CHAPTER 46: ALL HOPE GONE!

Naomi was holding her phone, staring up at the window, wondering what she was going to do now?

She could be married to Edison tomorrow or the next day. Nobody knows, only her father and Edison know since they were the ones planning the wedding.

So, if they want the wedding to take place tomorrow then her time is running out.

Alpha Maxwell will never be able to help her.

So, it’s Zero then?

It doesn’t matter if they will kidnap her again and take her back to the facility, at least she will be reunited with her son. She can live anywhere as long as she is with her son.

As for Alpha Maxwell, sad to say he already had a son with Deborah. He already had his own little family. She only knew one thing: he didn’t like going back to the facility. Therefore even if he had to face such a choice, he would never go back to that place to be with her and their son.

But how about her? She was alone now. And the only thing that could make her happy was to be reunited with her son.

Her heart was filled with extreme sadness. Does it mean she is ready now to give up Alpha Maxwell?

She doesn’t want to but she has no choice.

She quickly unlocks her phone and sends a private message to Zero, asking him to reply to her message right away because she is in a dire situation.

She waited for about fifteen minutes before Zero finally came on line.

Zero: What can I do for you dear?

Naomi: Please help me!

Zero: Calm down, dear. What is the matter?

Naomi: I had a serious talk with my boyfriend Edison today and I told him everything but despite the truth, he still wanted to marry me. Unfortunately my father was behind all this.

Zero: Oh, that’s not good.

Naomi: Yes, my situation here is no longer good. I’m grounded, I can’t leave the house. When I try to leave the house the guard won’t open the gate saying that my father ordered him not to open the gate for me. Which means I could never escape. I could get married to Edison at any moment. They didn’t tell me the date of the wedding. They kept everything a secret from me. That is why I need your help.

Zero: Tell me how I can help you?

Naomi: Take me out of here. Please do it as soon as possible before my father succeeds in his plan. I’m ready now to leave everything behind and go back to the facility to be reunited with my son. But I don’t know how to escape from this place. They won’t allow me to leave.

Zero: So what kind of help do you need? Do you want us to bomb your house? Or set your house on fire? I can also send masked men to enter your house and kidnap you? So tell me what kind of help you want us to do? I can arrange for a vehicle to wait outside your house, so that when you get out of the gate we can whisk you away. I can arrange those things for you.

Naomi: I don’t know... I’m confused right now. My mind isn’t functioning well today. My heart is filled with anxiety and worry. All I know is that I want to leave our house now! But I don’t want your men to come here and destroy our house or hurt any members of my family. I just want to leave the house undetected.

Zero: Hmm, give me a moment to come up with better ideas about how we can get you out of your house safely. How about tonight? Can you leave through the back door of your house? I’ll assign some of my men to wait for you there. Let me know.

Naomi: The back door also had a guard stationed there. I know my father well. He will not allow any exits to the house unguarded.

Zero: I see... your father is indeed a very meticulous guy. So how are we going to get you out of your house? How about you give the guard some drinks mixed with sleeping pills or poison? Or maybe I should check Chat GPT for some fantastic escape ideas...

Naomi: Please stop joking around, Zero! I’m serious here. I have no sleeping pills to use. I won’t use poison on the guards’ drinks either, they are innocent!

Zero: I get you. I’m not joking, OK? I’m serious too about helping you. Just that my mind is also not giving me any excellent escape ideas at this moment. I’m sorry for my incompetence, dear.

Naomi: Don’t apologize, it’s not your fault. Just help me get out of here!

Zero: OK, OK, I hear you.

Naomi: Ugh, I can’t think anymore. I have a painful headache right now.

Zero: Hmm, let me think for a moment. Ah, I will inform management first about your intention of returning to the facility. And I will also mention that you need help to be able to leave your house safely. Maybe they can suggest better escape ideas for me.

Naomi: Please hurry up! Tell them now. I don’t want to stay in this house anymore.

Zero: Got it, I hear you dear. Give me a moment. Hold on to the line, I mean stay in chat with me. I’ll be in silent mode for a few minutes while communicating with management about your problem. So please relax and wait for my reply. It shouldn’t be long.

Naomi: Okay, please hurry up.

The chat went on still.

Naomi was holding her breath in suspense, waiting for Zero to chat again. Every minute that passes feels like a whole century of waiting.

Her hands were shaking due to anxiety. She put her phone on the bed and took a deep breath, trying to relax her tense self.

Suddenly, the door opened and Naomi’s father entered the room. He looked around the room and his eyes landed on his daughter’s mobile device.

Naomi rose to her feet and asked, "Why are you here, Dad?"

Alpha Thomas walked to the bed and picked up his daughter’s phone. "Did you contact someone? Are you still in contact with your lover Alpha Maxwell?" he asked.

"No, I’m not." Naomi shook her head. "Please give me back my phone, Dad," she begged.

Alpha Thomas’ eyes turned into slits. "From now on, you will have no phone anymore. I will keep this phone with me so that you can’t contact anyone from outside, especially your lover!"

"Dad, please give me back my phone!" Naomi was desperate to get her phone back because Zero might already have the solution to her problem.

Alpha Thomas shook his head, turning deaf ears to his daughter’s desperate plea.

She looked her father in the eyes, begging for his mercy. "Dad, please give me back my phone! I will give it to you tomorrow. Can I keep it just for tonight?" she pleaded, her tone filled with anguish.

Alpha Thomas remained unmoved. "Why? So you can contact your lover and beg him to rescue you? No way! You will marry Edison whether you like it or not. You might hate me for doing this, but as your father I know what’s best for you. One day you will be grateful to me for saving your reputation!" He said and left the room.

Naomi sat on the bed and started sobbing hard. Why did she forget to hide her phone? Why?

Stupid!

She hated herself for being careless. Now she had lost the only form of communication she had with the outside world. Zero must have been waiting for her right now, wondering why she suddenly went offline.

How can she inform Zero and Alpha Maxwell that her phone was confiscated by her father?

Such a disaster!

She needed to find a way to get her phone back ASAP!

But how?

She has no idea where her father hid her phone. It could be in his bedroom or study room.

Ah, tonight when everyone’s sleeping, she will search her father’s study room. She won’t stop unless she finds her phone. She needs to send a message to Zero and Alpha Maxwell.

If she can’t get her phone back, her chance of escape is over!

She bit her lower lip in agitation, pacing back and forth on the floor, trying to find a quick solution to her problem.

Agh!

She took a deep breath, lay down on the bed and closed her eyes, trying to relax.

Ah, she knows what to do to calm her tense nerves. A long shower!

She left the bed and went to the bathroom to take a long shower.

Half an hour later, she emerged from the bathroom door, feeling refreshed and energized.

She went to the dresser table and brushed her hair. After brushing her hair, she walked to the door, planning to go to the kitchen for some coffee fix. She is craving hot coffee right now.

She grabbed the door handle and tried opening the door but it wouldn’t budge.

What’s going on?

Her forehead knitted in confusion. Why can’t she open the door?

She tried again but failed to open the door despite several attempts. That’s when she finally realized in shock and horror — the door was locked from the outside!

Oh, shiit!

His father locked her inside her room!

Nooooo! This can’t be!

"Dad, why are you doing this to me? Why?" She shouted over and over again, her eyes swarmed with tears.

When her voice grew hoarse, she finally stopped shouting.

She lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling, feeling miserable and depressed.

All hope was gone from her face.
