CHAPTER 940: CHAPTER 940: I’M RICHER THAN YOU

Upon hearing Tao Qingqing’s words, the Mosquito Lady almost laughed in anger, as if Tao Qingqing could truly solve her in fifteen minutes.

"You’re just a mere human, weaker than me by one realm, and this Wagtail Ghost next to you is a useless creature at the Disaster Level. What qualifies you to resolve me in fifteen minutes? No, let me put it this way, you can’t even hold on for a minute in front of me!"

Without a change in expression, Tao Qingqing dismissed the Mosquito Lady’s words as mere noise.

The Mosquito Lady, enraged, let a fierce glint flash in her eyes.

Besides her combat prowess at the True Order Level, she also possesses the ability to command mosquitoes.

Initially, this ability seemed insignificant, as the weak mosquitoes posed no threat to superpower users.

However, after Brookley began researching mosquitoes, the scenario changed completely, resulting in numerous specially cultivated mosquitoes for the Mosquito Lady to command.

Although most of the mosquitoes weren’t brought along, the strongest ones were always personally carried by the Mosquito Lady.

She had only two of these mosquitoes on her, each containing a potent anesthetic toxin. They flew silently, with mouthparts that could corrode a superpower user’s skin without a trace, allowing the toxin to enter the bloodstream.

Even though the anesthesia only worked for a short time, that period was enough for the Mosquito Lady to kill the two of them.

After all, speed was the Mosquito Lady’s forte!

Unfortunately, the scene she had imagined did not occur.

The two mosquitoes flew silently behind the pair, aiming to draw blood from the back of their necks.

If they made contact with skin, the mosquitoes could inject venom. However, unexpectedly, they failed to touch the skins of Tao Qingqing and the Little Wagtail Ghost.

Upon sensing something unusual at the back of their necks, the two casually swatted, shattering the special mosquitoes into pieces, unaware they had just averted lethal danger.

"What... how is this possible!" the Mosquito Lady exclaimed, startled out of her wits.

There was nothing wrong with her mosquitoes; even on copper-skinned, iron-boned monsters, the poison proved effective.

Unfortunately, before entering the factory, Wen Wen had equipped the two with a transparent shield from the warehouse manager’s badge. Its primary function was to block mental attacks, but it also isolated them from the outside world.

The mosquitoes could corrode skin and invade blood vessels, but could not penetrate even a tiny layer of shield.

Tao Qingqing wasted no further words, chuckling as she charged at the Mosquito Lady.

The Mosquito Lady snorted coldly, her wings vibrating as she began to move at high speed; even without the mosquito’s effect on the pair, her strength still surpassed theirs.

She quickly flew circles around Tao Qingqing, almost elusive to her vision. The Mosquito Lady’s speed was much faster than Tao Qingqing’s, and the stripes on her body changed under the sunlight, making her nearly optically invisible.

Yet, there wasn’t a hint of panic in Tao Qingqing. Despite being at a disadvantage, she remained mysteriously calm, unsettling the Mosquito Lady’s mentality.

After figuring out her strategy, Tao Qingqing rummaged through her Space Ring and donned a red robe from it. This was Little Red Riding Hood’s robe, filled with various weapons.

She then reached inside the robe and pulled out a blue handgun and an oddly shaped long gun, as well as several grenade-like objects.

Though unsure of these items’ effects, the Mosquito Lady felt a numbing sensation on her scalp.

Tao Qingqing afforded her little time to think, hurling three grenade-like objects.

These were Foundation-made enhanced chili-mustard smoke bombs, releasing clouds of pungent smoke.

Thanks to the shield’s isolation, Tao Qingqing wasn’t affected by the smoke grenades, but the Mosquito Lady was, causing her to cough violently and her flight path to become erratic.

Her vibrating wings left a distinct trail, allowing Tao Qingqing to predict her movements.

Then Tao Qingqing raised the blue wolf-patterned handgun, firing continuously in the direction of that trail, with ten streams of blue light shooting out with each shot.

Despite the Mosquito Lady’s fast reactions, the chili smoke’s influence caught her off guard, and her wing was struck by one of the streams.

This blue handgun was, of course, Wen Wen’s Cross, each bullet inside being a precious rarity at the time for Wen Wen.

The Mosquito Lady, with a damaged wing, could no longer move at high speed. Tao Qingqing then charged forward with the odd long gun.

The Mosquito Lady’s face darkened like a matchless black pot; she couldn’t blame being hit by the gun and smoke bomb combo.

Yet, if Tao Qingqing thought such a method could defeat her, it was truly a delusion.

Moreover, giving up the strange handgun in favor of close combat seemed foolish to the extreme.

Though unable to move quickly now, the Mosquito Lady’s melee abilities remained unaffected; engaging her in close combat was suicidal at this point.

With a fierce determination in her eyes, she intended to tear Tao Qingqing apart with brutal measures.

Watching the nondescript long gun swing towards her, the Mosquito Lady extended her arm to block it. Her arms featured razor-sharp, blade-like exoskeletons; no ordinary weapon could harm her, let alone this seemingly powerless long gun.

Yet, unexpectedly, in the next moment, her arm was smashed like tofu!

The long gun continued, hitting her waist and sending her flying like a shooting star, crashing through over a dozen tall trees before she came to a halt.

Half of her body embedded in the tree stump, the Mosquito Lady coughed up blood, unable to comprehend how such an ordinary long gun could yield such a devastating outcome with just one swipe.

Tao Qingqing was also taken aback, holding the long gun in her arms and brushing her cheek against it twice, a face full of delight.

"Why, why..." the Mosquito Lady muttered in disbelief.

"Perhaps, it’s because I’m wealthier than you," Tao Qingqing shrugged.

After Tao Qingqing and Wen Wen parted the last time, she inadvertently entered the Land of Slumber and narrowly escaped death.

Worried she might encounter further trouble, Wen Wen gave her some unused items for self-defense.

Little Red Riding Hood’s red robe is gear capable of holding weapons, which Wen Wen no longer needed, as he could now access it through the Sanctuary.

The Cross of Blazing Tiger Pack of Wolves’ power was outdated for Wen Wen now.

As for the long gun, its power surpassed, designed from a spike that pinned the Cicada Ancestor to the Cross, retaining immense sealing effects and massive weight. Wen Wen lent one of these seven pieces to Tao Qingqing.

Besides this, Tao Qingqing has numerous other tools, no longer useful for Wen Wen.

Not to mention Middle Sequence monsters, even Upper Sequence Monsters underestimating her might end up grievously injured by a strike of the gun.
