Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!
Chapter 439: Calling My Uncle
CHAPTER 439: CHAPTER 439: CALLING MY UNCLE
Aidan Sinclair prided himself on keeping a straight face, but in reality, his features stiffened due to that remark, and after a moment, he stubbornly whispered, "I’m not that much older than her, am I?"
Ruby Sullivan admired his courage for self-hypnosis a bit, "Hmm, just a friendly reminder, Holly is actually an illegitimate child, and this is an open secret to The Jennings Family, so the relationship between Hannah and Holly isn’t very good."
"Really?" Aidan Sinclair gasped, recalling the day Hannah lost control, and felt a little worried that he might have unintentionally caused trouble for Holly.
Ruby Sullivan tilted her head and glanced at him, "So, have you decided to give up?"
"No way." Aidan Sinclair answered resolutely, "It’s just that I feel the need to work out more." After all, exercise is the elixir of youth.
Ruby Sullivan chuckled, "I sincerely wish you success." Holly needs a strong man to smooth out the troubles behind her and help her soar higher. Besides, it’s a blessing to meet Aidan Sinclair at an age when the little girl needs protection.

A week before the program premiered, after taking promotional photos with everyone, Holly was called aside by the responsible PD.
"Holly, the big boss of Morningstar wants to meet you and discuss the contract. But before going, we still need to ask for your opinion. The show is about to start, signing now and later might result in different treatment, but it could also mean missing out on this opportunity,"
Holly immediately thought of what Ruby Sullivan had said to her and nodded decisively, "I joined the show because I want to work with Morningstar. I’d like to meet first and chat a bit."
PD didn’t expect her to make a decision so quickly. Others had at least taken a day’s time to consider, perhaps because Morningstar is too tempting. Several promising candidates from this training camp had been snapped up by other agencies; it was unexpected that Morningstar finally decided on this slightly inconspicuous little girl.
Holly, although pretty, seemed inconspicuous among a group of high-quality girls with long legs. Her petite stature, lack of cunning, and inability to steal the spotlight disadvantaged her somewhat.
So PD was secretly happy for Holly after receiving the call from Morningstar.
This adorable little girl, she hopes Holly can have better prospects.
"Let’s go now then."
"Okay." Although Holly had been mentally prepared, she was still a little nervous and took a deep breath.
Days at the training camp were hectic; exhaustion was almost every girl’s norm. Holly’s excitement didn’t overcome her drowsiness; not long after the car hit the road, she fell asleep, only waking up when the PD, who followed, called her at the station.
Though Morningstar was supposed to sign Holly, the car directly brought them to Stellaron Group, leaving even the PD a bit puzzled, as she had never been to Headquarters herself.
Holly, half dazed, got out of the car and looked at the magnificent office park around, exclaiming, "Is this Morningstar’s office building? It’s huge."
She had previously thought an agency would be at most a couple of floors with cubicles, not expecting an entire office park!
PD smiled awkwardly, "This is Stellaron Group Headquarters, probably because the person in charge is here for a meeting." Normally, when discussing cooperation with fledgling artists, a broker appointed by Morningstar would represent the big boss, rarely meeting the big boss face-to-face, let alone coming to Stellaron Headquarters.
PD suddenly recalled the infamous CEO of Stellaron Group, stirring a bit of unease, pondering whether they were really here to discuss cooperation.
"Let’s go." PD quelled her inner hesitation and led Holly into Tower A.
In the first-floor lobby, Shawna Lucas was already waiting, instantly recognizing Holly by her attire, "You must be Holly Jennings, right?"
"Yes." Holly relaxed considerably upon seeing Shawna Lucas’s warm smile.
"Please come this way with me," she said, leading the two to a private elevator that went directly to the top floor.
This elevator could only be accessed by Ethan Sterling and a few close associates with a card swipe, and Shawna Lucas was one of them.
The entire top floor was Aidan Sinclair’s workspace, featuring not only a super luxurious, spacious office but also a gym area and a rest zone, conveniently supporting long stays.
Shawna Lucas led the two to the CEO office entrance, "Holly, the CEO is waiting for you inside."
"Alright," Holly said as she turned the doorknob.
Shawna Lucas addressed the trailing PD Lowe, "PD Lowe, right? Please go to the rest area and have a coffee."
PD Lowe felt nervous, "Can’t I go in?"
"No, you can’t." Shawna Lucas’s face bore a kind smile, though her tone wasn’t gentle at all.
Holly paused momentarily, unsure why PD looked so tense.
PD Lowe glanced at the closed blinds and held Holly’s wrist, "I’ll wait outside for you. If anything happens, just scream, and I’ll definitely come in to save you!" However, the following thoughts were kept to herself, not daring to verbalize them before Shawna Lucas.
Although the big boss was known to be predatory, as a low-level employee surviving on the company’s resources, she dared not blatantly suspect him.
Holly thought PD Lowe was worried about her, confidently reassuring, "Don’t worry, I’ll scrutinize the contract thoroughly." She said and then pushed the door open and entered the CEO’s office.
She cautiously stepped in, sensing the expansive floor-to-ceiling window’s sunlight was dazzling, making it hard to instantly see the man’s face behind the desk. As she ventured further, his face gradually became clear.
"Long time no see," Aidan Sinclair spoke first, his smile like a spring breeze, warm and comforting—not too hot to overwhelm her, nor too cold to leave a chill.
"Oh my god!" Holly exclaimed and rushed over, scrutinizing his face closely, "It’s really you, Uncle!"
Aidan Sinclair broke out in a cold sweat, feeling his earlier teachings were in vain. Why did he cheekily try to exploit the young one initially, encouraging her to call him Uncle?
Absolutely beastly!
He got up from his desk and took her to the sofa, "Today, I called you here to discuss business, and I won’t give you any special treatment because of personal ties."
He earnestly lied, not feeling guilty about deceiving an innocent girl.
Holly quickly composed herself, "Okay, Mr. Sinclair, that’s also what I hope for."
Aidan thought, Of course, I know that’s your hope, otherwise why bother lying? He pulled out the contract for her, "Take a look first, we’ll talk afterward."
"It’s so thick." Holly, although having inquired about contracts from PD Lowe, felt a bit anxious seeing such a hefty one, "Well..." She flipped through a couple of pages, looking up at Aidan Sinclair hesitantly, asking softly, "Mr. Sinclair, may I ask a question about my Uncle Wilder?"
Aidan Sinclair saw her big fluttering eyes resembling those of a naive bunny, tempted to pinch that bit of flesh on her cheeks. However, he remained composed outwardly, "Hmm, let’s hear your question first."
