Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel
Chapter 713: -146- Bloodline Elf_2
As for Moon God Island, although she was now a demigod, considering that it was after all Mireya's foremost power, Charlotte thought about it and decided not to seek discomfort there.
Elves had also once been dominators, who knows how many cards they still held up their sleeves, even the Prohibition Magic that initially sealed Gods was concocted by them.
The descended Gods were not invincible, and now half-hearted Charlotte going there could have made things interesting.
...
Wester County, Nais headquarters.
Inside the central castle, members of Nais Clan Elders, led by Badak, were gathered in the hall, waiting patiently.
The throne at the center of the hall was empty.
But unlike before, now... no one dared to get too close to the throne.
After some time, a crimson glow spread throughout the castle.
Countless black bats converged in the hall, eventually forming a human shape on the throne.
"True Ancestor..."
Seeing Charlotte reappear on the throne, the Elders of Nais Clan bowed respectfully.
Observing Charlotte's slightly furrowed brows, Badak's heart stirred, and he asked,
"True Ancestor, did Alek and Campel...escape?"
Charlotte shook her head:
"No, I caught up with them."
"Then they..."
Duke Yoroc couldn't help but ask.
Recalling the stars that vanished in the Crimson Star Sea, Charlotte paused slightly then said:
"They...probably died."
Died...died?
Several Nais Clan Elders were slightly shocked, evidently astonished.
Apparently, they had not expected Alek and Campel to die, not even Duke Yoroc who reported their flight.
They thought...Charlotte was only going to capture the fleeing Bloodline members.
Died?
Just like that?
Alek died just like that?
They were legends!
Duke Yoroc's mouth fell open, his expression quite remarkable.
Noticing the shock turning subtly into fear among the few elders, Charlotte knew they had misunderstood, thinking this was her way of punishing the fugitives.
Charlotte was somewhat helpless.
However, she did not offer much explanation.
Fear sometimes wasn't a bad thing when she needed to establish authority, which indeed should be both benevolent and stern.
The "benevolence"—from the "True Ancestor's" perspective—had already been provided, not holding past "betrayals" accountable, and promising future protection was already considered a "benevolence" for the Nais Clan; hence, punishing the still deluded "betrayers" would be her sternness.
Her gaze swept over the Nais Clan Elders, Charlotte paused then said:
"From today onwards, the Nais Clan... will only have Falling Star Island Bloodline, no Moon God Island Elves."
Upon hearing Charlotte's words, several Nais Elders were all stunned simultaneously.
"True Ancestor...are you... planning to strip the Moon God Island lineage of their bloodline powers, removing their Bloodline status?"
Great Elder Robin could not resist asking.
"Removing their Bloodline status?"
Charlotte chuckled lightly.
She shook her head, saying profoundly:
"They never belonged to the Bloodline in the first place, how can they be stripped of something they never had?"
Not belonging...to the Bloodline?
The Nais Elders were all astounded.
Seeing their bewildered looks, Charlotte knew that these Bloodline members had not discovered anything wrong with the Elf Bloodline members, she paused then asked,
"The Nais Clan...originated from the Northern Territory and the former Blood Legion, but as far as I know, they had no dealings with the Elf Clan in the distant past."
"Gentlemen, who among you can tell me the origins of the Moon God Island Elf Bloodline?"
After Charlotte's words, all elders turned to look at Badak.
Badak's face darkened:
"Don't look at me, I've said it, I've lost a lot of memory, whoever knows should speak up."
Evidently, once Charlotte had the support of this "big backer," the former Third Legion Commander of the Free City-State Alliance had completely unleashed himself, no longer playing the role of the cold hearted in fear, but reverted to the reckless and somewhat naïve image of his early days as Group Leader.
Left with no choice, Duke Yoroc and the others turned to Elder Charles.
Elder Charles, however, did not "lose his memory." After a moment of consideration, he respectfully said,
"True Ancestor, it's a long story. The Nais Clan from Moon God Island was established by one of our Nais Clan's Elf Clan elders who transformed into a Bloodline after you went missing."
"His name is Femarol, a third-generation Bloodline, you... should know him as well, if I am not mistaken, he was once your personal guard, and you even complimented him for his tall stature by saying 'truly tall.'"
"The origin of his name is just so, as in the ancient Elf language, 'Femarol' means 'you are so tall'..."
Charlotte: ...
What is all this?
No, no, no...
She really doesn't know him; he might know "her," but she definitely doesn't know him.
And the "her" he knows isn't actually her.
Of course, Charlotte knew the name Femarol; she had extensively studied from Yulster and knew that he was the leader among the three Legendary Bloodlines of Moon God Island and indeed once a follower by the side of the "True Ancestor."
Incidentally, Charlotte had observed that this individual's star in the Crimson Star Sea had not been included in the Nais Clan's oath, likely a "fake Bloodline."
As for how Charlotte determined that star was indeed his, quite simply, among the remaining stars of Moon God Island, only this one had an aura that could reach a legendary level.
This is called the process of elimination.
Thinking it over, Charlotte mused,
"Take a good look into the Elf Bloodlines of Moon God Island, investigate their origins, their methods of inheritance, their true identities, and their purposes."
Their true identities... and purposes?
The Nais Clan elders were all stunned.
Duke Yoroc couldn't help asking,
"True Ancestor, about Femarol and the others..."
"Their identities... are problematic."
Charlotte stated calmly.
Their identities are problematic?
The Nais Clan elders looked at each other, their expressions colorful.
Seemingly reminded of something, Duke Robin's expression changed subtly.
He took a deep breath, bowed to Charlotte, and respectfully said,
"True Ancestor, understood, I will arrange for someone to investigate the Bloodline Elves of Moon God Island as soon as possible."
"Keep it low-key and confidential."
Charlotte reminded.
Duke Robin bowed respectfully:
"I will heed your oracle..."
After Charlotte issued the command to cut off and secretly investigate the Moon God Island Bloodlines to the Nais Clan, she then left.
This time, she truly left.
Thanks to the Prohibition spell of the Nais Clan's residence.
A great power is still a great power, and even in decline, the spell that obscured their residence was still powerful, confining the "Blood Moon Phenomenon" caused by Charlotte strictly within the castle grounds of the Nais Clan.
This actually solved the problem of Charlotte's identity being exposed rapidly.
Not to mention, had the Blood Moon phenomenon truly affected all of Falling Star or even the entire world, probably in the next second, all the Transcendent Forces around the world would know the "True Ancestor" had awakened.
For now, it's fine, it's just within the Nais Clan, and the Nais Clan has come back to the embrace of the True Ancestor, having formed a covenant with Charlotte, bound by the covenant, as long as Charlotte doesn't allow them to leak the information, they cannot do so.
Charlotte's "True Ancestor" identity should still be able to hold off for some time.
One more day is one day. If it got exposed, there'd be nothing to do, after all, so many Bloodlines had been taken in.
...
Using the Super Long-Distance Teleportation Array borrowed from the Nais residence, Charlotte returned to Falling Star City, just as dawn broke.
From start to finish, just one night's time.
Thanks to Nisi, this all-purpose tool cat, no one in the Red Palace noticed that Charlotte, the prospective Queen, had sneaked out for the night.
Charlotte had reverted to her original appearance and changed into noble attire.
Just as she had changed her clothes not long ago, a familiar aura approached from afar.
It was Albrecht who Charlotte had dispatched to find the "traitors" among the higher echelons of Falling Star, returning now.
Charlotte's spirits immediately lifted.
The Nais Clan had succumbed, and next... it would be the turn of the entire Falling Star Kingdom.
