"Tadaima!!" I announced as Rem, Ram, and I entered the house through the front door.

We could have just teleported inside, but I preferred to travel here in the traditional way, after all, I didn't want to get lazy and use teleportation to every place I want to go.

As for my greeting just now, I wasn't expecting anyone to answer, it's just an optional little ceremony for every Japanese person whenever they come home.

The three of us didn't waste any time and started unpacking our clothes and such, there was quite a lot of clothes here, after all, I was planning on staying for weeks, or maybe even a month or so in the human world, so I can take a break from the underworld, as well as so it's more believable to everyone that I had "found" yet another friend that will be part of my future peerage.

Speaking of Peerage, aside from the twins, there are a few people in this world that I'm planning on adding.

One of them is actually supposed to be part of Rias's Peerage in the future. As for who it is, it was none other than the nekoshou, Shirone.

I also plan on making Kuroka part of my peerage, so the two sisters don't get separated.

And speaking of those two, I planned on dealing with their issues after I'm done with my business here. If I remember correctly, this is the year where Kuroka will get started on getting experimented on.

And it will last until Kuroka reaches 14 where she will be killing that guy from the Naberius branch.

Still for now, It seems that Kuroka and Shirone's parents haven't died yet. As for how I know all of this, well— let's just say, I entrusted a certain black panther to watch over the two.

Quite frankly, Kuroka and Shirone's parents actually have potential, especially their father who actually achieved preliminary results on creating super devils.

He's still a deadbeat though— so he would need some fixing after I rescue his ass.

Oh right, did I mention that the city where Shirone, Kuroka, as well as their parents are staying right now?

Guess?

Huaah~ I might be crazy to talk to myself like this, But, I believe somewhere along there, people staring at their screens are currently observing everything that I'm doing.

After all, my life as it is, seems like it's some kind of fanfic written by some author.

But, it wasn't the time to have an existential crisis right now… I'll just have to enjoy the life I'm living in right now, and make the weebs who might be reading my thoughts right now, get jealous.

'Hehehe, suck on that dweebs!' I grinned as I descended the stairs. I then went straight to the altar where my mother's picture is currently standing and greeted her.

"Hey mom, I'm back from father's place…."

After telling mom about what happened in the past year. I stood up from the altar and turned back to find the twins also sitting behind me.

I smiled at this, and softly said. "You two didn't have to do this."

The twins shook their heads, before they stood up one after another and replied.

"Mm… Rem and sissy also need to show respect to Hisaki-sama's mother."

"Indeed, your mother is important to you. so, as your attendants we must show respect to her as well."

"...thanks, Rem, Ram." I responded softly, not bothering to refute their words.

"Alright!! Let's enjoy this vacation! Err… Why don't you two change into more casual clothes while we're here?"

"But—"

"No Buts! We aren't in the underworld so, Rem and Ram, the twin maids, should now be Rem and Ram, Hisaki's closest companions!"

"...Okay."

"I guess…"

Looking at the twins whose faces looked troubled, I couldn't help but sigh bitterly.

"Guess you two really drifted that far, huh..." I muttered with a low voice, before I shook my head and walked away.

"I'm going to the convenience store nearby, watch the house you two…"

After leaving those words, I went ahead and walked out of the house, planning to cool down and maybe do some reconnaissance first.

-Rem & Ram POV-

Back at the residence, seeing Hisaki walk away with a sombre mood. The twins looked at him with worried faces.

"Nee-sama… Hisaki-sama looks upset." Rem says with a complicated expression.

"He is upset Rem.."Ram responded flatly, while shaking her head.

"But— why? Aren't we doing a good job as his attendants? Didn't Grayfia-sensei say that, to be a great attendant means that we shouldn't be unnecessarily close with our master?"

"We're doing that, but why is Hisaki-sama upset…" Rem's voice cracked, as she stifled the tears threatening to come out of her eyes.

"Sigh— Maybe Hisaki-sama is the weird one." Ram replied, while patting her sister's head trying to make her better.

In truth, the two of them didn't actually want to act distant to their savior and effectively their closest person in this new world, but— one of the lessons that their teacher, Grayfia had given them, is that Attendants must not mix their work and personal life.

Thus, they shouldn't act close with the person they are serving(Hisaki) whenever they are at work.

And the twins, who wanted to impress Hisaki with their hard work, and dedication, didn't waste any time and implemented every lesson that their teacher had taught them.

Yes— All of these are just one big misunderstanding.

Their teacher, Grayfia Lucifuge thought that she was merely teaching the twins so that when they had fully grown up, they would know what are the required etiquettes that a proper maids should follow.

She believed that, even if the girls did do some maid work— it wouldn't be full time, and just from time to time as practical training, because she assumed that the twins are also receiving proper education from the devil school located near the Agares estate.

But, that was exactly her mistake—

Because, Rem and Ram, actually didn't attend a proper school for their age.

Hisaki too—

In fact, most– or if not, every devil aristocrat actually didn't send their children to a public or private school, In fact— they actually hire private tutors to teach their children not just about general education, but also nobility responsibilities and such.

And as for socializing with someone their age? Well— every month or so, lots of devil nobility hosts parties and such.

And the nobility send their children to attend such parties along with attendants and guards so they can socialize with their peers who are most likely attending the same party.

Of course it was purely optional, because some of the younger generation actually preferred to keep to themselves, just like a certain crimson haired heiress.

Hisaki was the same, and similarly, with Hisaki's insistence, Rem and Ram, instead of being sent to a public school for devil youths like what every young future servants of each household generally get sent to— are also accompanying Hisaki on the tutoring session.

And the twins, who were taught to follow everything that their master arranged for them— treated getting tutored as part of the job.

The twins were unknowingly working, every single day, without any day off— without the knowledge of all the parties in concern.

In conclusion, all of these stems down from a misunderstanding, and until one of them says something, the misunderstanding won't get fixed.

"I'm back!" I voiced as I walked towards the living room, carrying a paper bag that contained various snacks and treats.

I just can't get mad at those two—

It was after all, my selfish decision to summon both of them in this world, so I have the responsibility to take care of them.

Regardless, whether they like me or not.

Just as I neared the living room, I suddenly overheard something that made me pause in my tracks.

But it lasted only for a split second, before I sprinted as fast as I could towards the twins.

"What happened?!" I asked, full of worry, seeing the sobbing Rem, and Ram who's doing her best to make her sister better.
