Broken Possessors of Infinite Regression Academy
PAID Chapter 149
To be honest, it’s safe to say that the original versions of Aria and Leona, as known by Priscilla, Rosaria, or Laura, no longer exist. The person who influences Leona now has changed from Aria to me.
The original Leona was someone who, because Aria was the one always by her side, seemed so frustratingly naive to the point where it was painful to watch. She prioritized her role as a hero over her humanity, tried desperately to save as many people as possible, and even blamed herself for the deaths she couldn’t prevent.
But the Leona who is influenced by me is different.
She prioritizes herself as a human being over her role as a hero. While she naturally has a sense of duty, she doesn’t let it overwhelm her or cause her undue suffering. She focuses more on saving as many people as she can, without burdening herself with guilt.
There’s no real issue with this change. If the goddess didn’t approve of this mindset, she wouldn’t have awakened the Holy Sword for her or bestowed her power. It’s practically an implicit approval.
“How do you like it, Mira? Isn’t it beautiful? There are other spots, but this one is the biggest and the most scenic.”
“It’s a bit of a shame that it’s daytime. This place is full of fireflies at night, and it’s absolutely stunning. Maybe we could come back again at night if we get the chance?”
In other words, the Aria and Leona who had realized their feelings for each other as more than friends in this place no longer exist.
I watched as the two of them busily spread out a picnic blanket, shooing me off to the side as if to say, “Just sit quietly, guest.” There was no trace of feelings beyond those of long-time childhood friends in their actions.
Since I hadn’t read the original story or directly observed these two here, I could only rely on Priscilla’s perspective to explain what Aria and Leona might have felt or thought in this place.
‘Even Priscilla didn’t know everything, though.’@@novelbin@@
However, one thing was certain: the two of them were nothing more and nothing less than just childhood friends now.
“Huh? What’s wrong?”
