A month later.

Thump—!

Haru rubbed the back of his head and, bare-chested, he got up from the floor. He turned his head and, with a raised eyebrow, he shouted at Aoko, "Why did you kick me down again!!"

"Huh, Do you even need to ask. What were you doing in my room again last night." Aoko Aozaki yanked the bedsheet up to her chest, hiding her kiss-marked, flushed skin, and glared at him in outrage.

"Besides screwing you, what else could I be doing? Hasn’t it been like this for the past month?" Haru squatted on the floor and said with a speechless expression.

"The problem is, I have school today!!!"

Aoko grabbed the white pillow beneath her and began to violently smack his head. From the bulging veins on her slender arm, it was clear how furious she was.

"There’s nothing wrong with that, is there?" Haru pursed his lips and, ignoring her pillow attack, said with a straight face.

"The hickeys on my neck. How am I supposed to solve that!!" Aoko threw away the pillow, pointed to the lip prints on her neck, raised an eyebrow, and said with a humorless smile.

The thought of the first day of school, of her, the current student council president, about to be a third-year, displaying her rich nightlife before her juniors, seniors, and upperclassmen... she had the urge to slap him to death.

"...Well, you can just use some magic potion to hide it. Like how you hide the Magic Crest on your right arm," Haru said with a dead-fish-eyed, speechless look at Aoko.

After being buried in his library by Alice for a whole winter break to cram magic knowledge, she had forgotten it in an instant. This ’forgetting’ talent was really something else.

"Eh... There’s a trick like that?" Aoko blinked and said with a dazed expression.

Haru looked at the Aoko who was playing dumb before him with a teasing expression, and was just short of letting out a laugh of ridicule.

With his increasingly teasing gaze, Aoko’s face stiffened. She tossed her silky hair and, feigning composure, said, "I’m going to get dressed. Go get my potion."

"I’ll help you get dressed!!"

"Cut it out. Kissing my cheek won’t work. Use that on your daughters!!"

Aoko and Haru’s one-sided argument continued to echo in the room.

In the dining room of the Kuonji residence.

Touko Aozaki sat in a birch-backed chair, a cup of freshly-brewed English tea in one hand, a grimoire in the other, and was quietly reading.

Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!

With hurried footsteps, Aoko, in her school uniform, her hair still slightly disheveled, her face slightly flushed, rushed into the room.

"The sandwiches are in the kitchen warmer," Touko said without looking up.

Aoko turned and walked straight towards the kitchen. As she walked, she raised an eyebrow and, as if dissatisfied, said, "Haven’t you rolled back to the English Clock Tower to inherit that... what was it... Valualeta faction yet—"

"Hmm? Do you have time to argue with me? Don’t you have to give a speech as the student representative today?" Touko narrowed her eyes slightly and said with a puzzled expression.

The two, who had been fighting to the death a month ago, after the death of the old True Magic User, and after obtaining a certain notebook in his old magical workshop, their relationship had long since dissolved, replaced by this kind of constantly-bickering sisterly relationship.

"I’ll just have Haru teleport me later. That way, I’ll have another twenty minutes to spare," Aoko said, a piece of sandwich in her mouth, a cup of tea in her hand, her words muffled.

"You want to use magic to save time on your way to school? Just how much do you like school?" Touko said with a speechless expression.

"You don’t understand. After I graduate high school, I’m planning to see the world. How can I not enjoy my last school life? Also that... what was it... demon world and a bunch of God-Slayer worlds that Haru mentioned, I want to see them too. I’m a god now, right? It should be fun to fight with demons and God-Slayers?!!" Aoko muttered, planning her travel route.

"So, for the past month of playing, you didn’t refuse Haru, no matter what he wanted?" Touko’s lips curved into a faint smile, and she said with a teasing tone.

"...Are you looking for a fight?" Aoko’s eyelid twitched, and her face flushed slightly. She looked at Touko with a look that could kill.

"Forget it. Since you’re starting school, I’ll let you off the hook today," Touko said, taking a sip of tea, her tone flat.

"Hmph!" Aoko snorted with dissatisfaction and sat down opposite Touko, chewing on her sandwich and drinking her tea, enjoying a rare breakfast time.

"Speaking of which, after I learned what the Root is from Haru, I’m also planning to travel," Touko said, closing her book, her expression flat.

"Huh, then won’t it be just Alice and Haru at home? A world for two?!!" Aoko was slightly taken aback and said with a look of astonishment.

"Not likely. Those cheap daughters of ours are not easy to deal with," Touko said with a teasing tone.

"Are you really not trying to pick a fight?" Aoko’s eyelid twitched. To have a few girls who called her ’mom’ out of the blue was a sore spot for her.

After experiencing a sixty-seven-year-old life last month, she was exceptionally sensitive about her age, to the point of obsession. Now, hearing Touko bring it up, she naturally thought she was being provoked.

"What do you think?" Touko gave her a provocative look.

"...You want me to fight with you, and then miss the school’s representative speech? I’ve seen through your scheme, my wicked sister!" Aoko swallowed her sandwich, drank a cup of tea, and looked at Touko with a look of disdain.

"Mm, Touko, you’re here too. But where’s Alice?" With the sound of his voice, Haru flickered and appeared in the dining room.

"Quick, quick, take me to school!!!" Aoko suddenly stood up and shouted at him urgently.

Clap clap!

Haru clapped his hands twice, and her figure suddenly vanished. After sending the girl who was in a hurry to school, he turned his head and looked at Touko, his eyes filled with a searching look.
