CHAPTER 168: INTENSE BLOODLUST AND EVOLVING TRAIT (PART 3)

"The hideout of the Transcendent Organization is located in the Rolivia Forest. Do you think you can pinpoint its exact position by communicating with the trees, birds, animals, and other living things within that forest?"

Hearing Azrael’s question, Elyara was honestly at a loss for words. The things that had happened in the short span of a few minutes since Azrael arrived were far too much for her to process.

Not only had he captured a member of the Transcendent Organization and discovered the location of their hideout, but he had also somehow managed to deduce most of the aspects of her trait.

She took a deep breath to calm her disturbed state of mind before finally speaking.

"Are you sure their hideout is somewhere in Rolivia Forest?"

"The person I caught told me it’s there, so it should be," Azrael responded calmly.

"What if he was lying to you?" She asked again.

"I have my own way of determining whether someone is lying or not," Azrael said as he looked directly at her. "Besides, if he had lied, the curse that the Transcendent Organization placed on him wouldn’t have been triggered."

Elyara was taken aback when she heard Azrael’s words. She had assumed he had somehow managed to remove the curse from the person he had captured, and that was how he had successfully obtained information about the Transcendent Organization.

But from his words, it seemed he hadn’t removed the curse at all. Instead, the person who had provided him information about the organization had died because of the curse.

Elyara thought for a moment before nodding. "You are right. I can communicate with natural beings such as trees, birds, and other creatures. If their hideout is truly inside a forest, it won’t be difficult for me to find it."

"Since we already know the location of their hideout, then what should we do with this Epic-level guy?" Luo Bingqing, who was monitoring the Epic-level warrior of the Transcendent Organization asked without opening his eyes.

"Should we call Major Glen and let him handle it?" Elyara suggested.

Azrael thought for a moment before nodding his head.

"You two said he has a token that would allow us to bypass the protective formation of their hideout," He said, sending a message to Glen as he spoke. "Let’s secure that token first before heading to Rolivia Forest."

"Do we really need to wait for Major Glen and the security force?" Luo Bingqing asked. "This guy only recently reached Epic-level. He’s just level 26. If we work together, I believe we can take him down in no time."

Azrael did not deny Luo Bingqing’s words and nodded slightly.

"You’re right, we can indeed take him down without Glen or the security forces," Azrael admitted as he sat down on a chair. "But are you certain we can handle him without causing a disturbance? What if he realizes he cannot escape and begins using his skills recklessly? Most of the people in New Port City are ordinary civilians. If an Epic-level warrior goes on a complete rampage without caring about consequences, there’s a high chance many people will die. And in the aftermath, the security forces might put the blame on us, saying it all happened because we acted rashly."

Azrael paused before continuing.

"That’s why, instead of taking matters into our own hands, we should let Glen and the security forces deal with it. After all, they have far more experience in handling situations like this."

Luo Bingqing fell silent after hearing Azrael’s reasoning before eventually nodding.

"I see. I apologize for being rash."

Azrael simply nodded in response before glancing at Glen’s reply, which informed him that they would be arriving in New Port City within an hour.

In truth, there was another reason Azrael had chosen to call Glen and the security forces instead of taking down the Epic-level warrior themselves.

With all three of them working together, Azrael was one hundred percent certain they could take him down without too much trouble.

However, the problem lay elsewhere.

’What if this guy turns out to be a vessel of corruption, like the ones I encountered during my Eonrift Trial?’

Azrael had received the task of finding traces of the Enders, and if the Transcendent Organization was truly connected to them, then the chances of their members being vessels of corruption increased dramatically.

He had witnessed with his own eyes how people who became vessels of corruption displayed power far beyond their actual level. On top of that, they lost all sanity, attacking everything in sight indiscriminately.

If this Epic-level warrior turned out to be the same, it would be nearly impossible for them to defeat him without affecting the city. This was precisely why Azrael decided to leave the matter in Glen’s hands.

’If this Epic-level warrior really is a vessel of corruption, then my suspicion that the Transcendent Organization is connected to the Enders will be confirmed,’ Azrael thought to himself, his eyes gleaming.

Elyara looked at Azrael, and seeing the calculating gleam in his eyes, she couldn’t help but frown.

’I always feel like this guy’s mind is constantly scheming something,’ She thought inwardly before sitting down on another chair.

Time passed, and one and a half hours later, Azrael, Luo Bingqing, and Elyara left the hotel, heading toward the harbor.

"They arrived half an hour ago and will take action in five minutes," Luo Bingqing said as a small bird made of ice perched on his shoulder.

"How many people are there?" Azrael asked.

"Other than Major Glen, there are fifteen members of the security forces. Five are Class-level beings, while the rest are still Apprentice Warriors."

Luo Bingqing paused before adding.

"But they’ve brought some equipment with them and completely isolated the area. Even if that Epic-level warrior tried to escape into the populated part of the city to pressure the security forces, he wouldn’t be able to."

"It seems we won’t have to do anything then," Elyara commented lightly.

A few minutes later, the three of them stood atop a building, looking from a distance at an isolated house near the harbor.

Azrael could see Glen and the security forces stealthily surrounding the house, each member carrying an electromagnetic-type gun that looked quite powerful.

’I wonder if this guy will turn out to be connected to the Enders or not...’
