little embarrassed too that he got spooked by such a thing and nearly made a joke of himself.

The good thing was that nothing like that happened and he hadn’t shouted like a little girl because of Double’s timely intervention.

There, in this all-consuming Darkness, at the same place where Black had once opened his eyes. He saw a little serpent coiled around the corner touching the walls of the cave.

It was no more than a meter long. Had a body covered in ebony scale’s shimmering in the darkness like reflecting the very essence of death itself, it’s eyes two orbs of Scarlett reflecting the shadows of the earth and its pupils, two vertical onyx slits, can contract to mere slits or dilate to vast expanses, suggesting a chameleon-like ability to adapt to the dimmest and brightest of realms but even with such an ability it couldn’t see past 3 meters in this abyssal Darkness-vail.

The little serpents body was trembling in fear and unease as it looked around the dark cave in scrutiny. But it did not cower in fear even if it couldn’t find the source of the voice it had heard in this darkness.

However it still gazed at the location where the little serpent had heard Black’s voice come from in full attention.

Even if it could not see Black in the Dark vail. Black could see it clearly, the little serpents gaze was looking right at him even if it could not see him ultimately.

"Where did this little thing come from?" Black mumbled, but this time he spoke in his mind instead of voicing out his thaughts.

"Hmm... even I don’t know where it came from... but it’s clearly weaker than you. So you should probably check it’s information in the systems [ Host Info. ] Black!" Double replied. Suggesting him what to do.

Even if he hadn’t told Black.

He would’ve done it anyway, he wasn’t that stupid that he needed to be told every little thing.

As Black stared at the serpent, and thaught of viewing it’s information in the system’s

[ Host Info. ]...

The systems black screen popped up.

"It’s even younger then me..." Black exclaimed as he saw the little serpents information on the system screen. Amazed at finding someone even younger then him so soon after his birth.

Hearing the strange voice again the little serpent hissed.

Maybe it even understood him as now it was staring right at where Black was standing.

Even if it couldn’t see him the little serpent knew that beyond that dark-vail stood someone gazing at it —
