Chapter 408: Admiration To Hate
CHAPTER 408: CHAPTER 408: ADMIRATION TO HATE
That day, something inside Kaylee broke. She had admired Adriana for so long.
She had looked up to her, dreamed of being like her.
But after that terrible incident with Henry, her admiration turned into hatred.
She felt betrayed, humiliated, and misunderstood. Every step she took from that day was fueled by anger.
Kaylee threw herself into her studies and into fashion.
She wanted to become someone important, someone who could not be ignored.
She opened her own brand, slowly building it from nothing.
She worked day and night, designing, learning, and making connections.
Soon, her name started to be known in the fashion world. People admired her designs, and she slowly became a serious competitor to Adriana.
When Kaylee learned where Adriana was and what had happened to her, she felt a thrill of excitement.
Adriana had completely lost Henry, and the debts she had accumulated were overwhelming.
Kaylee had waited for this moment for a long time.
She felt like fate had given her the perfect opportunity to finally show Adriana what she had suffered, what she had lost.
Kaylee humiliated Adriana in front of everyone she could. She did not hold back.
Her words were sharp, her actions calculated. It was to the point that everyone knew Kaylee was Adriana’s mortal enemy.
But then, as time went on, Kaylee faced her own struggles.
She encountered obstacles that she had not anticipated.
Slowly, she began to realize that Adriana had not caused her troubles.
It was Henry who had been at fault all along. For the first time, Kaylee’s anger started to fade.
She began to think, to question her actions, and she felt a little regret. She wanted to approach Adriana, to apologize in her own way, to try to make amends.
By the time she made that decision, Adriana had changed.
The pressure, the humiliation, and the stress had turned her into someone completely different.
She was no longer the Adriana Kaylee had admired or envied.
She had become unpredictable, irrational, and in some ways, almost insane.
Kaylee watched from a distance as Adriana slowly transformed into a person she could no longer recognize.
She realized that nothing she did now could bring Adriana back. She gave up on that hope and focused on herself and her own future.
Aurora watched Kaylee as she recalled the story in her mind.
She paused, considering what to do. Kaylee had been Adriana’s mortal enemy, but now she was a person who could change the direction of the story.
Aurora knew that if she helped Kaylee now, she could turn her into an ally, someone who could work with her rather than against her.
Aurora smiled faintly and gestured for Kaylee to follow her. Kaylee nodded, trusting her, and they began to walk away.
Diana, however, was not willing to let them go so easily. Her face twisted in fury as she pointed at Kaylee.
"If you don’t leave now, I will make sure you don’t stay in this elite high school!" she shouted.
Kaylee froze at the words, her face showing a hint of fear. Aurora, however, turned calmly to Diana, her eyes sharp and steady.
"I would like to see who will try to kick her out," she said. Her voice was quiet but carried a certainty that made Diana hesitate.
Diana laughed, a cold and mocking sound.
"You will lose, Aurora. I have a father on the school board. You can do anything to her."
Aurora chuckled lightly. "In that case, I will make sure Kaylee goes to an elite university and opens her own fashion brand," she said confidently.
"She is talented enough, and I can help her achieve it."
Diana looked at her, shocked and curious. "You really think you can do that?" she asked.
Aurora smiled faintly. "I know I can."
Diana’s friends started laughing, some pointing at Kaylee and saying,
"If she can become a fashion designer, then we will climb trees and hang upside down!"
Aurora looked at them and chuckled. "Then maybe you should try it," she said.
The laughter grew louder, but Kaylee clenched her fists, her face set in determination.
She did not answer them. She understood who she was now and what she wanted.
Aurora looked at the group, her calm eyes steady.
"I’m not lying. I can prove what I say," she said firmly. "Does anyone want to bet against me?"
The group laughed even louder. "Aurora should become a stand-up comedian with jokes like this," one of them said mockingly.
Aurora paused and shook her head. "I don’t have talent for stand-up comedy," she said. "But I can make sure your smiles get wiped out."
For a moment, silence fell over the group. Then Diana stepped forward, her eyes narrowing.
"No one here will stop smiling. I will make sure of it," she said in a challenging tone.
Her friends exhaled, feeling relieved. Some of them began to mock Aurora, trying to bring her down with words.
Diana’s eyes remained sharp. She looked at Aurora and scoffed.
"Do you really think you understand how much money it takes to sponsor someone? Your father earns barely over a million. That is not enough to make sure Kaylee can start a brand. Do you even understand how capital works?"
Aurora nodded slowly.
"I understand. That is why I am here myself. If I fail, I will gladly leave this school."
The entire parking lot fell silent. Aurora’s confidence filled the space.
Everyone knew she was intelligent, talented, and dangerous in her own way. Her calm demeanor made them uneasy.
She was not just a student; she was someone who could take control of situations in ways they could not predict.
Diana glared at Aurora.
"I am not interested in making any bet," she said. "But one thing is clear: Kaylee will never become a fashion designer."
Diana’s friends laughed at Kaylee, pointing at her, trying to humiliate her.
But Kaylee’s fists clenched. Her jaw tightened. She would not let them see her fear.
Aurora turned to the group, her eyes steady.
"I am not lying. I have the power to make sure she succeeds. To prove it, I will bankrupt one of you."
