‘When will I finally arrive?’

I looked around the space made of light with a sense of unease. If I hadn’t been accustomed to the golden light, I might have arrived here completely mad, as everything in sight was bathed in nothing but gold.

I had insisted that it wasn’t necessary to meet in person, but the Goddess kept repeating that she would bring me to the Heavenly Realm, so I eventually relented. And here I was.

Even considering that, her actions felt excessively urgent.

Though she was a Goddess on the human side and had no reason to lure me into a trap, I accepted her offer cautiously. I had no intention of lowering my guard or letting go of my suspicions.

A sound that exuded a sense of holiness rang out as the golden light in front of me parted to either side, creating a path wide enough for a person to pass through. I took a step toward the light.

The Heavenly Realm I arrived in, however, looked no different from an ordinary rural village. It was so unassuming that it felt almost embarrassing to call it the Heavenly Realm.@@novelbin@@

It wouldn’t have seemed out of place if it were the village where Aria and Leona lived. The houses were simple wooden structures, the roads were made of dirt, and there were patches of grass and trees scattered haphazardly beside the houses.
