"98 points, huh..." Azrael looked at his Spirit stat and nodded thoughtfully.

Although his Spirit stat was far lower than his other stats, in reality, it was actually quite good compared to other Class-level warriors at Level 25.

According to Azrael’s estimation, even someone like Luo Bingqing or Elyara, who were also at Level 25, would have only around fifty or so Spirit points at this stage.

Azrael tried adding one point from his free stat pool into Spirit, and instantly, the number rose to 99.

"This is really magical..." Azrael muttered as his gaze shifted to the section displaying his Causality Points.

He recalled the energy that had enveloped him earlier, the one that felt similar to the power of the World itself, and now he was even more certain that he had obtained those Causality Points because of using the Absolute Decree skill.

"Earlier, I felt that power somehow remolded my soul and connected it with my core..." He murmured while rubbing his chin, wondering why that mysterious force had linked his soul to his core.

’Is the status window people see related to their source core? And to make the Spirit stat available, was it necessary to connect it with the core?’

This thought crossed Azrael’s mind, and he felt that his guess was likely correct. Suddenly, another idea struck him, and his expression turned serious.

"Now that my soul is connected to my core... can I increase its strength rapidly by cultivating my source core as well?"

Azrael immediately decided to give it a try, but then remembered that he was already at the peak of the Class Rank and needed to break through to the Epic Rank if he wanted to test it properly.

If he cultivated his source core now, it would only accumulate the power meant for his breakthrough to the Epic Rank, which was pointless since he planned to use a potion to advance instead of spending months grinding for it.

Although the absorbed energy also contributed slightly to Spirit, the growth was negligible compared to the other attributes.

But now that he had unlocked the Spirit stat, Azrael wondered if he would be able to increase it directly by killing creatures inside the Eonrift.

After all, his soul was now connected to his core, and the energy absorbed from slain creatures inside the Eonrift was processed by the source core. Since his soul was now linked with it, shouldn’t it also receive some of that energy’s benefits?

"I really want to go inside the Eonrift right away..." Azrael muttered, feeling his palm itch in anticipation. However, he knew he couldn’t go yet, not until he had broken through to the Epic Rank.

He took a few deep breaths to calm his excitement and finally decided to use thirty-two of his free stat points to raise his Spirit stat to 130.

As he allocated the points, a warm sensation once again spread through his entire being. His mind felt clearer than before, his senses sharper, and his spiritual power had increased greatly.

Azrael glanced at his remaining free stat points and decided to keep them reserved for emergencies.

To test his newly enhanced spiritual power, he closed his eyes and activated the Breathing Method.

Instantly, he found himself within a pitch-black space surrounded by countless glowing stars, as if he were standing in the depths of outer space amidst endless galaxies.

Azrael gazed at the radiant stars, which represented the energy veins within his body, and using Infinite Comprehension, he quickly identified the position of a primary energy vein.

Because he had already located most of the primary energy veins, it didn’t take him long to detect the position of another one, and he immediately appeared above it.

He began refining the energy vein and discovered that the process was significantly easier than before.

He estimated that if he focused on refining the primary energy veins over the coming days, it would take him only about three or four months to elevate the Breathing Method from the mid level to the high level.

After confirming the notable improvement in his spiritual power, Azrael ceased refining the energy vein and opened his eyes.

"Once I level up the Breathing Method, I’ll receive another major boost to my overall strength..." He murmured under his breath before sighing softly.

"It’s a pity that I can’t convert Causality Points directly into stat points. Otherwise..." He shook his head, letting the thought trail off.

Back on the spaceship, Azrael had attempted to wish for the ability to convert some of his Causality Points into stat points, thinking it would allow him to gain a vast number of free stats.

After all, in his view, Causality Points were far superior to ordinary stat points. He had imagined that he might be able to exchange a single Causality Point for three or even five stat points.

However, the notification he received had stated that such a wish couldn’t be fulfilled, which had greatly disappointed him.

"Well, that wish was indeed too unreasonable," He muttered with a faint, wry smile. "If I could’ve turned one Causality Point into five or even three stat points, I would’ve gained at least 300 free stat points in exchange for just 100 Causality Points..."

Thinking about how absurdly overpowered he would have become with such a conversion, Azrael smiled wryly to himself and chose not to dwell on it any further.
