CEO's Sweetheart is a Super Idol
Chapter 112 - 109: Upgrade Downgrade
CHAPTER 112: CHAPTER 109: UPGRADE DOWNGRADE
Lv Fangxin was stunned. What kind of operation was this? Isn’t the rule to keep dancing no matter what, even if you’re struggling?
As members of a girl group, shouldn’t they have professional ethics and a never-give-up spirit?
Ye Yuwei frowned as she looked at Zhu Riri. "If this were in Hanoi, she’d definitely get beaten up afterwards. Undermining others in a public setting is absolutely unacceptable—it’s bound to ruin reputations."
Gao Ziyi managed to stop her crying and returned to her seat, as Ye Yuwei started preparing. Beside her was the "timid girl" Li Shihan.
At this moment, F class—having the fewest members—had no one else left to go on stage.
From A class, Ye Yuwei was the only one left for evaluation. This was an intentional arrangement by the show’s producers.
Besides her and Li Shihan, there were Lu Bingbing from C class and Wang Qingyu from D class.
Ye Yuwei and Lu Bingbing both knew this was planned by the producers, though the purpose was unclear.
Without looking at anyone, Ye Yuwei quickly managed her expressions and prepared to perform.
Lu Bingbing gave Wang Qingyu an encouraging look, which greatly boosted the latter’s confidence.
Soon the music started, and the four of them began dancing to the beat.
Lu Bingbing performed well and nailed all the necessary moves.
Though Wang Qingyu wasn’t flawless, she managed to carry through entirely.
Ye Yuwei and Li Shihan, true dance maestros, moved like flowing water.
Under Yang Xiaoyue’s instructions, the cameraman filmed the performance meticulously.
Lu Bingbing and Wang Qingyu, still trying hard with their dancing, likely hadn’t realized—the cameraman merely skimmed over them, while capturing Ye Yuwei and Li Shihan’s performance perfectly.
Soon the mentors finished their evaluations and joined the scene.
Everyone was both nervous and excited.
Long Zitao walked in, his eyes repeatedly darting toward Ye Yuwei.
Though he tried to act composed, Tian Jiaxuan noticed something amiss.
She didn’t find it strange—given Long Zitao’s family background and position in the entertainment industry, getting close to a young starlet was hardly a challenge.
"Hello, long time no see!" Long Zitao enthusiastically greeted with a loud voice.
All the girls immediately responded enthusiastically, with some overly excited—Zhu Riri nearly jumped up.
Luo Junxiang kept scanning each girl. His dark circles were even worse than on the first day of filming.
Despite wearing makeup, his pale complexion betrayed the damaging toll of indulgence.
Without much idle talk, Long Zitao began announcing the new class placements.
Original A: Natasha dropped to F, Lin Jiayi to B, Yang Ni to B, Chen Afang to B, Xu Qianhua to C, Guo Xia to B.
Natasha’s demotion to F came as no surprise. Not just because of her conduct, but also due to her poor performance in the theme song evaluation.
Chen Afang earning a B puzzled many—her performance wasn’t bad.
Chen Afang smiled stiffly. She knew why she was given a lower ranking—Yang Xiaoyue was punishing her. For the first time, she felt that her privileged background didn’t hold sway here.
Lin Jiayi’s expression was filled with indignation. She thought she did well, so why was she demoted?
Guo Xia, however, looked composed. Knowing she hadn’t performed well, she accepted the downgrade.
Yang Ni was similar. Her performance was average, and disappointment showed on her face.
Meanwhile, the much-praised beauty Wang Miaomiao was demoted from B to C, along with Duan Yuxin from B to C.
Lu Xiaoman from D class fell to F, while Chen Yinghan and Lv Fangxin from C class also dropped to F.
Lu Xiaoman, upon hearing of her demotion, wasn’t upset. Instead, she gave Chen Yinghan a bizarre look and gestured as if making a "grabbing" motion.
Chen Yinghan’s previously calm expression instantly turned icy, and she deliberately linked arms with Lv Fangxin.
Lv Fangxin looked like she’d lost her soul—staring blankly ahead.
Zhu Riri, who had nearly been mobbed earlier, was also demoted to F.
The universally acknowledged beauty Qi Ziyue dropped to C.
Yu Xiaohong—who clashed stylistically with Gao Ziyi—fell to F.
Beyond this, 19 others faced demotion.
As the saying goes, some rejoice while others grieve.
Original B: Wu Zixuan upgraded to A, Fu Xiaoyu to A, Wu Meiying to A, Li Shihan to A, and Li Zimeng to A.
The five girls were exceptionally excited—especially Wu Zixuan, whose recent struggles finally seemed to pay off. She fought back tears and tried hard to smile.
Nearby, Fu Xiaoyu grabbed her hand. Having both been eliminated from A class before, their shared experiences brought them much closer.
Everyone admired Li Zimeng’s promotion to A class.
Li Zimeng had to return to the country due to visa issues and only trained for one day. Yet, she executed the moves perfectly. Her dance teacher deemed her a natural talent.
Additionally, Gao Yingxi jumped from C to A.
Surprisingly, the chatty little sister Yin Xiren moved from F to C. Chen Yanran, who shared a dorm with Lv Fangxin, ranked up to B.
And beyond this, there were 19 upgrades across the board.
The rankings of 29 others remained unchanged, including Qiang Yueting, the most embarrassed of the lot—still ranked B+ and stuck living in the A class dorms.
Before everyone could settle their emotions, Long Zitao continued, "Will the 11 contestants from A class step forward?"
Confused, Ye Yuwei and the others stepped out.
"Now we are selecting the C-position for the theme song. The C-position will be chosen from A class," Long Zitao’s announcement sent a collective shock through them.
The remaining 90 girls cast either envious, encouraging, or jealous looks toward those 11.
This selection process being restricted to A class was a deliberate move by the producers. If all contestants participated, they risked selecting someone outside A class—which could be awkward.
Moreover, the producers were cautious about choosing an unreliable C-position candidate. For instance, if Lv Fangxin were voted overwhelmingly, what could they do? The show would be in chaos.
"Each of you has one vote. Write a name on the paper and drop it in the box." As Long Zitao gave instructions, staff handed out pens and paper.
The 90 girls were somewhat puzzled.
Though they’d watched the 11 perform, many only caught a glimpse. Some were too focused on supporting their friends to pay full attention.
The 11 contestants standing opposite them had their own thoughts—each dreaming of being the coveted C-position.
Ye Yuwei was just as eager. She understood the value of the C-position.
Securing it meant the producers wouldn’t edit her clips negatively. She’d receive a favorable persona since the C-position represented the show’s image.
It also greatly increased her chances of debuting. Even if she didn’t debut, per her contract, she’d gain valuable follow-up opportunities from the platform.
Meng Meixuan and Wu Zixuan wanted the C-position even more desperately than Ye Yuwei.
To them, C-position symbolized everything—resources, screen time, and fame.
Fu Xiaoyu’s heart was also pounding. After sitting in the top seat, she felt the producers weren’t focusing on her.
Though the final cut was yet to air, she sensed her screen time wouldn’t be significant. Securing initial C-position might change everything—perhaps even earning the supreme throne.
Wu Meiying and Gao Yingxi, initially joining for exposure with plans to branch into acting, couldn’t help but crave the top spot under such fierce competition.
Li Shihan and Li Zimeng felt similarly anxious but less competitive, believing they had little chance.
Li Shihan thought no one would notice her, while Li Zimeng figured her short time with the group meant no one would vote for her.
Lv Xiaoxue was equally nervous, surprised to still be in A class given her incomplete performance of the theme song dance.
Instinctively, she flashed smiles at everyone, hoping to earn their votes.
The waiting was truly agonizing.
