Chapter 315 - 283: The Terror of the Nameless Land_2
CHAPTER 315: CHAPTER 283: THE TERROR OF THE NAMELESS LAND_2
With the help of the ’God of Justice,’ the game character narrowly escaped the fate of being swallowed by the Purple Flower Sea (a terrifying black hole). But the misfortune had not ended, the crisis still lingered, and the next segment of the story was the key.
The game continued.
...
...
"Pitch-black mountains, churning gray mist like curtain-like walls, with faint, terrifying wails sounding in the distance..."
"When you get a clearer look at the surroundings again, you find yourself far away from the desert that is being engulfed by the Purple Flower Sea, arriving at the domain where the ’House of Truth’ stands, situated at the base of that black mountain."
"What have you done to provoke the ’Nameless Land’ itself, causing it to actively connect with the Real World? This is something even during the era ruled by the ’Blasphemous Wizard’ on Old Earth that has never occurred."
"A voice filled with friendliness, kindness, and an indescribable undertone arrives, and you see a faintly glowing projection of a Pure White Sun manifest in the Void, its center vaguely showing the ’God of Justice.’"
"This is only a projection."
"The real ’God of Justice’ hasn’t come here, but remains in the Extreme East Land."
"You quickly realize this."
"Yet compared to this revelation, another matter draws your attention even more heavily..."
"This God of Justice, who appears to have merely an ’Angel’-level stature, seems to possess an unimaginable understanding of the ’Four Indescribable Lands,’ even knowing that the terrifying phenomenon was caused by one of the ’Nameless Lands’ actively corroding the Real World."
"Moreover,"
"This God of Justice with an ’Angel’-level stature managed to bring themselves and the ’Secret Cultivator’ out of the polluted and distorted Purple Flower Sea caused by the ’Nameless Land.’"
"That’s something even the ’Divine Sovereign’ would struggle to achieve."
"There’s yet another detail... According to the God of Justice’s explanation, the ’Nameless Land’ is deeply unwilling to enter the Real World; for them, it seems to be something to avoid at all costs."
"Could there be some profound reason behind this?"
"Later, you could ask ’Small White Creature’; perhaps he may know something about this."
"Various thoughts flash through your mind in an instant, but soon you rein in your scattered thinking. Shrugging your shoulders, you say... I encountered a relic in the desert, and during my exploration, I witnessed the strange rituals conducted by the ’Dota Clan’."
"You recount the adventure in broad strokes, deliberately omitting the part about obtaining the ’Seed.’
"By the way,"
"Speaking of which, I still don’t know what this ’Seed,’ which has apparently infuriated the Nameless Land so much, truly is."
"Maybe I’ll check it out later."
"The God of Justice asks no further questions; their voice grows more tranquil, as if they believe your words."
"Suddenly, an anxious voice is heard... Respected ’God of Justice,’ the horrors of the desert continue to rage unchecked, with disaster spreading at an unimaginable speed. This may lead to the destruction of Old Earth and the annihilation of the universe; what can we do to stop it?"
"The speaker is the ’Secret Cultivator,’ who recalls the God of Justice’s earlier angry roar and can’t help but feel deeply uneasy."
"You look at the pulsating, expanding phantom of the Pure White Sun before you, thinking that the universe shouldn’t be so easily doomed, yet you remain curious to know how this terror could be stopped."
"More importantly, what you truly want to know is... whether the God of Justice has a method to stop it."
"The God of Justice’s response catches everyone off guard."
"From the Void comes a soft, friendly, and kind voice... There’s no need to stop it."
"No need to stop it?"
"No need to stop it?"
"Hearing these words, both you and the ’Secret Cultivator’ are stunned, repeating them almost instinctively."
"Soon, the God of Justice provides an explanation... The ’Nameless Land,’ in its essence, harbors an unfathomable aversion to the Real World, to the Material World, to the universe, and to all sorts of concepts, dominion, and symbols—so much so that it avoids them entirely. Although it’s unclear what triggered this extreme reaction, causing it to connect with the Real World, this will certainly be temporary. Once sanity returns, it will retract its branches, severing all ties with the Real World. Of course, the lingering impact will remain terrifying, but it will merely be residual."
"The ’Nameless Land’ itself harbors an unfathomable aversion to the Material World, the universe, and all sorts of dominion and symbols, avoiding them at all costs?"
"You mutter this sentence repeatedly, puzzled."
"After all, shouldn’t the Evil God’s desire be to covet the ’Material World,’ yearning to descend and unleash calamity?"
"Though perplexed, you do not voice these thoughts. The reason is simple: you never truly trust the God of Justice, which is also why you refrained from mentioning the ’Seed.’
"Unlike you, the ’Secret Cultivator’ thinks of another question and asks... But what if this ’Evil God’ refuses to sever its connection to the Real World?"
"Once more, the calm, friendly, and kind voice of the God of Justice emerges from the phantom of the Pure White Sun... Then, the disappearance of Old Earth, the annihilation of the universe, all of it will become irreversible. This is something even ’gods’ cannot resist, and thus, attempting to prevent it would hold no meaning."
...
In the Real World,
Suddenly, Yang Qizhou and the ’Secret Cultivator’ simultaneously cease refreshing the text, exchanging a glance to witness each other’s shock and disbelief.
They couldn’t remain composed—not when such words carried weight so heavy.
If the ’Nameless Land’ refuses to sever its active connection to the Real World, then the disappearance of Old Earth, the universe’s annihilation, all of it will become inevitable, leaving only fate to unfold.
This thought is overwhelmingly heavy, suffused with despair.
"Lamp holder... Lamp holder, do you think what the God of Justice said is true?" A voice filled with trembling asks—the ’Secret Cultivator’s.’
Yang Qizhou remains silent for a moment before shaking his head. "I don’t know."
After a brief pause, Yang Qizhou suddenly rises to his feet, heading toward the restroom as he says, "Nature calls. I’ll step away for a moment; we’ll continue the game when I return."
Inside the restroom, within the closed confines.
Yang Qizhou manifests the game’s ’Small White Creature’ into the Real World.
This palm-sized, fluffy little ball of flesh is somehow asleep, snoring softly, its stomach inflating and deflating in an oddly adorable rhythm.
"Why are you asleep?" Yang Qizhou doesn’t hesitate to wake it.
’Small White Creature’ groggily opens its eyes, glances around, and instinctively rolls to the side, almost tumbling off the sink—only to be caught by Yang Qizhou, who had anticipated its reaction. Even so, it looks thoroughly terrified.
"I, I don’t know what happened! Oh, right, seems like Mama’s big account missed me... Yup, yup, that must be it."
After hesitating, the ’Small White Creature’ curiously surveys its surroundings and asks, "Papa, is this your divine kingdom too?"
Divine kingdom my ass.
Yang Qizhou takes a deep breath, momentarily setting aside the nonsense. Instead, he recounts everything that had transpired in the game, finishing with the question: "What the ’God of Justice’ said—is it true?"
"I don’t know." The ’Small White Creature’ responds bluntly.
"You... don’t know?"
"Mmhm. Mama says matters related to ’strange,’ ’apocalypse,’ and ’sun’ are best left unprovoked; otherwise, terrifying forms of pollution may arise, and only those who reach the level of the ’Old King’ can avoid them entirely."
Proactively seeking the deeds of the ’Nameless Land’ brings horrifying pollution, which only the ’Old King’ can escape.
Then why would the God of Justice know these things?
Yang Qizhou furrows his brows...
