CHAPTER 79: AMAZING!

The days pass by quickly.

Monday has finally come. Naomi is getting excited. After lunch she donned casual attire, a short sleeve blouse and jeans, getting ready to leave the house.

"Where are you going?" Edison asked, eyeing her closely.

"I’m going to the mall to go shopping," Naomi replied.

"Alone?" he asked. His brows snapped together.

Naomi replied. "Yes. Why? Am I not allowed to go out alone? Don’t worry, the driver will accompany me to the mall. He will hold my shopping bag for me," she assured him.

"What time will you return home?" he asked.

"Maybe around 5 or 6 in the evening," she replied, putting her phone and wallet in her shoulder bag. "How about you? Where are you going?" she asked when she noticed that he was also dressed up.

"Your father wants to see me in his office to talk about business. I’m heading there now," he answered.

She smiled. "Alright, let’s leave together. We will drop you at the head office."

"I will join you in the mall at 6:00 in the evening. Will you wait for me there, wife?" he asked, his eyes gleaming.

"Yes, no problem. Just text me when you have already arrived at the mall so I can tell you where to find me," Naomi replied.

"Okie Dokie." Edison nodded his head.

A few minutes later, the couple exited their room and went downstairs. They met Luna Alicia in the living room.

"Where are you going, guys?" Luna Alicia asked.

"I’m heading to the mall for shopping and Edison will go to Dad’s office. I will drop him there. Then at 6 in the evening we will meet in the mall." Naomi explained.

Luna Alicia smiled, pleased to know that the newlywed couple were going out together. "Nice to hear that. Enjoy shopping."

"Bye Mom," the couple said in chorus.

Luna Alicia watched the couple exit the door and get into the car waiting in the driveway. When the vehicle was already out of the gate, she quickly texted her husband, informing him of the good news that the couple had left the house together.

Meanwhile...

At the Burke mansion, Alpha Maxwell can be seen walking on the path leading to the back of the house.

When he arrived at the bungalow house, he asked, "Are you ready, guys?"

"Yes, give us a few minutes," Grandma replied. "I’ll get my bag. Hold your son for a while, we are getting ready," she added.

"Alrighty, take your time, Grams," Alpha Maxwell replied, holding baby Jacob in his arms. "My son, you will see your mommy later. Are you excited?" he murmured in his ears, nuzzling his chubby cheeks.

Baby Jacob smiled and giggled, arms flailing, trying to reach his father’s nose.

Twenty minutes later. Grandma, the nanny and baby Jacob are ready to go.

"Enjoy the mall, Grams. I will accompany you to the car," Alpha Maxwell said, picking up the bag.

"OK, let’s go," Grandma Franchia replied, adjusting the bag on her shoulder.

They went to the door and exited the bungalow house, walking on the path leading to the front of the mansion.

The nanny holds baby Jacob in her arms, following Grandma and Alpha Maxwell to the driveway.

However when they arrived there, Deborah was already waiting outside the mansion, watching them with hawk eyes.

Deborah’s brows drew together. "Where are you going, guys?" she asked, looking specifically at her husband.

"Grandma was getting bored inside the house. She missed shopping in the mall. They will go there now," he explained, putting the bag in the passenger seat.

"Really—? Don’t tell me you are also going to the mall with them?" Deborah asked suspiciously.

"If you let me go with them... then why not?" he said casually.

Deborah’s eyes darkened and she said, "No way! But if you really want to go to the mall with them, then we will come as well."

He shook his head. "Nah... I’m not in the mood to go malling today," he finally said, putting his wife’s mind at rest.

After the nanny and baby Jacob settled comfortably in the passenger seat, Grandma got into the driver’s car and started the engine. She said, "We’re leaving now."

"Take care, Grams, and drive safely. Enjoy the mall," Alpha Maxwell said and waved them goodbye.

After the car exited the gate, Alpha Maxwell and Deborah returned to the house.

Deborah puts baby Zed in his arms. "I’m going to take a long shower in the room. Take care of our son for me," she said and climbed the stairs, heading for the second floor.

While climbing the stairs, Deborah smiled wickedly. She will attempt to seduce her husband after she finishes showering.

Her son will fall asleep anytime soon—her husband will have no choice but to bring their son into the room and put him in bed.

After arriving in the bedroom, Deborah entered the bathroom to take a shower.

Meanwhile, back in the living room, Alpha Maxwell can be seen putting his son to sleep in his arms, humming a lullaby.

A few minutes later, his son fell asleep. He put baby Zed on the sofa and asked the maid to watch him. "Watch my son while he sleeps. His mother will come to get him and bring him to the room."

"Copy Alpha," the maid replied and sat on the sofa, watching baby Zed.

Alpha Maxwell grinned. He walked briskly to the door and exited the house. He ordered the guard to open the gate.

"Where are you going, Alpha?" the guard asked.

"Why? I can’t leave the house?" Alpha Maxwell growled.

"You can leave anytime, Alpha. But I just want to ask where you are going so I can answer everyone’s questions if they ask me about your whereabouts. I’m just doing my job, Alpha. Please forgive me," the guard apologized profusely.

Alpha Maxwell nodded his head. "I understand you guard. I’m going to visit the nearest store to buy some personal stuff. I will return later. My family can call me on my phone if they want to ask about my whereabouts. Are you satisfied now?"

"Copy, Alpha," the guard replied and opened the gate.

Alpha Maxwell exited the gate and walked away until the guard could no longer see where he was going.

He continued walking until he arrived at the bakery.

Grandma had parked her car near the bakery, waiting for her grandson to arrive. She smiled brightly when she saw him approaching their location.

Alpha Maxwell smiled. "Success, Grams!"

"Good job, my boy. How did you manage to evade your wife?" she asked in amusement.

"She put baby Zed in my arms and went upstairs to take a bath. When my son fell asleep I put him on the sofa and asked the maid to watch him. Then I left the house," he explained.

Grandma grinned and gave him a thumbs up. "Good job, my boy. Let’s go."

"I’ll drive, Grams," he offered.

"OK." Grandma relocated into the passenger seat beside the nanny.

Alpha Maxwell sent a quick message to Naomi informing her that they were now on the road, heading for the mall. He muted his phone anticipating Deborah’s barrage of calls coming soon. He started the engine and drove the car towards Garden Mall.

A few minutes later, they finally arrived at the Garden Mall.

After he had finished parking the vehicle, Alpha Maxwell checked his phone. He got a message from Naomi informing him that she had already checked in at the Spring Hotel located inside the mall, suite # 50, third floor. She is waiting for him to arrive.

They left the car and entered the mall.

Grandma instructed the nanny to sit on the bench and wait for her. "I will return in a few minutes. Wait for me. Don’t go anywhere," she told her.

"Yes, Madam," the nanny responded obediently and sat on the bench.

Grandma and Alpha Maxwell proceeded to the Spring Hotel lobby. They rode the elevator that brought them to the 3rd floor.

After successfully finding suite #50, Grandma said, "You go ahead with baby Jacob inside the suite and give my regards to Naomi. I will meet her the second time around—not now because time is short. I will go window shopping with the nanny. Text or call me after you and Naomi are ready to go home. OK?"

"Copy, Grams. Thank you so much for always helping and supporting me in everything I do," Alpha Maxwell said thoughtfully.

Grandma Franchia smiled. "My boy, stop thanking me. I’ll go now," she said and turned around, heading back to the elevator.

Alpha Maxwell pressed the doorbell excitedly.

The door was opened by Naomi. Her face lit up like fireworks in the sky the moment she saw her son.

"My babyyyyy! My sonnn!" Naomi squealed in delight.

Alpha Maxwell immediately placed baby Jacob in Naomi’s arms. He closed and locked the door behind him. Making sure no one could enter the room.

Tears of happiness flooded Naomi’s face as she shower baby Jacob’s face, arms and feet with a thousand kisses.

"My son, Mommy is here. Finally we met again. I miss you so much. You have no idea how happy I am right now!" She beamed happily, her heart was overwhelmed with happiness.

Baby Jacob was giggling, smiling, happy to see his mother.

Alpha Maxwell watched mother and son’s joyous reunion. Tears shimmered in his eyes.

This wonderful reunion with his loved ones filled his heart with gladness. It was their first reunion after leaving the facility.

Naomi met his gaze. Her heart was overflowing with love and happiness. "Thank you so much for bringing our son here. I’m so happy right now," she said in elation.

"I’ll do everything for you, sweetie pie," he said, his tone thick with emotion. He enveloped his wife and son in a loving embrace, happy to be reunited with his beloved woman. Such a wonderful feeling that brought tears of joy to his eyes.
