Captive By Desire, A Love We Can't Deny
Chapter 69: New Place
CHAPTER 69: NEW PLACE
Alpha Maxwell smirked. Deborah thought she would be able to seduce him. But she was wrong. After everything she had done to him, he would never get intimate with her again. She would only use their intimate moments to make his life a living hell. His affection for her was already gone. He could no longer like her the same as before.
He stopped her hand before she could grab onto his manhood, his weakness indeed. The moment she manages to touch his member he might not be able to control his urge. "No. You are not allowed to touch my dick anymore. There will be no intimacy between us. We might appear as husband and wife in front of our families and other people but that is all there is to it. There will be no intimacy between us, no cuddling in bed, no hugs and kisses. Since you are forcing me to marry you, I will make you suffer," he says with disdain.
The expression on Deborah’s face was that of outrage.
"There are still a few days left, and you can still save yourself. Why don’t you stop the wedding before it happens? It saves us all from misery and despair!" he suggested in a cold voice.
Deborah picked up the towel and wrapped it around her body covering her nakedness. She took a deep breath and looked into his eyes. She smirked. "I see you are fighting back. Interesting! Do you think I would back out? I have many ways how to make you beg for sex after our wedding and before you know it, I’m already carrying our second child and we will continue to create more children together. So, don’t worry, our wedding will continue. I will win in the end no matter what you do! Remember that!"
He sighed heavily. She looked like a wounded warrior ready to kill her enemy.
Is it his fault that she turned out like this? She could have moved on with her life and found another guy who would have valued her existence. Why settle for him whose heart already belongs to someone else?
"Deb, we don’t have to do this anymore. Aren’t you tired of the back and forth bickering between us? Our current messy situation is not a good foundation for a good marriage. We are just going to hurt and destroy each other. Can’t you see it? Our conflict had already started even before our marriage began. Let’s stop this now while we still have time," he said with a hint of pleading in his voice.
Deborah puts on her clothes in front of him. She could feel his gaze sliding across her body. He might be reluctant to touch him today but sooner or later he will surely cave in. Lust is a strong weapon used to subdue cold-hearted men. She smiled and looked down at him. "My darling hubby, relax, I’m not done with you yet. You started it all by cheating and betraying me with your shameless mistress. You have to pay the price for betraying me. You still try to fight even if you know you are already losing, eh? Becoming your wife was my first win. And I can only be happy and satisfied after the wedding is over. I have no plans of letting you go. Till death do us part!"
"This is absurd! You will regret this!" He stormed out of the room.
He went back to the guest room and locked the door. He leans on the door, staring at the wall, soaking in the negative impact of the kidnapping on his life and on the people around him. Honestly, the only good thing that came out of the kidnapping was Naomi and their son baby Jacob. The rest are pure chaos.
He was frustrated with the way his life was heading.
He inhales and exhales air into his lungs, calming himself.
He now sees Deborah’s real attitude. She used to be sweet and loving in the past, but that woman is gone now. What is left behind is a vengeful woman ready to destroy him emotionally and make his life a living hell at every turn.
Although he had a desire and longing to live a peaceful life with Naomi and baby Jacob, now it has become a distant dream because Deborah was hell bent on trapping him in a loveless marriage to punish him for impregnating and loving another woman.
He was now staring at darkness, trying to swallow him whole.
But hope is not lost yet.
To appease his family and Deborah, he must go through hell first. The wedding must take place whether he likes it or not.
Then after the wedding his redemption will come after he divorces Deborah.
That is his plan.
He hoped the Moon Goddess would bless him so he could finally be reunited with Naomi and baby Jacob.
He went to bed and chatted with Naomi, his one true love. Chatting with her made him happy.
The whole day passed like a blur. Alpha Maxwell was happy because he was able to chat with the love of his life without interruption.
...
Two days later.
Alpha Maxwell together with the servants helped Grandma Franchia relocate comfortably into the bungalow house. She had two staff in the house, a nanny for baby Jacob and an all-around maid in charge of cleaning and cooking.
Grandma Franchia’s room was spacious.
"Don’t worry my boy, I will personally take care of baby Jacob and he will stay with me in my room so I can watch him 24/7. You have my assurance. I will pour all my love and attention into baby Jacob. That is my promise to you," she said reassuringly.
"Thank you so much, Grams. I appreciate your help. I will come here to visit you and my son several times a day," he said, kissing his son’s cheeks lovingly.
Baby Jacob let out an adorable cooing sound, smiling brightly when tickled by his father.
Grandma Franchia smiled. She was happy that Maxwell’s two children were now living in one place. She felt sorry for Naomi though. Being baby Jacob’s mother, she must be suffering hard because of her separation from her child. She looked at her grandson. "My boy, now that baby Jacob and I have settled her comfortably, I wish you and Deborah would be able to settle your differences with each other and live a peaceful life. Try to make the marriage work — if nothing works then divorce will."
Alpha Maxwell nodded his head, releasing a troubled sigh. "I hear you, Grams. I will try to be a good husband to Deborah for as long as I can. But I can’t promise you how long my patience would last if she continued to treat me like I was her enemy. Our marriage might only last for a few months. She is the type of person who will never let go of a betrayal easily. She is a vindictive woman who stops at nothing until her revenge destroys her enemy. So yeah, I’m expecting a difficult life ahead," he said in a dispirited tone.
"Oh, what a tough life waits ahead for you, my boy. Stay strong when facing your battles—concentrate on making your life better," Grandma responded gloomily.
The room was engulfed in silence for a few minutes.
Alpha Maxwell took photos and videos of his son together with Grandma inside the room because Naomi wanted to see the place where baby Jacob would stay. He took several videos of the interiors and exteriors of the bungalow house to satisfy Naomi’s curiosity.
He also took a video of the beautiful garden facing the house.
After he finished taking photos and videos of the house, he spent time bonding with his son, bathing him, feeding him baby milk and even changing his diaper. This time, Grandma was the one who recorded the video of father and son bonding together.
The videos will assure Naomi that the Burke family welcomes baby Jacob with open arms as a valuable addition to the family.
Hours went by.
The whole day passed peacefully.
Alpha Maxwell stayed in the bungalow house until dinner enjoying his grandmother’s and baby Jacob’s company. He even chatted with Naomi in the guest room, assuring her of their son’s good health.
Video chatting with her husband and baby Jacob filled Naomi’s heart with happiness.
She was crying the whole time, watching and talking to her son, hoping he could feel her mother’s love passing through the screen.
’I miss him so much! I want to hold him in my arms and kiss him. I’m dying of longing right now,’ Naomi sobbed.
"Sweetie, don’t worry, grandma and I are planning to bring baby Jacob outside so you can meet him. We can bring him to public places such as malls or public parks. But we need to plan it carefully, okay?’ he said.
Naomi smiled happily. ’Yes please. I’m looking forward to seeing my son. I miss him so much!’ she said excitedly.
Grandma Franchia entered the room and said, "My boy, Deborah, is in the living room with baby Zed. She wants to see you—demanding to know why you have not returned to the house yet."
Alpha Maxwell groaned in annoyance. "Here she comes," he begins cursing profanities under his breath.
’Who is it?’ Naomi asked.
’Deborah is waiting outside the room, asking why I stayed here with our son the whole day,’ he explained.
’Ah, okay. Go now, see her. Let’s just chat some other day. Don’t make her wait longer, she will get angry. Bye for now. Give my love to our son. I love you,’ Naomi said in a hurry.
’I love you sweetie, bye,’ Alpha Maxwell replied.
He ended the chat and put his phone in the pocket of his pants. He looked at his grandmother with a sigh. "Grams, I have to leave now."
"OK." Grandma nodded her head.
Alpha Maxwell reluctantly left the bedroom ready to face the lioness waiting in the living room.
