CHAPTER 59: I MISS YOU!

At 9:00 in the evening Deborah was still loitering around Alpha Maxwell’s bedroom. Baby Zed sleeping peacefully on the king size bed.

"Aren’t you going back to your room now?" Alpha Maxwell asked.

"Why? You want me to leave the room so you can chat with your mistress?" she asked suspiciously.

"You already destroyed my phone. What more do you want?" He responded in an irate tone.

"I know you have a new phone given to you by your grandma. Becca told me about it. Don’t worry, I won’t destroy the new phone because it was given to you by your beloved grandmother. So go ahead, make a call to your mistress and talk to her. I’m just going to listen here. Rest assured I will not interfere with your conversation. Make that call now because after our wedding you can no longer contact her. I’m just being kind and considerate of you today. So grab the chance before I change my mind," Deborah said in a venomous tone.

Alpha Maxwell sighed heavily. "You really are not leaving my room?"

Deborah shakes her head. "No. Your son and I will stay here because this will become our room after our wedding," she replied casually.

"You are insufferable!" Alpha Maxwell blasted her bad attitude. "You are trying to control my life as if I’m your property? How dare you?" He sneered.

Irked by his statement, Deborah’s face darkened instantly. "You are a cheater! I will never stop punishing you and making your life miserable. You hurt me, I will hurt you a thousand times more!"

"Why are you still desperate to marry me even if I don’t love you anymore? Because of your anger? You want revenge?" Alpha Maxwell glared.

"I must admit that I still love you — I think it’s worth fighting for. But if you continue to resist me, I will make your life a living hell! This is your punishment for betraying me," she responded angrily, her eyes flashing with unconcealed hatred.

"Have you forgotten that I didn’t betray you intentionally? I was kidnapped and forced to procreate with Naomi. It is the only way to regain our freedom. I didn’t do it on purpose. I was forced to do it! I had no choice!" He yelled into her face.

"OK, you had no choice but to follow the kidnappers’ orders just to survive, but now that you are free why are you still trying to establish a connection with that woman? You even went to her house and I saw it with my own eyes. Do you know how painful it is for me to see my fiance begging another woman to see him? You have come to her willingly, chasing her. But you are doing the opposite thing to me. You are running away from me, ignoring me! So unfair!" Deborah lamented, anger flashing in her eyes.

"Yeah, you are right. I was forced to do it with her but later on I fell in love with Naomi. That is why you should not force this marriage between us because we will only feel miserable if we keep arguing with each other every fucking day! Our son will suffer," he said despondently.

"No matter what you say to me, I will never change my decision to marry you. I will become your wife and that woman will forever be your mistress. So if you really love her, let her go. Becoming your wife was my biggest goal in life. I must achieve that goal to complete my life," Deborah said in a tone filled with determination.

"What kind of marriage do you want? A loveless marriage? Because that’s where we are heading," he said with finality in his tone.

Deborah smiled. "I’m not worried. I’m sure your old feelings for me will resurface after our wedding. So I’m not giving up on us yet," she said confidently.

"You are impossible!" Alpha Maxwell said in exasperation. He went to his safety deposit box and removed his new phone, then he walked towards the door.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"I’m going to sleep in the guest room. You can stay here forever if you want. Don’t follow me!" He immediately left the room.

He was thankful because when he entered the guest room, Deborah didn’t follow him, so he locked the door so no one could disturb him while chatting with Naomi.

He sat on the bed and unlocked the phone. He quickly logged into his messenger and sent her a message. He was happy because she was still online.

Alpha Maxwell: Sweetie pie, are you still awake?

Naomi: Yes, waiting for you. Where is she?

Alpha Maxwell: Who? Deborah?

Naomi: Yeah, where is that woman shouting outside the gate of our house?

Alpha Maxwell: She sleeps in my room with my son.

Naomi: Huh? You are already living in the same room? How sweet.

Alpha Maxwell: Sweetie, please don’t get jealous, OK? That’s why I left my room and I will sleep here in the guest room because I don’t want to sleep in the same room as her. I’m currently in a guest room.

Naomi: You are lying!

Alpha Maxwell: I’m telling you the truth. I’m the only one here in the guest room. I will activate the video chat so I can prove to you that I’m alone here.

He quickly activated the video chat, showing her he was alone in the room.

Alpha Maxwell: See, sweetie? I’m alone right? I didn’t lie to you.

Naomi: OK, I believe you now. Um, by the way, did you lose your phone?

Alpha Maxwell: Deborah destroyed my old phone and threw it into the toilet bowl out of anger and jealousy. That’s why I wasn’t able to chat with you. But it’s okay, my grandma gave me a new phone. I can chat with you again.

Naomi: Ah, okay. By the way, Zero sent me a copy of our marriage certificate but unfortunately when my stepmother checked the legality of the certificate she couldn’t find our records in the Marriage Record Bureau.

Alpha Maxwell: He also sent me the certificate. My sister checked it and it was recorded legally but Deborah went home and asked her uncle who works at the Marriage Record Bureau to delete our marriage record. That is why our wedding no longer exists in the database.

Naomi: How dare she do that? The nerves of that woman!

Alpha Maxwell: Calm down sweetie, she is not worth your time and anger.

Naomi: So you are still going to marry her? When is the date of your wedding?

Alpha Maxwell: Not sure of the date because they are still planning it. I already told them I would not marry Deborah because I don’t love her anymore but they don’t listen to me.

Naomi: Why don’t we just elope so we can be together? I’m willing to go back to the facility. We can live there peacefully together with our son.

Alpha Maxwell: I told you before I don’t want to return to the facility. I don’t want to be caged again. I will never return to the facility over my dead body.

Naomi: OK, I understand you. I will not ask you again to join me there.

Alpha Maxwell: I’m sorry, sweetie, I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings. I know you will follow me to the ends of the earth.

Naomi: It’s okay, I understand the reason why. Don’t worry I won’t hate you for it.

Alpha Maxwell: Thanks for your understanding, sweetie.

Naomi: So what will happen now? We are going to marry our old partners because that was what our families want us to do. How about we elope before the wedding takes place? Please tell me about your plans.

Alpha Maxwell: Give me until tomorrow night to think of an immediate solution to our problem. Right now my mind is not functioning. So yeah, I’m still thinking about how to get out of our problem. The marriage certificate should have been the best solution to our problem but unfortunately it was already deleted from the database.

Naomi: On the other hand I was surprised and shocked that our wedding in the facility was indeed real and legal. I thought it was just a fake wedding. As for your fiancée, her family is indeed powerful. With her dominant attitude it would be impossible to avoid her.

Alpha Maxwell: You are right, she will make my life miserable. I’m thinking about how to totally avoid her but it would be difficult because we had a son together. I also have to think about my son’s future. My life is complicated right now. I wish we had met each other earlier.

Naomi: Me too, but our family will still not approve of our relationship because we are enemies, right?

Alpha Maxwell: Yeah you are right. But it doesn’t matter. No matter how hard they tried to separate us. One day we’ll be together again. No one can separate us from each other again. All these problems we are facing now will eventually end. So let’s just stay positive. Better times will come for us soon.

Naomi: I hope so...

Alpha Maxwell: I love you so much sweetie.

Naomi: I love you more.

Alpha Maxwell: I miss our sweet gentle loving in the bed...

Naomi: Yeah. I miss it as well, too bad we can’t cuddle right now...

Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door.

Alpha Maxwell sighed. He already knew who was outside the door knocking furiously as if the world was about to end.

"Open the door!" Deborah shouted loudly outside the door.

Naomi: Who is it?

Alpha Maxwell: It’s Deborah knocking on the door.

Naomi: Alright, let’s end this chat now.

Alpha Maxwell: I’m sorry about this sweetie.

Naomi: It’s okay, no need to apologize. I understand your situation. Goodnight, sweet dreams. I’m signing off and go to sleep.

Alpha Maxwell sighed because Naomi had already left the chat. He was looking forward to having a long chat with her, but it’s over now because of Deborah. He glanced at the door in annoyance. The knocks intensified. His face darkened.

Enraged, he stood up and walked to the door.
