Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel
Chapter 768 768: -19- You... are still too weak_2
Beneath her, a severed tentacle continued to wriggle on the ground, rapidly disintegrating.
She turned her head and met the Great Prophet's gaze, her golden-red pupils faintly tinged with a hint of disappointment:
"Great Prophet, are you... giving up?"
Her voice remained crisp and pleasant.
Yet, it carried an authority that was wholly incongruous with her youthful appearance.
More than that, her voice seemed imbued with a strange power; though she was questioning, the sound echoed in the heart of the Great Prophet Margo like the sonorous toll of a bell.
Great Prophet Margo felt the whispers that beckoned her to "fall" swiftly dispel, and her rampant Bloodline Power seemed to slow.
Watching Charlotte, who was completely unfazed by the "monster's" disturbance, Great Prophet Margo realized something. Like grasping at a lifeline, she quickly begged:
"Charlotte... Your Majesty, no, Divine Envoy!"
"Please save the Harcos Clan! Please save our kin who have not fully fallen!"
"The ritual isn't over; the final step remains! If... if it's you, perhaps you can suppress Him!"
"Be it the Holy Royal Court or the God of Judgement, it doesn't matter which God you serve; if you can save our clan from this disaster, I am willing to persuade the surviving clan members to submit to the God behind you!"
After listening to Great Prophet Margo, Charlotte's expression became inscrutable:
"Oh? Great Prophet Margo, it sounds... as if you're ready to abandon your faith in the 'Crimson Queen'?"
Great Prophet Margo looked somber.
She glanced at the increasingly ferocious monster, closed her eyes in pain, and gave a bitter smile:
"Queen... has fallen."
"I should have told myself that something was wrong with the Queen the moment Her Oracles began to blur three hundred years ago."
"The Queen did not overcome the fallen consciousness in Her heart; the Queen... was no longer the Queen."
"It's my fault, all my fault. The Queen had told me before Her assault on True Godhood that if any problem arose, I should cut ties with Her at once and lead our people away from the Holy Land, seeking a new refuge."
"But I ultimately refused to believe in Her transformation..."
"I was deceiving myself, clinging to the last hope that the ritual could reawaken the true Queen..."
"I was ignorant, and... I was too arrogant."
Charlotte sighed:
"I never imagined there was such a hidden story..."
"If so, you were indeed too arrogant. You failed to follow through with the Oracle of the Gods, no wonder it led to the decline of the Harcos Clan."
With that, Charlotte reached out and gently patted Great Prophet Margo's shoulder, speaking calmly:
"Great Prophet, remember the words you've spoken today."
A gentle power flowed from the shoulder into the body of the Great Prophet.
To her astonishment, Great Prophet Margo discovered that the increasingly chaotic Bloodline Power within her, as if receiving orders from a higher Rank, began to settle rapidly.
Not only that, but her mutated body also started to slowly revert to normal; tentacles degenerated back into arms, and the boils on her skin receded one by one.
"This... What kind of power is this...!"
She stared in disbelief, her eyes widening as she involuntarily turned to Charlotte, her pupils filled with shock.
But Charlotte had already turned again, walking towards the "monster," now swollen like a mountain.
A crimson glow blossomed around her, and a faint aura of might rose from her, growing stronger.
She took steps, light flashing beneath her feet, ascending toward the sky.
With each step, she grew taller; with every step, her hair grew longer...
Gradually, her golden hair turned into splendid silver, and her petite figure became graceful and commanding.
The Elf-enchanted skirt armor seemed to transform unnoticed, replaced by a black Divine Robe coalesced from Divine Power, adorned with Thorns and Roses.
An ethereal and fleeting voice carried on the wind to Great Prophet Margo's ears, resonant and captivating, laden with supreme authority:
"Additionally, I must clarify—"
"I never said that I was a Divine Favored of the Holy Royal Court."
Finishing her words, Charlotte gently raised the Roman Sword in her hand.
Golden light swirled in her pupils, her body shone brilliantly, her presence climbed even higher.
The next moment, a voice, ethereal and indifferent, resounded in this realm of a different space:
"Blood Divine Domain—Activate!"
A dazzling radiance erupted, and a crimson beam of light shot up into the sky from the Roman Sword.
Formidable Divine Mighty radiated from Charlotte as the center, like a surging tsunami, accompanied by the mysterious crimson mist.
The mist spread rapidly, covering the entire different space like ripples, casting a layer of mystery on the already dark red world, as if washed in fresh blood.
Gazing at the graceful and majestic figure in the sky, feeling the exuberant cheering of the Bloodline Power within, ancient memories also slowly resurged in the depths of the Great Prophet Margo's consciousness.
Under that irresistible supreme Divine Mighty, she struggled to lift her head, looking unbelievingly at the "female deity" in the sky, her voice trembling:
"The Blood Divine Domain, the power of the Ancestor..."
"How is this possible?!"
"You... No, are you... You actually are...!"
The wild wind blew through Charlotte's silver hair, burying the Great Prophet Margo's incredulous exclamation within the wind.
Charlotte stood midair.
With the Roman Sword in hand, Divine Power surged around her as she looked down from a height at the "Monster" resembling a mountain.
The "Monster", having devoured countless Blood Demons and Bloodline, had grown even more massive, its height surpassing the mountains within this different space.
Its tentacles writhed incessantly, smashing the Harcos Holy Land's castles like sweeping rubbish, everything existing here seemed like toys that could be easily destroyed in Its presence.
Charlotte's gaze was like an ancient well without ripples.
Divine light shimmered on her body, and her entire being appeared elusive and mysterious.
That was the manifestation of the Divine Power's outbreak.
"Roar—!"
On the ground below, the sinister "Monster" issued an unsettling roar.
With a bellow, all Its tentacles rocketed upwards, heading straight for Charlotte.
Charlotte's expression remained calm.
She lightly raised the Roman Sword, which was surrounded by Divine Power, uttering a joyous sword hum.
In an instant, as she raised her hand and the sword fell, a streak of crimson sword light sliced through the air.
In the blink of an eye, the entire world was streaked with a shining crimson line.
The thin line spread rapidly and widened, like thunder cleaving the sky, turning into a crimson beam of light that pierced the earth, severing several layers of distant mountains and splitting the entire citadel complex of Harcos in two, leaving behind a nearly hundred-meter-wide chasm, unfathomable in its depth...
A single sword strike.
Just one.
The "Monster" had its several hundred sinister tentacles completely severed, and at the cut, crimson flames burned incessantly.
"Roar...!"
The "Monster" let out a painful roar, and a hint of human-like fear appeared on its ferocious face.
It slowly backed away, starting to retreat from Charlotte's direction.
"Heh, trying to escape?"
Charlotte let out a snort of derision.
She pressed down with her left hand, and once again, a surge of crimson Blood Divine Power erupted from her body.
The Blood Divine Power spread, covering the sky, and then turned into a red prison, engulfing the "Monster" within.
Golden crimson chains materialized, flying from all directions at the "Monster," and in an instant it was completely immobilized.
"Roar...!"
The Monster once again uttered an uneasy roar, but could no longer struggle free.
Charlotte looked down at the "Monster" from her vantage point.
She shook her head slightly, speaking with a touch of disappointment:
"Forcefully aggregated power is, after all, just that—forcefully aggregated."
"Compared to the hated and Fallen God Adora, you... are still far too weak."
"Regurgitate all those beings you've Devoured."
