Chapter 57 Gu Changqing!
CHAPTER 57: CHAPTER 57 GU CHANGQING!
The door opened in no time.
The one who came out was Gu Anxi, smoothing her skirt. "Sorry, I was a bit too heavy-handed."
The manager was stunned. Was that a real fight? The people in there are incredibly important. If any of them got hurt, my life wouldn’t be enough to compensate!
Just as he was about to restrain Gu Anxi, a hoarse voice came from inside, "Don’t stop her, let her go."
The manager looked at Gu Anxi with some fear. Who on earth is this young lady? Even the boss is so wary of her!
Once Gu Anxi left, a young man emerged from the gloomy private room.
He wore a handcrafted formal suit, looking as if he had rushed over from a banquet. Tall and slender, with exceptionally fair skin, he was as handsome as a life-sized, meticulously crafted figurine.
Covering the corner of his mouth with one hand, he shot a glare at the manager. "What are you waiting for? Go get some ice!"
The manager immediately scurried off.
In the corridor, Gu Changqing squinted his narrow phoenix eyes, watching Gu Anxi’s departing figure. He then complained to the young man beside him, "Her temper is awful! Exactly like the Old Man’s."
Gu Qingcheng simply smiled. "She’s quite skilled."
Few people could get the better of Gu Changqing, let alone a young girl.
Gu Changqing clutched his face. "I was letting her win, alright?"
He huffed angrily again. That little brat! How many bad things has she done using the convenience of Di Se? Did she really think I wouldn’t know? Now that she’s found a better place, she just ups and leaves without a care!
His gaze hardened as he looked at his trusted subordinates. "If anyone leaks a single word about Gu Anxi, I’ll chop them up."
Gu Qingcheng was puzzled.
Gu Changqing sighed lightly. "Isn’t she living a pretty good life now?"
"But how will we answer to the Old Master?" Gu Qingcheng asked in a low voice.
Gu Changqing shot him a look. "It’s been so many years; it’s all water under the bridge."
He glared fiercely at his group of subordinates again. "Remember this: if any of you utter half a word, I’ll chop you up."
The dozen or so subordinates exchanged glances. Who would dare offend this master?
Gu Changqing, the future Family Head of the Gu family in Beicheng.
Unlike that person from the Bo Family, this man was not good-tempered. One second he could be smiling and praising you, and the next... he could chop you up.
In Beicheng, Gu Changqing had a nickname: the Smiling Tiger.
Today, the Smiling Tiger had suffered a loss for the first time.
And it was a loss he had to force himself to swallow.

Gu Anxi had walked dozens of meters away from Di Se when a few young hooligans began to stealthily follow her.
When their presence could no longer be ignored, Gu Anxi turned around.
The hooligans all froze, their legs trembling. The one in the lead was the same blond-haired guy from last time.
The blond held out a hand to stop his underlings. "Don’t be afraid!"
One of them, so scared he nearly wet his pants, cried out with a sob in his voice, "Boss, how can we not be scared? This chick fights way too viciously! Let’s run!"
"Run?" the blond scolded. "That would be spineless."
"Then what should we do, Boss?" a subordinate asked, trembling.
The blond puffed out his chest, trying to look imposing. "Now, learn from me."
His underlings nodded blankly.
As soon as the blond finished speaking, he dropped to his knees and clasped his hands together. "Heroine, spare our lives!"
His underlings were dumbstruck.
Even Gu Anxi was somewhat taken aback. She glanced at the blond, then turned and walked away.
The blond shuffled towards her on his knees. He wanted to hug her leg, but then he considered the heroine’s slender legs—that would be blasphemy against the goddess! So, he prostrated himself on the ground and grabbed her foot instead, crying, "Master, please take me as your pupil!"
His underlings all hung their heads.
This scene deeply scarred their souls; it was so... painfully awkward to watch.
