Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!
Chapter 15: Sudden Incident
CHAPTER 15: CHAPTER 15: SUDDEN INCIDENT
Honey immediately realized he wasn’t really angry, flashed a big smile, grabbed his hand, and marched forward. "Come on, let’s go eat!"
At the end of the street corner, there was a KFC. As soon as Honey saw it, she couldn’t move any further, her eyes beaming, and she pulled Seth Sterling running inside, tiptoeing, with a soft voice, told the server, "Auntie, I want two kids’ meals!"
Her mom used to bring her here often, but unfortunately, later her health wasn’t good, so they seldom came.
The server was charmed by such an adorable child, felt her heart melting, placed the order, handed her the plaquard, and at a glance noticed Seth standing beside her.
A solitary aura, a delicate face.
Which celestial couple’s child could this possibly be?
The two ordered and sat by the window, with Seth’s brows furrowed tightly.
Such a place, he had never been to before.
Ethan Sterling had always categorized this type of food as junk food, usually not even allowing a sniff, let alone eating it. It was the first time he... set foot there.
Looking at the excited Honey beside him, Seth’s expression still showed some impatience, yet tenderness reached the depths of his eyes.
Even though this little brat could be a bit annoying, getting along so far... seemed not too bad.
Seth was someone deeply loyal, though he said nothing, he had already considered Honey as one of his own in his heart, one whom he’d fight for, while she’d cheer beside him.
Their food arrived quickly, and when the server came over, she even gifted them two extra packets of ketchup. Honey widened her eyes in surprise, grabbing the bunch of ketchup to show Seth, "So much!"
It was merely four packets.
Seth gave her a light glance but decided to remain silent.
The chicken wings were fragrant, the cola refreshing, and the burgers tasty.
This was something Seth had never eaten before, but upon this taste, surprisingly, it was quite agreeable.
...
Rhonda Sullivan had some pent-up frustration over yesterday’s incident, and she was planning to go shopping with her close friend Gemma Joyce to unwind, complaining all along the way, causing Gemma to roll her eyes secretly.
"You have no idea how overly audacious that little vixen is, thinking a pretty face is enough to seduce Ethan like that tramp? Please, is she delusional?"
While Rhonda was endlessly ranting, Gemma suddenly brightened her gaze, tugged at her, and pointed in surprise towards the KFC across, "Rhonda, isn’t that kid Seth?"
Rhonda paused, following her gesture in that direction, seated by the window turning KFC into a scene of fine dining. The boy was, indeed, Seth. But the girl beside him... who was she?
Between her brows and eyes, she was reminded of the woman who vanished five years ago...
Rhonda’s eyes gleamed with calculation.
Ethan Sterling never liked Seth visiting such places, so if she managed to stop Seth this time and later reported back to Ethan for credit, perhaps it would earn her a good impression.
Thinking this, Rhonda pulled Gemma, entering through the door.
Seth also immediately noticed the commotion.
Upon seeing that it was Rhonda Sullivan, his expression darkened.
He stood up, shielding the still gorging Melody Wallace with meat behind him.
"Aunt Sullivan," he said calmly.
Rhonda, upon seeing his cold demeanor, couldn’t contain her anger. Five years had not warmed this little brat’s heart, draining her patience. Now with Ethan not around, just a kid by himself, naturally, she’s free to handle him.
Thinking about it, she stepped forward to drag him away, "Seth, how can you eat here? Come on, let Auntie take you somewhere else. Eating such trash food, your father wouldn’t be pleased to know."
Seth gave her a cold glance, the pitch-black pupils flashing with a trace of disgust, "Let go."
Honey then realized what was happening, frantically scrambling down, standing in front of Seth, shocking Seth.
"Who are you? What right do you have to take Brother Sterling away?" Though the little girl was naive, her demeanor was fierce.
Rhonda’s hand was still holding onto Seth, yet now there suddenly blocked a little child in front of her.
Looking at her familiar appearance made Rhonda furious, she sneered, "Little girl, I’m Seth’s mother. Who are you? Being lowly yourself is one thing, but bringing Seth here to eat junk, if something happens, can you bear..."
"Rhonda Sullivan!" Seth could no longer bother about manners or lack thereof. Almost as soon as Rhonda claimed she was his mother, a string in Seth’s heart snapped suddenly, his gaze turned vicious, "You have no right to say that."
Rhonda seemed struck by a blow, her expression somewhat distorted, she almost forcibly pulled Seth to leave.
If she had no right, who did?
Ethan’s ex-wife, who died five years ago?
Or maybe his unknown, unalive biological parents?
These five years, though Seth was known as Ethan’s son, only she knew, Seth was actually an adopted stray child of unknown origin!
If not for Ethan’s partiality towards him, just a little boy, how dare he speak to her like this! Rhonda’s grip tightened even more!
Seth’s hand emerged with a ring of white marks.
Honey suddenly came to, her eyes turning fierce, "Let go of Brother Sterling!"
She lunged forward, revealing two little canine teeth, and bit hard onto Rhonda Sullivan’s hand.
"Ah—" Rhonda screamed, the pain loosening her grip on Seth, turning to glare viciously at Melody Wallace, blood already flowing from her wrist.
"You little brat!"
She screamed sharply, lost in reason, delivering a hard slap onto Melody Wallace’s face. Melody was just a five-year-old child, and being suddenly hit that hard, she couldn’t stand and fell backwards fiercely.
Seth’s eyes narrowed, and the usual calm broke into fluster.
Melody hit the table leg hard, blood streaming from her head.
"Honey!" Seth panicked instantly, squatting down to hold Melody, yet hindered by her wound, he used his hand to cover Honey’s forehead, but the blood wouldn’t stop.
His eyes turned red, glaring fiercely at Rhonda, who was already in shock, like a trapped wolf cub, showing a terrifying intent for the first time.
The look made Rhonda startled, involuntarily stepping back half a step.
Honey lay on the ground, and soon, bright red blood pooled all around.
