Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!
Chapter 2: Ethan Sterling, How Heartless You Are
CHAPTER 2: CHAPTER 2: ETHAN STERLING, HOW HEARTLESS YOU ARE
Rhonda Sullivan stood behind her, with a mocking gaze, sneering, "Ruby Sullivan, if I were you, I’d obediently abort this child and leave Ethan."
"Why don’t you look in the mirror and see what you really look like! Looking like a pig and still wanting to have a child for Ethan? If I were you, I’d rather find a rope and hang myself, save the air. It’s a waste living." Rhonda huffed coldly, her mocking gaze recklessly scanning her.
Ruby Sullivan widened her eyes, appearing utterly stunned.
This was her gentle, understanding good sister speaking? So sharp... and malicious.
"Why... I trusted you so much, Dad always treated you like his own daughter. From the first day you were taken from the welfare home, everything I had, you had too. Dad even handed the company over to you to manage, why do you still treat me this way!"
"Biological daughter?" Rhonda squinted her eyes, laughing seductively, "My dear sister, you said it yourself, that’s just ’treated as’! You think the old man let me into the company because he values me? Ha, I did all the heavy lifting, and in the end, the money went into your father-daughter pockets. Since childhood, haven’t I always given in to you on everything, highlighted your merits, made you happy, paved the way for you!"
"But why? Hmm? Ruby Sullivan, tell me why! I am clearly more beautiful, love Ethan more than you do! But in the end, The elder Mrs. Sterling chose you! So I understood, there’s no fairness in this world, if you want fairness, you can only fight for it yourself! Ruby Sullivan, remember, not only Ethan is mine, someday, everything of yours will become mine!"
After she finished speaking, the woman leaned closer to her, her voice whispered right next to her ear, the breath made her shiver uncontrollably, "Ruby Sullivan, let me tell you a secret, I’m pregnant too and the child is Ethan’s. Now, tell me, if I fall, would he believe you or pity me?"
Ruby Sullivan’s pupils suddenly contracted. She couldn’t believe it as she shoved Rhonda Sullivan away, "You... what did you say?"
Rhonda’s eyes flashed with a moment of madness, the next second, she suddenly wore an expression of terror and took a step back, fiercely falling to the ground.
"Ah Ruby, why did you push me? My stomach hurts, it hurts so much..."
Ethan Sterling inside the room heard the scream, his heart skipped a beat, a sense of dread surged inexplicably, because the distance made it hard for him to discern whose voice it was, he instinctively felt it was Ruby Sullivan’s.
But after rushing out, seeing Rhonda Sullivan lying on the floor, he subconsciously sighed in relief.
Ruby Sullivan stood there, her face full of fear, reaching out weakly, wanting to explain.
Unfortunately, Ethan Sterling didn’t throw a glance at her. He only uttered coldly, "Get out!" Then he picked up Rhonda Sullivan from the ground and walked briskly toward the black car.
He didn’t trust her.
Ruby Sullivan opened her mouth, yet could finally say nothing.
The car sped toward the hospital, Ruby Sullivan’s heart felt as if it was being torn apart.
She stumbled back home, even missing the greeting from the servants.
She sat in despair on the sofa, her headache felt like it was going to explode, yet it was far less painful than the agony in her heart.
In the evening, two servants came over, holding a bowl of dark medicinal soup: "Madam, it’s time to take your medicine."
"What medicine is this?" She stepped back a pace, she never felt physically unwell, why would she need any medicine?
Probably sensing her wary look, the person holding the bowl avoided her gaze while the one behind stepped forward and pinched her, smiling obsequiously: "Madam forgot, this is a tonic for pregnancy."
A tonic for pregnancy?
She only found out about her pregnancy today and never told anyone, how did the servants know she was pregnant?
Unknown fear gripped her, Ruby Sullivan suddenly pushed them away, panic in her expression, "What pregnancy tonic, I don’t know, take it away!"
Those two seemed prepared for her attitude, one fiercely grabbed her wrist and pressed it against the wall, forcing her to lift her head.
Ruby Sullivan struggled, resisted, her body held down tightly, tears gushed in large drops, the dark medicinal juice choked down her throat, streaming out through her nose, stained and dirty.
"Miss Sullivan, you better accept it! This is Mr. Sterling’s order, the child in your belly must not stay! It’s better you make way quickly for the next Mrs. Sterling!"
Ruby Sullivan’s eyes widened abruptly.
Ethan Sterling, your heart is so cruel!
Three years of marriage, I toiled tirelessly, and you treat me like this!
Tears freely flowed and mixed with the black medicine soup on her face, unable to wash away the surging resentment and despair in her heart.
