Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel
Chapter 756: -13- Great Prophet
As if crossing through a layer of transparent fluid, a faint repulsion came from all directions, mild and breathless.
Charlotte's vision was overwhelmed by a vast whiteness in an instant, and her outward perception was severed just as quickly.
It was as though she had crossed a boundary into a void, and in the blink of an eye, the severed perception reconnected, while Charlotte's vision gradually took on a shade of crimson.
Before her was a boundless land.
Mountains rose and fell in succession, guarding towering castles, surrounded by endless, dense forests.
In the center of the castle cluster stood a tall palace, a crimson beam connecting the palace to the sky, illuminating the entire world.
The red glow scattered in all directions, the sky, the earth, the trees, the castles... all exhibited various shades of dark red, invoking a feeling of depth and mystery.
And where Charlotte and her companions appeared was just outside the central palace's entrance.
"Queen Charlotte, please wait here for a moment. I will go and report to the Great Prophet," Sofia said with a bow to Charlotte.
Charlotte nodded slightly.
Sofia turned and entered the palace, while Charlotte curiously surveyed her surroundings, eagerly focusing her senses.
The moment she arrived here, she felt an intense throbbing from the Blood Holy Scripture deep in her consciousness, feeling a strong attraction.
The attraction was everywhere, and upon closer perception, it seemed to originate from all directions.
At the same time, Charlotte's Bloodline senses were also stirred; she keenly perceived the presence of thousands of Bloodline members. These presences were scattered throughout the castles and, in the mountains beyond them, remote senses of presence were faintly discernible.
Charlotte's heart stirred slightly; she separated a strand of consciousness into her sea of knowledge, summoning the Crimson Star Sea that represented the Bloodline, and then discovered that those previously vague and hard to locate members of the Harcos Clan finally became traceable.
They... were situated in this dark crimson different space. Roughly sensing, there were about seven or eight thousand people; around half of them were concentrated in the castles, with the rest scattered in distant mountains.
In addition to the seven or eight thousand Bloodline members that Charlotte could clearly sense, there were other indistinct stars, which seemed elusive but could also be located upon close perception; they must be some still slumbering Bloodline members.
After briefly sensing them, Charlotte ascertained that the clear stars, together with the indistinct ones, totaled about thirteen thousand, which should be all the members of the Harcos Clan in the "Holy Land."
Aside from the Bloodline in the "Holy Land," plus those she felt beneath the Divine Hall just before entering the "Holy Land," maintaining the Northern Territory Restriction, the members of the Harcos Clan would not exceed fourteen thousand.
But this was not the main focus of Charlotte's bloodline perception.
The place where her bloodline sensed the strongest was beneath the castle group.
Or more accurately, the "underground" of the castle group.
This part of the bloodline sensation was special. Aside from the rhythm of the bloodline, Charlotte also vaguely felt some chaos similar to Sigurd's Blood Rage and a massive attraction acting upon the Bloodline.
Especially the Blood Holy Scripture deep in her consciousness, its throbbing was most intense.
This was also the main source of the attraction Charlotte felt, that feeling... as if the source of these bloodline sensations were an excellent tonic for the Blood Holy Scripture.
This caused Charlotte's heart to stir slightly.
In the memories she had accessed from Sigurd, it was said that the Harcos Clan would kill the "Fallen Bloodline" members and seal or bury their bodies altogether. Could it be... that these unique rhythms originated from the graves of the "Fallen Bloodline"?
It was not impossible; when a Bloodline member died, their bloodline power would dissipate. If the Harcos Clan could not "Purify" the "Fallen" power of the Fallen Bloodline, they could only seal that "power" even after killing them.
"The force of Pollution that the Harcos Clan fears might, in fact, be a tonic for the Blood Holy Scripture. Perhaps... I could find an opportunity to explore the underground of the Harcos Holy Land."
Charlotte thought to herself.
Of course, although she was eager to feel the Blood Holy Scripture's resonance, Charlotte was fully aware of where she was.
This was the Harcos Clan's Holy Land, the territory of the Blood Prince, the Crimson Queen Royena. Even if she wanted to stir up trouble here, she first had to complete her meeting with Royena.
However, to Charlotte's surprise, after further bloodline sensing, she did not detect the presence of the Crimson Queen Royena.
Although the vast star representing the other party was also in Charlotte's Conscious Space, still blazing with a dazzling brilliance, Charlotte did not feel the palpitations that she would with other stars.
This discovery was somewhat unexpected.
From the memories she had read from Sigurd, the Crimson Queen Royena was always "in seclusion" deep within the Queen's Palace.
In other words, Royena should have always been in the Holy Land.
But Charlotte could sense the breath of even the slumbering Bloodline members, yet she conspicuously failed to sense the Crimson Queen's presence.
That was thought-provoking.
Charlotte could think of two reasons.
This indicated either that Royena's strength was far beyond Charlotte's, and when She deliberately concealed Her presence, Charlotte simply could not sense Her existence.
Or... the memories she had read were incorrect, or rather, Sigurd's perception was inaccurate, and the Crimson Queen Royena was not within the "Holy Land."
This was not impossible, after all... she had learned from members of the Harcos Clan that the Crimson Queen Royena had not appeared in person for almost three hundred years.
Charlotte did not know which possibility it was.
But no matter which it was... to be frank, neither was what she hoped to see.
Especially the second possibility.
Perhaps it was the aftereffects brought by the Stargazer Cosy, but she always thought of the light sphere that represented Cosy and the strange stone door that appeared after losing its "disguise," as well as the eerie call for help that came from behind the door.
"Perhaps... after I meet the Harcos Clan's spokesperson, I can try to probe a little."
Charlotte thought to herself.
And just as Charlotte was contemplating her next move, the palace doors suddenly opened.
Charlotte's heart stirred, and she turned to look at the palace doors, only to see Sofia following an elderly woman as she walked out.
The elderly woman performed an ancient Bloodline courtesy to Charlotte, and then smiled, saying,
"Saintess of the Creator God, descendant of the Kilari of the Royal Authority Family, Queen of the Falling Star and Lord of Castel... Queen Charlotte de Castel—"
"I am Margo Harcos of the Harcos Clan, the Great Prophet, and I welcome your visit here."
Legendary...
Sensing the powerful aura emanating from the elderly woman, Charlotte's expression became serious.
But quickly, she realized there was something not quite right with the other party's title.
Wait...
The Saintess of the Creator God, and... the descendant of the Kilari?
