Iris realized what was going on, bent down and hugged Ezekiel, then kissed him.

“How did you get here? I was just about to take Zeke and Be to your ce.” Heriberto walked over holding Isabe and spoke softly to Iris.

“Mom.” Isabe leaned over and tried to throw herself into Iris’s arms.

Seeing this, Heriberto quickly took a big step forward and closed the distance between them.

Iris naturally took Isabe from his arms.

Just as she reached out to hug Isabe, her fingertips identally touched the back of Heriberto’s hand.

She quickly moved away, hugged Isabe, then took two quick steps to the side, putting some distance between them again.

Heriberto just felt a brief touch of gentleness, and when he saw her next deliberate move, the feeling of loss in his heart surged uncontrobly.

“Ira, how’s Nica? Did she wake up?” Rachel came over and asked.

Iris shook her head, “Let’s go.”

Rachel nodded. They were about to leave when they suddenly heard Meganughing and shouting, “Daughter–inw, the mother of my grandkids is my daughter–inw.”

She shouted and waved at Iris, imitating Isabe, and pleaded softly, “Daughter–inw, don’t go. Can you stay with Zeke and Be to keep mepany?”

Iris heard this and was stunned for a moment, looking at Megan in disbelief.

“My mom’s surgery was sessful, but her brain nerves were damaged. She not only lost her memory, but her mental level also became about the same as a six- or seven–year–old kid.”

Heriberto saw her reaction and exined to her softly.

Ezekiel and Isabe had been in the hospital room for over an hour.

During this hour or so, Charlie and the butler already made Megan understand that Ezekiel and Isabe were her grandchildren.

Not only that, Megan also had a great time with Ezekiel and Isabe.

“Mom, grandma got really sick and she’s not better yet. Should we stay a bit longer with her?” Ezekiel looked up at Iris and suggested.

Iris took a look at Heriberto, then looked at Ezekiel.

Charlie said he just really wanted Ezekiel and Isabe to stay a bit longer.

“Mom, grandma said she wanted to y with us, her head didn’t hurt anymore.” Isabe said again.

“Daughter–inw, you looked so pretty, prettier than everyone else here, I really liked you!” Megan stared at Iris and suddenly blurted this out.

Iris looked at her and was just kind of stunned.

Really, Megan suddenly lost her memory and turned into a six or seven–year–old kid. People were so warm and friendly to her, she just couldn’t get used to it.

“Mom, grandma said she likes you!” Isabe thought Iris didn’t hear it, so she softly reminded her.

Iris realized what was going on, shoved Isabe back into Heriberto’s arms, and told him, “Wait until Zeke and Be have had dinner, then bring them back.”

Megan’s huge change really threw her off, she had to go back and take a breather.

Heriberto picked up Isabe, then went to take Ezekiel’s hand. The corners of his mouth lifted a little and he nodded, saying, “Okay.”

Iris said goodbye to Ezekiel and Isabe, then turned and went into the elevator. Rachel followed her.
