CHAPTER 167: INTENSE BLOODLUST AND EVOLVING TRAIT (PART 2)

While talking to Elyara on the spaceship on their way to the Flato Solar System, Azrael felt his trust toward her slowly increasing on its own.

For other people, this might have been a normal occurrence. Elyara was strong, carried herself with confidence, and possessed a beautiful face along with an excellent figure. It was natural for people, especially those of the opposite gender to feel attracted to her.

However, to Azrael, it was nothing less than absurd. For him, the mere fact that he began to trust someone—even slightly, after only speaking with them for a few minutes was the most ridiculous thing imaginable.

He was naturally wary of others, and on top of that, his Cold Blooded trait made it even more difficult for him to place trust in anyone.

Yet, during their brief conversation on the spaceship—where Elyara had spoken only a few sentences, casually asking what he was doing and whether he had a plan to locate the hideout of the Transcendent Organization, he realized that he had already started to trust her. (Chap—157)

At first, he considered the possibility that she might be using a spiritual skill to manipulate his thoughts and make him more inclined to trust her. But he soon dismissed the idea, as his Rune of Spirit had shown no reaction.

The second effect of the Rune of Spirit allowed him to defend himself against a spiritual attack once a day, provided the attacker was not two ranks above him.

Since his rune did not respond when his thoughts toward Elyara began to change, it became clear that she was not using any spiritual skill on him.

This realization led him to another conclusion—the change in his perception of her was something natural.

It was as if she was born with an overwhelming charisma that could draw people toward her and naturally increase their trust in her. And that could only mean one thing: it had to be a trait.

After reaching that deduction, when Azrael looked at Elyara again, his Infinite Comprehension trait finally caught something.

Upon closer inspection, he noticed that Elyara was constantly surrounded by a natural aura—an aura that seemed like an embodiment of Nature itself. It radiated a subtle warmth that made people feel at ease while speaking to her, unconsciously causing them to trust her more.

As Azrael recalled that aura of Nature and simultaneously considered how she had been able to locate the Epic-level warrior of the Transcendent Organization who was in Lorato City, a sudden guess formed in his mind.

"If I am not wrong, your trait not only surrounds you with a natural aura that makes people feel more comfortable when speaking to you, but it also allows you to communicate with elements of nature such as trees, birds, small animals, and similar things. Isn’t that right?"

Hearing Azrael’s words, Elyara froze and a chill ran down her spine as she stared at him in shock.

She had already been stunned when he revealed that he knew the location of the Transcendent Organization’s hideout, but this was something else entirely.

She could understand how he might have noticed the natural aura of her trait—after all, he had experienced its effects firsthand on the spaceship. But she had never once told him, nor demonstrated in front of him, the second effect of her trait so she couldn’t understand how he possibly knew about it?

"You... how did you know about that?" She asked, her eyes wide with disbelief. But soon, however, her expression darkened. "Don’t tell me you’ve been spying on me this whole time."

As Elyara spoke, her suspicion deepened. She remembered how Azrael had already known that the reason she had called him here was because of the Epic-level warrior from the Transcendent Organization and the more she thought about it, the more convinced she became that he might have been secretly watching her all along.

"First of all, I have no interest in spying on you," Azrael replied indifferently. "Second, it was simply a guess of mine that your trait allows you to communicate with nature. Considering your trait was capable of influencing my emotions, its grade must be quite high. And traits of higher grade usually have more than one effect."

Azrael glanced at her from the corner of his eyes.

"You managed to discover that Epic-level warrior in Lorato City while staying at a hotel more than two thousand kilometers away. As a Class-level warrior, it would be impossible for you to use any skill that could allow you to survey a city from such a distance and pinpoint that man’s location. That only leaves us with two possibilities. First, you might possess an artifact that enabled you to find him. Second, someone told you about him."

Azrael paused for a moment, then turned his head and looked directly into her eyes.

"Considering the natural aura around you, and knowing your trait isn’t of a low grade, I simply guessed that you might be able to converse with birds, trees, and other manifestations of nature. It’s possible they were the ones who provided you a clue about that man. And your reaction to my words just now has confirmed my guess."

Elyara stared at Azrael, utterly dumbfounded, her expression making it clear that she felt as though she was looking at a monster.

Even Luo Bingqing, who had been sitting with his eyes closed while listening quietly, couldn’t help but tremble slightly, feeling a deep shock run through him.

"You managed to deduce all of that just from such simple clues?" Elyara asked in disbelief, her voice trembling.

She could hardly believe it and suspected that he was lying to her and must have planted some kind of spying device on her.

But Azrael did not bother responding to her question. To him, those small clues were more than sufficient to form hundreds of possible deductions.

Instead, having now confirmed that she truly could communicate with natural entities like birds and trees, he made a decision.

"The hideout of the Transcendent Organization is located in the Rolivia Forest. Do you think you can pinpoint its exact position by communicating with the trees, birds, animals, and other things within that forest?"
