    “Sir Steele, I’ll think about it and get back to you within three days,” Iris said, clearly not wanting to keep talking to Beckett.

    “Okay, okay, okay, I’ll wait for your good news,” Beckett said happily.

    He thought, Iris would definitely support him, because she had no

    reason not to.

    Chatted a bit more, hung up the phone, and Iris asked someone to get

    Jane.

    “Ms. Aguilera.”

    After Jane left, Iris thought about the jade pendant, grabbed her phone, opened the photos she took at Margaret’s ce, then went to get her grandma’s jade pendant andpared it with the one Aedan’s grandma wore around her neck.

    Except that one was carved with a dragon and the other with a phoenix, the two jade pendants looked exactly the same in size, shape, and material.

    They were all top–quality jade, pure white and translucent, smooth and glossy, and the carving was really delicate.

    If Iris guessed right, the other jade pendant should also have an “Aguilera” on it, plus the words “generation after generation.”

    As she spoke, she frowned a little and said, “I heard from Aedan that his grandma passed away years ago. It might not be that easy to look into. You could start with Aedan’s uncle.”
