"His Zanpakutō's ability has grown again compared to last time... Has he been hiding even more strength this whole time?" Ichimaru Gin's eyes narrowed sharply as the crushing pressure of thirty times gravity weighed against him. Bursting forth with a pulse of controlled Reiatsu, he countered the gravitational force to stabilize himself.
Those who had witnessed Ichimaru Gin struggling earlier under Shiraha's fifteenfold gravity might have assumed him overpowered—but that had merely been an act. Gin had no intention of showing his true strength unless necessary. He was watching, not fighting.
And then there was Yachiru Kusajishi. The pink-haired Vice-Captain of the Eleventh Division moved about freely, completely unaffected by the overwhelming pressure. Her small form danced through the wreckage like gravity didn't apply to her at all, a testament to the incomprehensible nature of her Reiatsu signature.
The four elder instructors, however, were not so fortunate. Crushed under the weight of Shiraha's Reiatsu and the punishing thirtyfold gravity, they were rendered completely immobile. Their knees had buckled long ago, and now they lay prostrate against the shattered ground, unable to even lift their heads. Their spiritual pressure wasn't nearly enough to shield them from this relentless suppression.
"Oh? His body can still move?" Shiraha muttered with mild surprise. Using his Observation Haki, he tracked Zaraki Kenpachi's slow advance. Despite the gravitational pressure threatening to flatten him into the earth, the Eleventh Division's captain continued marching forward.
He hadn't yet revealed the full extent of his gravitational manipulation. Shiraha was carefully holding back. The goal wasn't to defeat Zaraki right away, but to survive long enough to complete the system's sign-in task—remain undefeated for thirty minutes. Once that time elapsed and his template progress jumped another ten percent, then he could think about finishing this.
Kenpachi closed the gap, now less than ten meters away, grinning through blood-slick teeth as his Zanpakutō trailed behind him like a predator waiting to strike.
With a flick of his wrist, Shiraha altered the gravitational field.
"Weightlessness control."
Instantly, the gravitational pull around Zaraki reversed. The ground beneath him fractured as soil and stone erupted upward. The entire ten-meter zone surrounding him became a suspension field, ripping matter from the earth and sending it skyward in floating debris.
Kenpachi's body, caught in the gravity distortion, rose rapidly, yanked dozens of meters into the air.
"Gravity Blade—Tiger Slash."
Shiraha raised his blade, coated it in Armament Haki, and charged it with compressed gravity. A moment later, a massive purple crescent slash exploded from his sword, roaring toward the airborne Kenpachi like a meteor.
The gravitational properties embedded in the attack caused the earth below to break apart as massive stone slabs lifted into the sky. The slash itself elongated, tens of meters wide, buzzing with lethal spiritual force as it closed in on its target.
"Hahaha! Now this is what I call a fight!" Kenpachi laughed from above, his eyes gleaming with madness. Gripping his chipped Zanpakutō tightly, he swung it forward.
"Sword Pressure!"
A blast of golden Reiatsu surged from his blade to meet Shiraha's gravitational strike.
BOOOOM!
The two forces collided with earthshaking violence. The golden and purple slashes howled against each other in midair, sending shockwaves high into the sky. Clouds were scattered by the sheer force of the collision, ripped apart as if punched by the heavens.
Within a hundred-meter radius around Kenpachi, everything was reduced to spirit particles and scattered to the wind. Buildings, trees, and even the atmosphere itself shimmered with residual energy.
The sword clash raged for a moment, but then Shiraha's gravity-enhanced slash pushed through. Armament Haki and gravitational force proved too much for even Zaraki's raw Reiatsu.
The golden sword pressure cracked, then shattered.
The massive purple blade continued forward, slamming into Kenpachi with full force.
Shhhhkkkt!
Pffft!
Pffft!
Three consecutive slicing sounds echoed.
Kenpachi's body was torn open as the attack cleaved through him. Deep gashes ran from shoulder to thigh. Blood sprayed wildly, painting the air crimson. His captain's haori, once a banner of pride, was now soaked half-red, clinging to his frame.
But Shiraha wasn't finished.
"Gravity Chaos."
He activated a dual-layered gravitational manipulation—first canceling all gravity beneath Kenpachi to keep him suspended in the air, then, in the very next instant, reactivating thirtyfold gravity, pulling him down like a meteor.
As the gravitational trap took hold, Shiraha didn't stop there. To ensure complete suppression, he cast three high-level Bakudō in rapid succession.
"Bakudō #61: Rikujōkōrō!"
"Bakudō #62: Hyapporankan!"
"Bakudō #63: Sajō Sabaku!"
Chantless and seamless, the spells erupted from his outstretched hand, locking onto Zaraki with the precision of a master Kidō practitioner. Six golden light rods pierced into Kenpachi's body, freezing him midair. A dozen glowing rods struck next, hammering him from every angle. Then came the chain—a thick, spectral snake of pure energy coiling tightly around his torso, arms, and legs.
Kenpachi, caught mid-fall, was frozen in place, his Reiatsu struggling but failing to break the spells. Even his monstrous strength couldn't immediately shatter them under the crushing weight of thirty times gravity.
Then gravity reclaimed him.
BOOM!
Kenpachi plummeted like a comet. The impact carved a crater dozens of meters wide into the earth, throwing up a shockwave so powerful it shattered what remained of the practice field. Tremors rumbled across the arena, the very ground beneath the spectators trembling. Cracks shot through the stone as far as the eye could see.
Sasakibe's expression darkened as he observed the destruction. "That power… that level of combat awareness… that Zanpakutō ability… Kuchiki Shiraha isn't just gifted. He's dangerous."
He spoke with the authority of someone who had served under Yamamoto Genryūsai for over two thousand years. He had witnessed countless prodigies rise and fall, but none had displayed the combat maturity, ability fusion, and restraint Shiraha had just shown.
If not for the fact that Shiraha was aligned with Seireitei, he would already be classified as a top-level threat to the Soul Society.
Ichimaru Gin, standing beside Yachiru, let out a soft whistle. "Scary, scary. What do you think, Vice-Captain Kusajishi? Captain Zaraki hasn't even touched Shiraha-kun so far."
He smiled, but the usual mischief in his voice was tinged with genuine unease. Shiraha hadn't just held his own against Kenpachi—he had dominated the fight so far. Every clash had gone in his favor.
Yachiru didn't answer right away. Her eyes were fixed on the center of the crater. She smiled, but it wasn't cheerful.
"Ken-chan's going to start getting serious now."
As she spoke, golden Reiatsu exploded from the crater like a geyser, radiating more intensely than before.
A skeletal mask of energy—half-formed, like an ancient beast awakening—floated briefly behind it.
From the broken earth, Zaraki Kenpachi rose, bleeding and furious, but still very much alive.
"Kuchiki Shiraha… you gonna keep playing with Kidō and gravity tricks?" he snarled, blood running down his face. "I want you to pick up that Zanpakutō… and cut me again. Just like before."
He wasn't smiling anymore.
