Chapter 231: Chapter 125 Trust and Departure
“After you arrive at White Stone Castle, you should find a Level 3 Wizard named Ethan Turt. The Tuer family is a well-known wizard family in White Stone Castle, so it shouldn’t be hard to locate them…”
Kosti said, a flash of white from beneath her magic robe flew out, flapping its wings and floating toward Ronan, like a white dove.
When it landed in Ronan’s hand, he looked down and realized it was a letter, sealed with silver wax and Kosti’s unique spell imprint as the stamp.
“Even though Ethan and I have lost touch and haven’t visited each other for a long time, our friendship remains. Take this introduction letter to him, and if you offer enough compensation, he will arrange everything for you properly….”
“Everything you might need is in the storage pouch I just gave you. In three days, the Third Magic Ring will have a ship heading to White Stone Castle. It takes twenty days by ship from the Magic Ring to White Stone Castle. If all goes well, you should be able to return soon….”
Kosti paused, then continued, “But regardless of success or failure on this trip, you need to return promptly. You can stay in White Stone Castle for at most two and a half months; otherwise, you will miss the opportunity to join the first group exploring the Mirror Court…”
“Understood.”
Ronan nodded and put away the letter from Kosti.
He left Kosti’s place and returned to his own residence.
The Life Tower Department’s efficiency was high, as the crystal window in Ronan’s room had been repaired.
Sitting by the giant crystal floor-to-ceiling window, Ronan took out the two items Kosti had given him. The letter could not be unsealed, so he opened the storage pouch to have a look.
The resources necessary for advancing to Level 2 were all abundant and more than sufficient, with a surplus three times more than Ronan had expected.
In addition, there was a pile of magic tool components emitting rune fluctuations, meant for constructing temporary rune formations.
Ronan counted them, and there were eight complete sets for different functions and effects of rune formations.
All were prepared by Kosti for things he might need on this solo trip.
Holding the storage pouch full of items, Ronan felt a strong sense of “biological mother-like” care.
Oh no, describing Kosti as a “biological mother” wasn’t quite fitting, even though her age was probably more than enough to be Ronan’s great-grandmother, he felt that calling her “sister-like” was more appropriate.
Putting away the things given by Kosti, Ronan’s eyes flashed slightly, and then he took a square metal box out of his own space ring.
Opening it, inside was just a snow-white letter, seemingly exuding a slight chill.
This was the box he had obtained from Linus, containing the “Newbie Inheritance Gift Package” for a Level 1 Ice Wizard.
Everything else in the box had been used by Ronan, leaving only this letter.
[Dear Soraya,
When you read this letter, I should already be dead….]
Ronan read the letter again, then gently closed it.
He picked up the envelope, his fair and slender fingers sliding slowly over the envelope, cool like ice flakes, until finally…. on the back of the envelope, he found some small words—White Stone Ridge.
“If the address on this envelope—White Stone Ridge—is the White Stone Castle Kosti mentioned…”
Gazing at the empty and quiet sky outside the window, Ronan murmured softly, “Isn’t that… a coincidence?”
…
In the mini secret realm space, a dignified middle-aged man with snow-white temples was half-squatting in a lush plant magic medicine garden, attending to something.
As he dusted off his hands and walked out of the nursery, his actions and footsteps suddenly froze unknowingly.
In his sight appeared a young man, standing quietly dozens of meters away, watching him.
Their eyes met, and after a moment of silence, the dignified middle-aged man spoke slowly, “Everyone has their own secrets, but I didn’t expect you to have so many secrets kept from me..”
The young man shook his head, a helpless smile on his young and handsome face.
“Benny, after more than ten days without seeing each other, the first thing you say to a friend is to question them?”
The dignified middle-aged man was slightly taken aback, and quickly, his eyes softened, speaking in a low voice that only he could hear.
“Welcome back.. Damien.”
…
“White Stone Castle..”
After listening to Ronan’s explanation, Benny’s face showed no surprise, and instead, he spoke calmly, “The Ring Master’s suggestion is very considerate.
Even if she hadn’t mentioned it, I would have suggested that you go when you’re about to advance to Level 2, or when you’re about to reach the intermediate Level 2 stage.”
“Why those two points?”
Ronan couldn’t help furrowing his brow.
“Because the famous ice talent transplant technology of White Stone Castle only works when you form a spiritual power crystal… besides these points, the only way to undergo a talent transplant is to shatter and reshape an already formed spiritual power crystal, and no one would do something so foolish…”
Benny explained calmly, “When you arrive at White Stone Castle and find someone willing to perform the talent transplant for you, they will naturally give you detailed explanations.”
Ronan noticed Benny mentioned “talent transplant technology,” not “bloodline transplant,” suggesting the technology at White Stone Castle might be weaker than he had imagined.
“In terms of cultivation, the Ring Master’s advice and arrangements for you are much better than mine. You just need to follow her guidance.”
